Debt and Sabotage

1. What is going to happen in your plot?
Gellart is going to figure out why his workshop was destroyed, who did it, and clear (most of or all) his debt with Miwa. He will also gain some previously lost droid blueprints and some droid parts.

2. What other players will be a part of this?

3. Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place?

4. Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.
Thread 1 - Gellart meets Jason, Theo, and Eisley in a bar. The three convince Gellart to return to his store and see if they can find out if it was actually sabotaged or not. Luckily, they find a lead pointing to a larger rival company that hired thugs to do the dirty work for them.

Thread 2 - the four invade the other shop's HQ, catching them off guard and roughing them up a lot. They steal a bunch of cash and Gellart grabs some good-quality droid parts.

Thread 3 - The three meet with Miwa and Gellart pays back some of the money, and after explaining his situation, tries to get Miwa to forgive the rest of the debt. Miwa instead counter-offers, telling Gellart to go deal with a startup recycling plant that will undermine his business, and maybe he will consider forgiving the debt.

Thread 4 - The group goes and deals with the recycle plant.

Thread 5 - They return to Miwa and negotiate terms.

5. What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?
I hope to progress the story of my character, as well as establish relationships with several other characters in the Cartel. Gellart will also agree to make an upgraded astromech for Theo, Jason, and Eisley.

6. Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.
No.

This looks great! My only question is what upgraded astromech will they receive?

And remember, the plot mods are always willing to DM opposition for advanced tech.

I guess what I had in mind was that at the end of the thread I would submit a new writeup of a limited but better version of the M-series. It would have at least better molded casings and quieter servos. We deliberated initially about different arm options like a security spike and a thumbs-up torch arm, but I see now that those options are already available on the regular M-series and I don't feel good about adding anything else. I suppose it would still count as advanced tech even with the casing and sound upgrades, and though I feel like adding a little more would make it more worthwhile, I don't want to make anything too advanced.

As for DMing opposition, it might be cool if you guys could do so for threads 2 and 4. The recyclers and the other droid shop would likely have hired thugs around.

We certainly can do that.

Regarding the tech, anything that is gained has to be approved before the plot is approved. I would say upgrades to the M-series in addition to what you have outlined would be permissible for a quality 5 thread plot. However, those changes have to be tech approved first.

As requested, the modified MR-series (renamed the MC-series) has been approved! In my reticence to make anything overpowered or too advanced, it seems I accidentally made it somewhat generic.
