Zar finished the diamond tooth with a blade to the throat, and followed his partner down the now blood soaked hallway,"Real subtle.." Zar commented along the way, with a chuckle.

Jaycob had opened the door to the armory, instinctively Zar slipped into cover once he realized there were hostiles in the room.

"From the looks of it, this squad just came back from patrol. Let's give them a warm welcome." Jaycob had said.

Zar then noticed the men in the room had still not noticed them, as if the door opening was of none of their concern. Fine with the situation, Zar lifted his sword and approached the group.

Assuming he and Jaycob would pounce at the same time, Zar made a momentary head nod towards Jaycob and then lept into battle. His first move, an arced swing to the first man's neck, penetrated deep leaving not much holding it on. The blood spray from the severed artery covered s large portion of the now dead man's surroundings. Zar's blade was not full pulled from it's first victim when he landed a heavy right foot into the chest of his next intended victim, sending him backwards from the bench he sat on, to the ground behind it.

Stepping over the low bench, Zar brought his sword down directly into the man's chest.

At the same time, Jaycob ran to his first victim, lunging his knuckle-plate vibroblade into the back of his neck causing him to drop his weapon. The man next to him gasped and raised up his weapon to fire upon Jaycob. Jaycob turned the stabbed merc towards the blaster fire, using him as a human shield. The grunt only let out two shots before his buddy's body was thrown into him, causing him to stumble backwards. While on the ground, Jaycob fired a single silenced carbine shot into his head, ending his struggle. With the armory clear, Jaycob decided to take some of the enemy's munitions for his own. Then, he had an idea. He turned to his partner and said,

"How about we rig this place to blow. Just in case, y'know? A plan B if one of us gets captured or we're in a tricky situation?" Jaycob tossed a thermal charge with one hand repeatedly while speaking, giving a slight smirk under his helmet.

Jaycob's idea was a good one, Zar had no doubt about that,"I'm in.." he said in agreement.

As Jaycob was picking through the newest spoils of this war, Zar did the same, and after only a few moments finally found what he was looking for, a Type-15 Silenced Carbine, he had been needing a quiet firearm. Grabbing it and several extra magazines, Zar set up a number of thermal charges. This place was gonna blow whether or not their mission was a success. Zar then grabbed a handful of extra grenades, just in case.

"Ready when you are." Zar said, Not rushing his partner, just informing him.

One by one, Jaycob planted thermal charges in various parts of the room. Every charge was synced to two detonators, one for each of them. He tossed one of detonators to Zar making sure it was on safety. Making sure each charge was secure, Jaycob moved on. He snickered at what choice of weapon his partner chose, the exact same as his. Keeping a steady pace, Jaycob moved onto the next room...the mess hall.

The bad news is, there’s probably going to be a lot of tangos in here, taking a little break. The good news is, they’ll likely be unarmed. Now, there’s no way of knowing who’s inside without opening this door and revealing ourselves. What do you suppose we do?

Zar revealed the grenade bouquet he had tied together, consisting of three ZM-66 Thermal Detonators, two HU-DN Smoke Grenades, and a AS-22 Venom Grenade. Zar stood to one side of the door, as soon as his partner would open the door, Zar would toss the handful of active grenades into the room.

Jaycob was probably right, there were probably at least a few dozen men in this room, if not more. And the noise would bring others to their location, but if Zar and Jaycob managed to get this room cleared before that happened, they might be able to make it look like a catostrophic accident.

Zar stood there holding his Type-15 Silenced Carbine, and the grenade bouquet, ready at a moment's notice to toss the death ball into the mess hall.

Surprised by the cluster of destruction his partner's hand he said,

"Oh hell yes. Thermal vision on." Jaycob turned on his thermal HUD and nodded to his partner. He opened the door and saw the grenade fly in. A mixture of explosions, smoke, and gas filled the room and knocked out the lights. Once they flickered back on again, a room full of corpses revealed itself. Jaycob moved in, looking all around him to make sure there weren't any stragglers. He found one guy, crawling, inching his way towards the exit leaving a fresh blood trail behind him. Jaycob ended his misery with a single shot to the head.

And just like that, the mess hall was clear. No signs of life on Jaycob's HUD, time to move. Jaycob rushed to the next door, leading to the archives.

"Jackpot!"

Zar watched as the smoke cleared from the decimated mess hall. He walked in, his Type-15 Silenced Carbine hanging low in his hands and his mouth agape,"My god.." he whispered, looking at the nearly thirty men who laid dead, and one more struggling to move. Jaycob ended his struggle soon thereafter, with a single, silenced shot to the head.

Zar laughed,"These things are pretty efficient eh?" He said to his partner. Looking up he saw his partner piled on another door.

"Jackpot!"

Zar looked up.

'Archives'

"Well alright!" Zar said, as he walked over to the door.

With his silenced carbine raised, Zar raised his boot and sent it through the door, almost immesiatly after Zar squeezed a couple of rounds into whatever was on the other side of the door, all the while loosing a loud roar.

Less than a couple seconds later Zar, and Jaycob, discovered an empty corridor laid silent and cold on the other side of this door.

"Oh.." Zar said quietly, a hint of embassesment coming through.

Jaycob chuckled at the sight of emptiness and the three bullet holes penetrating the adjacent door. Tactically, he moved through the corridor, scanning up and down, left and right. Luckily, this corridor didn't branch off into other hallways, just straight ahead were the archives. Jaycob assuming his partner was right behind him, stacked up at the door and prepared for breaching.

"To be honest, I'm surprised at how easy this has gone so far. It almost feels like we're walking into some sort of trap." He whispered to his partner, his paranoia getting the better of him. Whatever was inside the archives, Jaycob didn't want to destroy so if his partner suggested to use the, "death cluster" as Jaycob called it, he would kindly refuse. Perhaps a mixture of EMP and flash grenades will give them enough time to survey the area for hostiles without causing too much mayhem. Jaycob grabbed one of his EMP greandes from his belt and pulled the pin, glancing at his partner he said,

"If you got a flash, toss it in."
