New Apsolon City - High Rise Apartment

Soren had come when he learned that a Jedi had been unable to get off of the planet before containment of the AMS virus had fallen. The city had been overrun in a matter of hours. Jedi Knight Tal Raliz had had told him not to come, but Soren had grown up with the man and was not about to let him die without a fight.

Soren had made his way quickly through the streets, having to fight through crowds of the infected before getting the highrise apartment building where Tal had last checked in at. It had been a whole day, and Soren was starting to fear the worst, but he couldn't leave before he knew.

The power had failed and the injected fill the building but Soren had snuck his way to one of the higher-level floors and found his friend. There was a crowd of the infected outside the door to Tal's room. After dispatching them, Soren went inside to find that the Jedi had just been bit moments before he had arrived. The wound on Tal's leg did not look serious, but Soren knew the virus would spread quickly. He pulled the lightsaber from his belt, planning on separating the leg in hopes of keeping the virus from spreading but there was a large crash down the way Soren had come from and the groans of the infected.

They couldn't get trapped here, the door had already been on the verge of breaking before Soren had arrived. "Hold on, friend," he said scooping up the delirious Jedi and made his way up to the roof, the infected gaining on him. As he reached the roof he was about to slam the door behind him when he saw someone else running up the stairs. "Come on!" Soren shouted.

Well, this was going poorly.
Very poorly.

She was uncertain why anyone would stay as long as they did when the AMS virus was running rampage on the planet. At least, why would anyone want to remain in a growing epicenter of the hoard when there were millions of other safer places one could be. There was a silver lining to all this, the redheaded Sith was able to get what she wanted, though the scientist was a bit disposed and now a part of the infected, she had the data that would help with her research. Though, getting off-world was going to be more difficult. Her ship was safely outside the city, but getting to it was going to be a new challenge.

Her exits were limited and it seemed like the infected were extra actively lately and she needed a way to lay low until things calmed...if that was even possible. Tiamat blasted open a door to a stairwell and started climbing, the Force enhancing her agility and speed as she moved with more grace than the hoard that was bottlenecking at the bottom of the stairs.

The redhead exited to one of the floors but only to find more of the hoard loitering in the hall and Tiamat turned around, taking down the hall and finding another exit only into more stairs. She leaned over the side seeing the stupid creatures crawling their way up, leaving Tia with only one option: keeping going up. There was a sinking feeling that this may be it, and when she reached the top, there would only be one way out of this mess. The woman shook her head, blinking out the thoughts when she reached the rooftop exit, seeing another opening the door. She paused, trying to decide if this were another of the creatures until he yelled for her. The woman gritted her teeth and pushed herself, reaching the rooftop with the Jedi and his colleague.

"Ah kriff..." she hissed, slamming the door shut as she saw the one was not doing too well. They did not have much time to spare, the hoard would be bursting through the door within moments. She walked over to the roof's ledge, estimating the jump to somewhere safer. "Its clear over there." she said backing up and glancing to the Jedi and then she ran. The Force pulled to the woman as it carried her over the ledge and softening her landing as she jumped down to the rooftop of a neighboring building.

The creatures charged up the stairs after the woman as she passed the threshold, Soren slammed the door shut. It was a heavy metal door, but the infected were already trying to batter it down. It didn't give them a lot of time but it bought them a few moments.

He set the injured Jedi on the ground who winced. Soren looked down at the ugly red bite mark on the red as it oozed a thick black liquid. He gave the man a pained expression as they both knew what had to be done. He didn't exactly want to go around revealing his lightsaber but it had to be done.

The blue blade hissed to life and Soren severed the leg which caused the man to let out a scream as he thrashed before finally passing out from the pain. Soren extinguished the blade, the smell of burnt flesh filling the air. Only time would tell if they had severed the leg in time to stop the spread of the infection.

The pounding on the door increased as more and more of the infected piled against it. The door let out a groaning sound as he picked up his unconscious friend again.

He watched the woman jump, covering the distance with ease and landing on her feet. It wasn't an impossible jump, but it was still curious....Any further thoughts vanished from his mind as the door fell open and the infected starting sprinting towards him. He jumped as well, calling on the Force for the extra strength needed to carry him and the unconscious Jedi over the gap.

Soren let out a few breaths. There wasn't an obvious next place to go. They could go down but the next building was taller than the current one they would have to jump over and climb the rest of the way to the top. He set the man down as he scanned the area, one of the infected behind them getting pushed over the ledge as more and more infected pilled onto the rooftop they had just been on.

"I need to get to the port." he said, gesturing in a direction off in the distance. "I have a ship there." he said to the newcomer.

She thought the bearded man and his partner would have followed, the jump itself was not too bad, even if for someone who was not athletic and was absent of the Force. The redhead brushed back her hair, clearing her line of sight as she saw the blue blade before the Jedi extinguished the weapon and slowly her face contorted into annoyance, "Ah, kriff..." she hissed realizing it was a stupid Jedi. Of all the living that still existed on this stupid world, of course it would be a Jedi, probably thinking he could save everyone on this cursed world.

The screams of the infected and a crash of a metal door told Tia the creatures were on the neighboring rooftop. She placed her fists on her hips, waiting to see the Jedi to be pushed to the edge in his attempt to fighting off all the infected. A small grin pulled at the corner of her lip to the sight of the man and his injured buddy tumbling to their deaths and splattering on the streets because he thought to be noble in his dedication to the Light.

However, that fantasy quickly diminished as the Jedi leapt to the rooftop and landed a few meters away from the redhaired woman. She looked slightly displeased that he was carrying the other guy, but it was better him than her she guessed. If anything, he'll be slowed down and the infected would be pleased with their catch while she got away. The Jedi declared he needed to get to the port and Tiamat shook her head.

"Not happening, its overrun." she said walking the perimeter of the roof to look for another point to jump or even to hide until the hoard calmed long enough to make it to the edge of the city. She stopped as she faced a building where it was just a little higher. There was an escape route ladder on the side and she started to mentally calculate her jump.

"You better leave him, or you'll end up like him." she nodded to the man who was not looking too well.
