OOC: Open preferably to Jedi or others who would be on the FWA/Jedi side of the military lines
Varyn had only recently passed his knighthood trials, and with that he had an entire world of opportunity opened up to him. It was an odd feeling to no longer be forced to travel everywhere with a senior member of the Order, and it was oddly freeing in a way.

He had headed to Denon almost immediately and anyone who knew him would be about 0% surprised by that. Ever since his promotion, he had been hoping to be approached by the Shadows, but by his reckoning, they weren't going to accept someone as young and inexperienced as he was. That, however, didn't mean that he couldn't still be useful.

The Knight made his way along the backlines of the battle zone between Jedi and Sith. Rather than joining in the thick of the conflict, however, he had headed to the casualty collection point... and the makeshift morgue.

Many of the corpses had been flash frozen to keep the smell from being too bad, but Varyn was for something specific. Difficult to find, but he'd heard rumors from some of the reports that a pair of Sith had been killed here in the fighting. He could only hope that what he was looking for was still here somewhere.

Denon, the planet was liberated, but the Sith won't seem to let go. Still battles being fought here. It was the first time Ty Reus was this close to an active war zone since he became a Knight. So much pain here, so much death... The Justicar came to Denon to lending his abilities as a healer to help the wounded. Suffice it to say, Ty would have his work cut out for him, as there are lot of people that need helped. That is to say nothing of the dead from the makeshift morgue.

Right now, Ty would be soothing the pain of one lady, a civilian who was badly injured. Ty would have put his hand over her wound and closed his eyes. Then the lady's wound start healing an an accelerated rate, soon the once-grievous wound would be nothing. The would thank him and Ty would say it's not a problem. After that, Ty would walk away and takes in the reality of how awful the situation here is. As useful is Force Healing is, using it takes a lot out of the user. He would walk away and take a break.

The Justicar would then see what looks like another Jedi come into the area, he looks young too, maybe another healer? Maybe he should get with him. Ty would then slowly head over towards him. "Well, hello there. You here for the wounded as well?" he asked off the cuff curiously. If so, Ty could use the help.

Varyn was poking around the area, the sounds of the dying still ringing in his ears. He tried to put the thought out of his head. One could argue that it wasn't very Jedi to push the pain of others out of your mind, but from another point of view, separating yourself and your emotions from the situation was very Jedi.

He pressed on past the tents, jumping slightly at the sound of someone coming up behind him to say something.

Oh, uh. Hi. Uh... not... not really, he said. He had gone through the most basic instruction about healing at the temple, but it was not really his strongest suit.

I'm not sure how much good I'd be at healing, he said. He wasn't sure how much he wanted to share about why he was here, even with another Jedi. He wasn't... technically doing anything wrong, but it was... not approved either. And he was so used to being a Padawan that being an equal to other Knights was still really weird. Not everyone was "Master so-and-so" anymore.

I was coming to investigate. I heard something about some Sith that had been defeated in the area. Hear anything about that? he asked. For all he knew, this guy was the person who had done the killing of the Sith.

Oh, so not here for the wounded, and they are unsure about their healing abilities. That's fine, healing isn't for every Jedi. He's here to investigate something about defeated Sith, he wasn't sure on how to answer that last question. "Ummm, there are dead Sith on the front lines I'm sure. But any in this area?" the causality/morgue area specifically "I'm not quite sure, I don't recall hearing anything out-of-the-ordinary here myself..." he visibly pondered, he would look outwards, this area is vast, and there have been lots of wounded and dead-alike. Naturally since this is a population-dense ecumenopolis, and the current set-up is really make-shift. "It's a big area" he remarked with grimace, that is something unfortunate.

Ty was curious on what he was investigating though, Justicars investigate often too, but it's mostly inside the order itself. "Need some help searching? I take it there something special with these specific Sith in particular you need" There are Sith in lots of places, there must be something with the ones that have drawn him here. Ty would also offer some extra eyes, he's still feeling drained from using his healing ability anyhow, this should be fine.

Denon has been his home since his earliest memories. His teenage years had been filled with the near constant wars and occupation of his planet. Now the Jedi had "liberated" his world and that was enough to buy the some trust with him, through he wouldn't even pretend to understand the source of power these warriors carried.

When the war had began, the small rebel group Yroh had belonged too had joined side with the Jedi forces. The ensuing battle had consumed most of his group, his family. Now he sit in the medical tent getting a minor wound of his arm patched him. His injuries were minor, so he had been waiting for a while. Waiting let the survivors guilt creep in, thoughts threatening to overwhelm him if he let them take root.

His ears perked up when he heard to Jedi nearby talking about an investigation. He had to get out of here, or at least do something. He jumped off the bed, ignored the protest of the medic nearby but his attention quickly was drawn back to more dire patients. "Not to be nosey, but I might be able to help you with your investigation. I grew up here and know this sector like the back of my hand." he said, hopeful.

Maybe if he could useful it would get his mind off of things..

Varyn sighed a bit louder than he intended at the revelation that the other Jedi hadn't heard anything. Of course, it wasn't this Jedi's fault, but still. He'd been hoping it'd be easy. A quick in and out to be on his way, but the Force seemed to have different plans for him.

Guess I'll have to go through the morgue, he said. It wasn't really looting the dead. He wouldn't take anything that wasn't from the Sith, and that gear might still help save lives. Maybe thousands of lives, maybe more.

Looking for the gear, he said. Lightsabers, datapads, comlink, ID... things like that, he said.

I'm Varyn, by the w... he started saying when he saw the other person approaching. He actually heard the objections of the medic before he saw the stranger, but after a moment the medic rolled his eyes, waved a hand, and muttered what sounded like 'whatever' as he moved over to the next patient.

Uh... I mean, I could use some help, but... he frowned skeptically. Aren't you wounded? I really, really don't want you to get worse because you're helping me, he said, waving a hand emphatically to emphasize what he was saying.

He started to step back, heading in the direction of the morgue. The death that hung in the air was stifling in the Force and he started walking through the dead. Soldiers in Imperial armor, FWA soldiers, and civilians alike were lined row upon row under blankets. It was one step away from being a mass grave.

Look, this is pretty unpleasant. I don't want you guys to feel... I mean, I can do this myself, he said. He had never been particularly squeamish fortunately, but he couldn't say that about others.

So the other, Varyn would be looking for practical things, enemy gear and potentially information that could be of value. And there was another (@Raydo), someone that has some sort of injury, and their medic was heard protesting them leaving. They say they know the layout of the area, so that would save them all some time. Varyn was concerned for their injury, but Ty raised and eyebrow, wondering if it's something he can deal with right now.

"Not to worry about that" he said regarding the wound. "Mind if I take a look? I'll fix it" he addressed to their listener, Ty gestured with his right hand slowly towards the wound.

If the other person would allow, he would raise his hand near his wound - not quite touching it- , close his own eyes and reach out with the force. Shortly the arm would find itself mended, no trace of the injury would remain. Ty would open his eyes again and take a deep breath. Thankfully this didn't take too much effort for a not so bad wound, as he was already feeling drained.

"Also, I'm Ty. Knight Ty" he would bow to the others.

Anyways, in the direction of the morgue, Ty would keep an eye out for what they are looking for. Varyn seemed concern for them with what they would might see, he didn't seem to concerned for himself despite how young he seems. Perhaps he's seen just as worse if not more, maybe he's another one that has been out there fighting battles. "I'm fine." Ty would reply with stoicism, even though the feeling of death is all around and echoes through. Awful is at may be, the dead are with the Force, at peace.

He doesn't know about the other though.

He was about to wave off the younger Jedi. He was fine, well mostly. Someone walked by and bumped him, sending a shooting pain up his arm. "Alright, yeah, you can take a look at it." he said in defeat, sure that by the time the Jedi finished this other guy would be long gone.

Yroh winced in anticipation of the man prodding at the wound, but no pain came. His whole arm was covered in a warm, tingling sensation as the skin pulled itself together. When the Jedi pulled his hand away, Iroh let out a breath he had been instinctively holding in. "Hey...." he said in surprise as he moved his arm with no pain whatsoever. "Not bad..." he said, slapping the Jedi's back. "Thanks! Name's Yroh." he replied in greeting as he slug his rifle over his should and followed Varyn.

Yroh had seen his fair share of death, the smell permeated the air near the morgue did not bother him. "You looking for anything specific? They have been trying to keep the gear as secure as possible when it comes in on the dead but there are no small amount of scavengers who would love to get there hands on a lightsaber or three." he said. It had been a problem for sure but hopefully with any luck whatever the Jedi was searching for was still around.

Varyn glanced back to see Ty healing up Yroh. That was such a neat trick to have in your back pocket. He knew some people said that healing was the truest expression of being a Jedi, but Varyn wasn't convinced. He was a Jedi Knight after all. The naming wasn't an accident, was it?

Nice to meet you both, he said. He wanted to smile, but it almost seemed out of place given their current situation.

Lightsaber and any information I can get about whoever was carrying it. Name, deployment history... that kind of stuff, he said. He was starting to feel a little bit disheartened by the fact that looters had apparently been taking all that stuff. He could only hope that he could recover some of what he'd need for his coming job. Was he getting in over his head? He pushed that question out of his mind and pressed onward. Being a Jedi was about overcoming adversity, right? Still, the idea of having to go out and fight a Sith now just to get what he needed was... not ideal.

Maybe there's an armorer or something that'd be logging this stuff? Or someone who's been cataloguing things? he suggested. It was probably wishful thinking for the latter, but surely at least someone would have been noting if a Sith were brought in dead.

Oh, or maybe a battle report of where he was killed, he said, deciding that was probably better than checking under each individual blanket. He started heading in the direction of the command center, hoping to pull up whatever he could on the recent skirmish.

You weren't there, Yroh? he asked, hoping against hope that maybe he had been at the fight. But if he had, Varyn was guessing he would have said something already.

Yroh seems nice, Ty smiled as he was happy that Yroh's wound is mended.

Anyways, scavengers, looters. People that would dare steal from of the dead for their own selfish impulses, probably just to make some amount of credits at the local pawn shop. Ty would shake his head at such a thought.

So in addition to any thing that look like Sith corpses, he would also be looking out for the things that Varyn suggested above. Other than just a the three of them, there are no signs of life for as far as the eye can see for now. Just dead bodies, more dead bodies, and even more dead bodies. Gives Ty the creeps. Ugh. And they'd be here a long, long time time if the check over each blanket.

Ty would just see if Yroh happened to know where they might find some more information.

Ty would check his surroundings, something feels off, more than just the abundance of dead it feels like.

"Well, I don't know if it was the Sith your looking for but yeah, my squad was basically wiped out by a pair of Sith." he said, eyes twitched slightly. He wouldn't let those thoughts consume him right now. Maybe if he could help this Jedi, his friends wouldn't have died in vein.

"There was a kid, that's who we killed after he had jumped us. He had cut three people in half before we even knew what was happening. Hopper..." he started to name the names of his friends before trailing off. "There was an older looking Sith, though he stayed away from the fight. We finally managed to subdue the kid...His body will be here, and his gear should be logged in with a quarter master one tent over. Not quite sure what happened to the other Sith, one of the guys said they injured him but he ran away. We could also go talk to him, I am sure he is off drinking somewhere." he said.

Yroh would lead the pair of Jedi in whichever direction they wanted to go first. He forced a smile on his face though his finger nervously tapped on on the side of his rifle.

Varyn wasn't expecting to hear that the Sith had wiped out the entire fighter's unit, and he winced slightly at having been so... direct with everything. Maybe it wasn't the most understanding of him.

I'm sorry to hear that, he said genuinely. He listened as he went on to describe the way his team was slaughtered, and he could sense the pain in the Force. And yet, the mention of there being two Sith made Varyn's heart perk up just a bit. It was exactly what he needed: an opportunity to infiltrate the Sith without anyone being the wiser.

Quartermaster! he said, probably a little bit too excitedly before sheepishly clearing his throat and trying to subdue himself. The fact that the other Sith got away... was a much bigger problem. He would follow the freedom fighter along to the tent.

Crap... he muttered to himself, running a hand up through his hair at the realization that this was going to throw a big wrench in his plan.

Hi, we're looking for the downed Sith, he said. And his gear, more specifically. It's being claimed on official Jedi business, he said. His own lightsaber was quite evident on his belt, and... well, it was... partially true. It was Jedi business in an offical capacity, just... maybe not entirely sanctioned.

The Quartermaster... didn't seem all that interested, jutting a thumb back in the direction of the gear.

I don't want to drag you guys into this, he turned back to the others again, once again giving them an opportunity to back out.

But if you're still interested in helping out, maybe you guys could go talk to the guy who said he hit the other Sith and I'll catch up with you guys, he suggested, deciding that splitting up might be for the best... especially if the clock may now be against them if the other Sith was still on the run.

So now they had two leads. Varyn was urging again for them to back out. Maybe he's more of a solitary type is fine. But he also had a good point about splitting up being more faster. 'I'll do that. Be careful." referring to chasing the one who fought the Sith. And wishing they would be careful because well, never hurts to be cautious when dead people are involved.

"Alright then Yhor, have a good hunch that person may be drinking at? Maybe they went to the closest bar, or what may pass for one in town around here?" he suggested. Reus would gesture to invite the orc to lead the way. Hopefully they are able to get to where they need to go soon, maybe that Sith regrouped with others, got lost, or got finished off by someone else.

He shrugged and push down any whiff of emotion. He wasn't sure what this mission was, but it let him focus entirely elsewhere.

He led the two Jedi to the Quartermaster, a grouchy old soldier with a robotic arm. "Hrm?" he grunted as the young Jedi Knight burst into the tent. "Sure, ain't got much use fer' it anyway. Mostly just trying to keep punks from running off and stabbing themselves." the old man hobbled back to one of the gated off areas and returned with a box of stuff that had come in with the Sith's body.

"Sign here." he said pushing a form over to the Jedi Knight.

"You looking at hunting the bastard down?" he asked, his eyes gleaming with the chance at revenge. He could help make this right, make someone pay for the death of his friends. "Whatever you need done." he said.

With the plan decided he point down the muddy street towards the edge of camp. That is where they would likely find a very drunk Runa. "I'll warn you, Runa is fighter even when he is sober. Coupled with the day we have had and how long he has had to get plastered to wall....I have no idea what to expect." he said as they headed off to bar.
