OOC: This takes place four years ago after Investigating Missing Diplomats

It had nearly been three weeks since the death of Senator Skieth and the Knight still had the bruises and scrapes to prove it. The Knight refused for healers to waste their time on her and let her injuries heal naturally. The Republic and the Order had launched an investigation, just for formalities, and left the young knight neck high in paper work and interviews for months to come. Kira Lumis was finally able to get the green light to hold a funeral for the former senator. But intelligence came in with unfortunate news. Rehni was already planning to attend the funeral, but the Council approached her with the report.

The knight took a shuttle to Kira Lumis' quarters to discuss the matters immediately since the funeral was going to be held in three days. With her was padawan Zolotoy, who volunteered to help, they meet with Kira Lumis.

Rehni bowed when they entered his office.

"Wells, what having you ons security so fars?" she asked.

Kira was reviewing the schedule when his secretary led Rehni inside. The new Senator stood up. Another Jedi was with Rehni, who introduced himself as Zolotoy Tsviets.

"It's good to see you again, Knight Rehni," greeted Kira.

Rehni asked about security.

"We have soldiers patrolling the perimeter with scanner-based checkpoints," informed Rehni. "We have more soldiers than usual, with snipers, since we have a special guest attending," said Kira. "Senator Cape Es Cade was a business partner of Skeith, so she was invited."

"I'll go talk with her then," said Zolotoy, though made no movements to leave. In actuality, he was using Doppelganger to create the mirage of himself in the room. The real Zolotoy was hiding in their ship, as to operate stealthily without anyone knowing. Zolotoy passed on a telepathic message that another of his doppelgangers would find out the statuses of Es Cade's security.

"Besides Senator Es Cade and her entourage, it's mostly just government officials and family that are attending," informed Kira. He paused to think. "Oh, and some friends of his."

"Security is standard," said Kira. "As for threats, I've received none."

Zolotoy telepathically notified Rehni that Es Cade came only with one aide and two bodyguards.

"No one's been told except for Senator Es Cade as to not stir panic," informed Kira.

"Security knows," said Zolotoy. "We should probably have security look out for anyone conspicuous. Most of these guests are big time politicians or family. Family shouldn't be too suspicious and politicians tend to try to put focus on themselves. Have your men look for people who are trying to not attract attention to themselves."

"We's shall keeping it that ways too." she told Kira and turned her attention to Zol, "We's should getting ins touch withing heads ofing security." she was positive that security for the funeral would have a detailed list of who is in attending for the funneral and she and the padawan can work from there.

Rehni bowed to Kira, "Thanking you for yours times, Senator." she said.

"So, what are your plans for the holidays? Taking Esmeralda and the kids anywhere?"

"Eh, we've saved enough for something small... Not anything major though. It's too dangerous to travel afar now without taking serious precautions anyway."

"Ah... sounds good. Much better than serving another rotation on the frontier though ain't it!"

The sound of the two soldiers exchanging banter as they continued their patrol of the west-wing of the compound faded as they turned at a corner. This was a dead zone, the small fragment of space where the cameras were blind. Certainly, the security manning these cameras would have known about it, but it was so trivial, so insignificant that a secondary camera had not been installed.

That tiny amount of space, that tiny window of time. It was all that was required. A minute gurgling sound was all that could be made out. With barely a pause, the two men in uniform continued their patrol. With the crisp sound of the boots hitting the floor in stride, all that could be seen for one fleeting moment was the remnant of a hand which quickly dissolved into nothing but a puddle of pristine water.

---

Aboard the Dawn Raiment, the personal cruiser of Miss Sha'sahondare, a pair of a woman's legs could be seen as they shook up and down impatiently. A sight indeed, the ship and the woman's legs, for they were rather exquisite indeed.

3... 2... 1... and go.

The pair of legs straightened instantly, a single hand purse being all that the woman took with her as she made her way off the ship. The sound of the black high heels impacting upon the ground would make it's way soon to the rest of the guests in the parlor.

In a trim dress so dark even the shadows could not compare, the woman smiled as she nodded her head at the those who gaped at her.

"Hey... isn't that. Isn't that the actress who appeared in An Off-worlder's call?"

"No, I think it's Ambassador Osheliak's wife!"

It was the face of someone who everyone appeared to know. Yet, none could truly place a real name on it.

And checking things outs there" she told Zolotoy then turned to him, "What doing you knowing abouts Senator Es Cade?"

"She's stubborn and calculative," said Zolotoy. "She pretends she's refusing to accept our help due to pride and valuing the Umbaran security. However, I could sense that she's planning something else. She's purposely putting herself in harm's way, though I discovered she has a personal shield. Apparently she's using herself as bait," informed Zolotoy.

The shuttle took off, she listened to Zolotoy explain the Senator's personality and what his suspicions were about her, she turned and looked at Zolotoy as he explained her intentions, "That I's hasing a bad feeling abouts." she told Zolotoy. It was a short trip to the security office and Rehni had informed ahead of time she would be stopping there, "Doing I's getting a Doppelganger or the real yous for this meeting?" she asked Zolotoy with a smirk.

All blind, all ignorant, all stupid. People had looked directly into their eyes, and had found no traces of oddities. So useless, so naive. The two 'soldiers' continued to make their way further into the compound, complete ease making up both their interior and exterior appearance. Oh the Republic. Oh the Jedi Order. This will be a remarkable show indeed.

The woman strolled past the guests waiting in line at the security check, headed straight to a male guard she had locked eyes with. One of the guards looked confused and slightly caught off guard when the women approached him directly with an apologetic expression on her face.

"I'm terribly sorry, but I do really need to use the restroom inside. Could you be a doll, and help me with the security clearance?" The woman smiled, the guard stuttering, confused as to what he should do.

"I-I mean, there's a line, an-"

"Oh please sir, surely you wouldn't abandon a girl in distress?" The woman said, biting her lip lightly with her teeth. She took out her security card, and took the guard's hand with her own. The guard swallowed, watching as the woman peeled his hands open. The woman stepped right up to the guard, her knee between his legs as her right hand quickly dug into the man's pocket. leaning in further, the woman pecked the man's cheek as she placed a security card into the man's hands.

The man's mouth formed an awkward smile as he obediently swiped the card into the machine. Green light. "You're clear to go, miss..." The man said, handing the card back to the woman. Taking it, the woman flashed another wide smile. "That's a darling, much thanks!"

Watching the woman step past him, his eyes trailing up her legs and waist, the guard did not see the picture that showed on the machine's last entry. His very own face. By the time the man turned back towards the other guests, he impatiently took a security card and swiped it into the machine before impatiently waving them through, the previous entry being just another of the many more to come.
