Once again Lanna was on the metallic, technologically infested planet. It was actually her first time visiting, since The Battle of Coruscant. And because of it, everything was strange. She could glare out the window of the sleek speeder she rode in, and imagine buildings melting down in shards of metal and glass, from chaotic explosions.

The girl turned her attention to the driver, and told him to stop. She stepped out of the speeder, letting a boot hit the ground, as her robes fell nicely around her. As usual, her hair fell down in messy tangles and waves down her shoulders. Despite having graduated into adulthood, she still did not know how to do her own hair. So instead she left it as it was.

Looking up in front of her, towered a massive building. She sucked in a breath, and then continued to walk inside.

Standing in the penthouse of the fancy skyscraper, she was met with a butler at the front sliding door. He took her cloak, and she looked around, meeting eyes with two individuals who looked like a married couple, sitting at a small round table, off in what appeared to be a dining room.

Smiling, she took a step forward, and caught something out of the corner of her eye. A young child. A little blonde haired, blue eyed girl peeking around the corner of the door. It was dark, and there were shadows cast over her, so Lanna had to narrow her eyes to get a good look.

"Madam Jedi," A woman's voice called from the dining room. "We are happy to have you here."

She made her way over to the couple. "Hello. I'm Lanna Singh," she said politely. "I was told you need someone to watch over your living space for the time being."

There was supposed to be another member of the Jedi Army joining her, but apparently he had not arrived yet.

They already knew what they were there for. Certain events had led to children being abducted and stolen from their homes. Specifically those of senators and wealthy families on Coruscant. It would be their job to find whoever it was that had been comitting the crimes, and take care of them accordingly.

The whole idea of it made Lanna's stomach turn, and she grimaced at the thought of who they could be dealing with.

"We will be sure to keep you safe."

A quick look at his watch already told Logan he was going to be running a little late to his appointment; a meeting with fellow Jedi Lanna Singh and a family who felt the need to protect their child with the presence of Jedi. It wasn't something that Logan was particularly looking forward to doing, if only due to the nature of of why their presence was required. There had been a string of child abductions in the area recently, a lot of high profile families. Not outside the realm of normalcy unfortunately, but they had been occurring with such frequency and success that something needed to be done. Lanna and Logan's presence here now was for more than security detail, Logan hoped they could get a lead on these crimes despite the authority's attempts and failures to do so on their own.

There had been little to no evidence related to the crimes that were plaguing this area of Coruscant, something that told Logan they were dealing with not only a depraved psycho, but a professional to boot. Not really something you wanted to deal with in tandem. The alleyway Logan stood in was quite clean.. almost eerily tidy for the space in between two buildings. He was down on one knee, running his hand along the duracrete. There didn't even seem to be a pebble out of place. Very odd indeed. To him, it seemed like the area was literally cleaned not too long ago. An unusual thought. It wasn't a street cleaner's work, no. It was too meticulous, even for this high society neighborhood. It was purposeful. Evidence clean up probably. Logan logged that away and looked at his watch again. He figured he should probably meet up with Lanna. He was already 15 minutes late.

It was probably another five minutes or so before Logan found himself at the door to the penthouse, a Butler answering his knocking and ushering him inside. He noticed the Jedi robes hanging on near the door, confirmation that Lanna wasn't late like he was. Logan himself wasn't wearing traditional Jedi garments, he was clad in his normal street clothes. Just an aging leather jacket over an old t-shirt, a pair of jeans and black boots. He handed the Butler his jacket with a nod and made his way to wear Lanna and the parents were seated.

"My apologies for being late," Logan said to both Lanna and the parents, a look of genuine apology on his face. "We'll do more than our best to keep your child safe. You have my promise."

Logan would allow Lanna to take the lead on speaking with the parents about the exact details of their assignment. She was already more professional appearing than he was, with her official Jedi clothing and her arriving on time. The family would probably be more comfortable speaking with her, at least that was what Logan assumed. He was content, for now, in hanging back and observing.

For now.

The conversation lasted a while, until Lanna finished informing Mrs. and Mr. Ellis about the actions, and precautions she and her partner would be taking around the house. She and Logan Ferrox would be taking shifts during the night, staying inside the house. The shifts at night were four hours each. Logan was first, and he would stay up while Lanna took the guest bedroom, and rested for a while, then Lanna would take the next shift.

There was a moment that she paused in the detailed plan she proposed to the family, which was when her partner stepped through the sliding door. She looked up, acknowledging his presence, then back to Mr. And Mrs. Ellis. "We will assist you until this criminal is aprehended."

It was late, and the parents went to bed with ease filling their minds, and little worry for the safety of their child. After all, they had Jedi Knights to protect them.

The little girl was put to sleep, and it was at that time when the young knight was alone in the open corridor of the house, that she turned to Logan.

"Hi," she said in a low voice, careful not to disrupt the slumber of any resting bodies. "I'm Lanna. I believe we met at a recent social gathering. Not formally, anyway... But it's a pleasure to be working with you."

She reached out a hand to shake, as she always did with a new acquaintance. "I hope you don't mind, but I have you on the schedule to keep watch for the next four hours. Of course, I can always go first of you'd prefer that."

She did not really have a preference, but she was hoping to jump on the shower before she got too tired. Such a pretty place to stay, it would be a shame not to take advantage.
