A couple years ago, on the planet of Alsakan, group of men and women wanted to prevent the destruction of more of the environment on their blessed plant of Alsakan. With a little money pooled together and some bake sales and other fundraisers, they were able to get a candidate elected. In continuing years, they became more and more prominent on the Alsakan scene till even their senator to the alliance was one of them.
The party then became more broadly based in several other systems after which, it took a more cosmopolitan name. Other planks were added over the years as it became a larger and larger party which needed to encompass more positions. As the Sith were growing, the party advocated more peaceful means of intelligently dealing with them. Trying to avoid war if possible.
The party at that point had headquarters throughout the galaxy. Some large buildings, in other places, simply renting a room for a meeting every once in a while. Also, several companies were behind the faction, hoping to get exemptions while punishing their competitors.
