It was a few days after Aden had come to Coruscant. Many of the meetings he had were now completed and he was normally goofing off. It was the day before he was about to leave for Abaji and The Retreat, though he had one more thing on his list. He had some things to discuss with one Sarianna Ro. The woman he had hired as the Ambassador for Komad Industries. She had been the perfect representative, a now integral part of the company. She was the second in command answerable only to Aden himself. But while Aden always seemed pleasant and trusting, his tragic childhood and hard life had left him unable to trust anyone completely. He was naturally suspicious and paranoid. Which is why he often preferred solitude or the company of droids to people, along with establishing an intelligence network. He had some very important things to talk with his Ambassador.

He now waited in the luxurious offices that Sarianna had bought and fully furnished. He wondered if she was nervous at his cryptic message. Though only guilty people would be nervous and he wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, as he had become fond of her.

Ms. Ro,

My time on Coruscant is nearly over and I'm sure you will be very busy like myself soon. But before I go we have some very important things to discuss. Several things actually and I'd rather not discuss them over a holo. Face to face is the only way to do it. So if you have nothing to do later today, please meet me in the Komad Industries offices conference room.

With all due respect,
Aden Komad

He now stood looking out the window over the ever bustling city planet, sipping some Corellian Wine as he waited for her to arrive. He of course had been several hours early.

Sarianna worked diligently on the computer in front of her, trying hard to wrangle new clients for Komad Industries. Every now and then, her eyes would move to the chubby little face that flashed on the picture frame on her desk. With every glance, a smile would erupt on the Echan’s face. The blaring alarm echoed through her office space. The Echani sighed lightly, as she saved her work and shut down her computer. Was it time already? Aden Komad had requested to see her in person, probably about one of their clients. Gathering her TranspariPad and straightening her clothes, Sari made her way to the smaller conference room. She didn’t quite understand why the man had chosen the conference room, when her office would have been just as suitable for a meeting between the two.

The lovely Echani knocked briefly on the frame of the door be entering the room. She immediately went to one of the side tables, poured herself a glass of water, and then took a seat at the square table. She leaned back into the comfortable chairs and crossed her legs. With her TranspariPad resting on her lap, she quickly took a sip of water, before addressing her boss.

”Good evening Mr. Komad. I trust that you are enjoying yourself, as much as possible, on Coruscant?” she queried, with a smile.

"It's strange to be back here after so long in solitude..." He said with a small smile, but kept looking out the window as he spoke. "I'm not a very social person, many people find me strange or annoying. Imagine that. But I suppose everyone's entitled to a bit of insanity, especially someone with my childhood, so I don't particularly care what they think of me."

Aden shook his head and laughed slightly. "Sorry I seem to be rambling and having a conversation with myself, very off topic."

He turned to face his ambassador. His silver eyes studied hers, as if seeing her for the first time. He observed her appearance and body language. Her hair and clothes were slightly disheveled, she had obviously been working tirelessly lately but even so she was as lovely as usual. He wore his typical attire, his silver hair messy yet neat at the same time and flashed a perfectly white smile. "I suppose I am enjoying myself to an extent. Also I told you to call me Aden, Ms. Ro. How are you this evening? It's a good evening, so I've been told."

”I wouldn’t call you insane. Your reclusiveness is a result of your time spent with your ideas. And I’m sure everyone has had issues within their childhood. It is how these issues are dealt with, which determine the strength of their character. You wouldn’t travel to meetings if you were a true recluse.” Sarianna responded, before realizing that the CEO was really simply thinking out loud.

She swirled her glass of water lightly as her employer spoke. A smile graced her face as she pulled the glass to her lips for another taste of its cool refreshing contents. She watched as his eyes darted about her body, no doubt doing what he did best; reading people. The man could have, and probably should have been Lorrdian; the way he constructed thoughts from simple and subtle body movements.

”You know, they say, “The eyes are the window to the soul”.” she began, placing her drink on the table and making no more mention of it. ”Sorry, Aden. I try to keep business and personal separate. Had I known this was a date, I would have ordered dinner. she chided with a coy smile. The smile faded however, when Aden made an addendum to his last statement. She didn’t like that he had to be told anything. It was a sure sign that the man was becoming a slave to his own system.

”You’ve been told?! What do you think of the evening?” she asked, before answering his question. ”I think it’s a great evening. Other than being a little tired, work isn’t going to bad, and lights across the city look like starlight." she said, glancing toward the window.

"A date? Well I don't think I've ever been on one of those so I wasn't sure how to go about it." Aden said with a smile. A smile that held sorrow, regret, and a small amount of joy. No one really knew who he was and he never spoke of his past. He made a point of avoiding it in fact. The boy that had been known as Aden was dead...replaced by the man standing before his fellow Echani.

"And yes indeed. I've been told." He followed her eyes and observed the cityscape. He walked and stood next to her. "Some might think the view serene, others might think it a marvel, but me? I see what others don't. The sad beauty of it all. The love being shared and being broken. The dreams begun and those failed. The lives beginning...and ending. So is it a good or even great evening to me? I don't know. The night has yet to end."
