Vlatkat Itu
NAME: Vlatkat Itu
FACTION: Sith
RANK: Knight equivalent
SPECIES: Nautolan
AGE: 30
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 6'4"
WEIGHT: 220
EYES: Dark Red
HAIR: None
SKIN: White
CREDITS: 1000
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Several marks on his back from whipping.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Confirmed and potent
STRENGTH: The unique build of his species required to withstand enormous amounts of pressure underwater allows him to be much stronger than many humanoids, and this is further accented by his unyielding physical exercises as well as induced augmentation through the force.
DEXTERITY: Nautolans are naturally flexible and nimble. He is a decent acrobatic and quick fighter, as would be expected of a Sith his rank.
CONSTITUTION: Good health all around. He routinely submerges himself in pressurized containers of water as a method of meditation as well as a way to keep the sensitive pheromone receptors in his head tentacles healthy.
INTELLIGENCE: Vlatkat fancies himself something of a warrior-scholar, dedicated fully to becoming a master over his mind and body through an uncanny regimented dedication to studying and training. This is perhaps a remnant of the harsh and highly structured life as a slave worker. However, though he studies often, he has yet to amass a noteworthy collection of knowledge as of present.
WISDOM: Has become as well known as he has become notorious amongst the Sith for his unorthodox principles and philosophies concerning the Dark Side. These include unprecedented notions of responsibility, justice and self control not regularly seen in a Sith. This is based on his belief that the Dark Side is a pathway of expunging all weakness from ones self, and that sadism, bloodlust and greed show weakness in a persons ability to make sense of their emotions. Well versed in several thought forms.
CHARISMA: Outspoken and charming, he has pretty good skills in political speaking and leadership. His humor can be a welcome presence in the midst of some of the other more apathetic dark siders. This can be counteracted by his often rash behavior and brutal honesty.
PERSONALITY:
He is known for having a kind of brooding contentment about him, though has a relatively positive attitude that runs in stark contrast with his fellow dark brethren. He is said to be a very moral person, known for being caring (though at times showing extremely tough love) to his fellows and underlings. This is not to say, however, that he is a gentle person. Though slow to become perturbed, he is marked by a latent ferocity when provoked. His anger shows only minimal outward expression, being inwardly focused into a pinpointed fury.
He can become frustrated at times when confronted with his own shortcomings, taking out his anger in training and on the battlefield. He bears the scars of his past, and it is perhaps those origins that cause him to be so militant in his pursuit of perfection. They reflect on his ever present need to prove that to himself and to others that he is no longer the weakened slave child he once was, and to free others from having to accept such a fate.
BIOGRAPHY:
Vlatkat Itu was born under the majestic ocean depths of the planet Glee Anselm. Upon his birth, his people discovered that he had developed a strange coloring that was in stark contrast to the blue, green, and orange skins of the rest of his species; a strange and unnatural white. The elders took the child's appearance as a an omen of bad luck upon the clan, but despite their warnings his parents raised as if he were without flaw or difference, teaching him how to navigate the kelp forests and communicate through their complex underwater languages. They loved their child, despite the murmur of whispers haunting the background of his life, and the isolation he felt from the others in his clan. He was gentle, exceedingly so. Vlatkat loved the thrills and beauty of the ocean around him, and though he was scorned, he did not lash out at his adversaries.
As he matured, he began to exhibit odd traits. When he was angered, things around him would seem to move spontaneously, he began hearing thoughts of others, and he seemed somehow able to sense things before they happened. When others saw this, their prejudices escalated, turning to harassment and abuse by those fearing that he was some living harbinger of misfortune. Yet even as they beat him and tortured him daily, he would not hurt them. He was afraid to act like them for fear of losing himself. It would take more then personal pain to bring him to violence. On one fateful day, his mother was out amongst the village with her son when another Nautolan came up to her and began yelling at her about how dangerous an omen like him was. This argument escalated quickly to the point of the man grabbing her wrist, and when she wrenched it from his grasp he struck her across the face. In that moment, Vlatkats emotions overwhelmed him, and the assailant found himself suddenly thrown into the nearest bed of coral by an unseen hand, breaking several bones and becoming knocked unconscious.
This act was seen by his clan as the final straw, the needed confirmation that the boy was to dangerous to live. Close family and friends tried to defend him, but the superstitious fear of his elders drove the clan into an angered frenzy. They wanted to kill him. In desperation, Vlatkat fled his ocean ravines, swimming farther and farther for days. Eventually he would come upon dry land, and half asleep from exhaustion he crawled onto the surface that his father had warned him to stay away from since birth. He survived alone for weeks. Unknown to Vlatkat, he had stumbled upon a secret exchange point for smugglers, with a criminal safe house just beyond the trees where he camped. In a cruel twist of fate, he was found by a group of smugglers, and upon his discovery he was kidnapped, forced into a freighter and carried of to the planet Zygerria, where he was sold into slavery.
The boy was integrated amongst the other slave workers quickly, and put to work into an endless string of tasks, with each more unbearable than the last. He was kept under special watch by the slave empires soldiers, for they new a prime specimen like him would be worth a small fortune when he was grown. They whipped him, beat him, humiliated him, and worked him r the point of near death. They called him by a number unread of his name. There was not a day that went by that he was not in anguish, the gentle little boy tormented day and night. Yet even with all of these burdens, there were worse abuses that occurred, the ones that happened behind closed doors and in darkened hallways. To this day Vlatkat refuses to speak of them. After a year he found some form of refuge in a young human male named Kerikk. They comforted one another, acting as pillars on which their suffering could be supported. Often Kerikk would often speak of rescue, how the Jedi would not stand for such immorality in the universe to exist and would surely come to free them all sometime soon.
But no one came.
For years he toiled, the boys childhood sacrificed to the will of uncaring masters. He tried to be kind. He tried to be loving. He tried to be good. But as the years went on the hopes and dreams of the boy eroded under the evils that he faced. They all realized, one by one, that no one cared enough about them to save them. Even Kerikk slowly began to give up on being rescued. Day and night cycled mercilessly. Vlatkat began to experience a feeling, one he denied inwardly that he had felt. Each and every time he watched the beating of a innocent child, watched men and women be bred like animals before having their families ripped apart, heard the self righteous crack of the whip, the feeling infused itself into the fiber of his being. It gushed from his very soul. On the seventeenth day of his seventh year as a slave, the two were working on laying bricks for a seaside building. At one point Kerikk tripped while carrying a block, causing the block to break and fall into the pool of water. An outraged Hadley began beating him furiously, and all he could was curl into a ball and hope he would survive the encounter. Vlatkat watched. He grew tired in those few seconds. Tired of the burdens they had put upon him and his friend. Tired of running. Tired of weakness. Something happened to him that day. Something just snapped inside his tortured form. He thought for a moment, considering the feeling he felt welling up inside him. He finally understood it for what it was.
The feeling was hatred.
He was done being hurt.
The boy was no longer gentle. The universe had taken that from him. But whatever debt the cosmos had to him for taking his innocence was paid back in full that day. It gave him power. Power to take back his life from those who had murdered his inner peace. The man who had beaten his friend was on the ground now, motionless as dark red liquid flowed outward in a pool. Vlatkat looked around at the massing groups of slavers running at him. He reached down and dug into the dirt, and from it he pulled a large bone from some long dead fish. What happened next was almost to hideous to describe. Flesh tore. Chains were broken. Blood streamed down the boy's body like the thousands of tears he had refused to cry for since the day he was born.. The rage deep inside him, caged and compressed for a lifetime, was finally released upon the world to invoke its dark vengeance across the helpless surface. It was beautiful, in a horrid and nightmarish way. By the time the day was over, the blood bathed child had killed over 400 men with the bone of a fish.
He led them, the broken, the weak, a one man army empowered by the force in a revolt of unforgiving power. Through his strength, thousands were released, and they fled across the stars with him in stolen starships. Stories of his rampage spread amongst the galaxy. His particular skill set caught the eye of the growing insurgence against the Jedi, particularly that of a prominent Sith Lord. He found Vlatkat hidding in the farthest corners of the galaxy, trained him in the ways of the dark side. He advanced exceptionally fast, powered by a righteous indignation that fueled his strength.
He became something of a seeker of justice amongst the Sith, fully embracing the force with a passion seen only by galactic conquerers and mad men. There were remnants in him of the meek and gentle boy he once was, and he would always strive to do what was right. But he now understood. The safety of the galaxy had to be won. Order had to be fought for without mercy, and purity be guarded by an iron fist. The innocent needed a champion to defend them. The Force had been kind when it had molded him through heartache and agony. It had given him the chance to be the champion that they needed, and those who might step in the way of his quest would have to pray that they died quickly.

Profile for my first character! Probably going to be my main if not only character.
Had to move it here so it wouldn't get deleted at the beginning of the new timeline.
I'm having trouble getting the pictures to work on my profile. I'm uploading them from my phone so I don't know what to do exactly. This post effects system is a lot different than I'm used to. Would be helpful to have comments on his actual profile as well since this is my first time. Feel free to add him to the roster ;)
Would it be possible for me to sign up to this faction? My character is called Jek Zenos. I have a character workshop thread in the Dawn of the Republic planning workshop. I don't know how to post a link, sorry :(.
Thanks for the help. This actually isn't a sign up. It's just a place to post that you are interested in this faction. The sign up will be up when the new timeline launches. And we don't have a date for that yet.
Edit: To post a link copy the web address line on the page you want to link. Then when you go to post click on the chain looking symbol with a plus. Then paste the copied web address into the space. Then click insert.
@Six Yeah, lol not sure Dakota's dude would get along too well with Darth Sadeon, the deviant :p If you already have a PC master/handler, then there's not alot of reason for you partake. You are still welcome too if you really want to.
The reason I'm doing this for my characters, is that I really don't want their trainers/masters to be anything more than background NPCs, since I don't want to do training threads or planned missions. I thought it would something useful for the new TL, since training won't be necessary.
The other reason is that it makes my threads more personalized, and more "me", I've disliked RPing apprenticeships in the past because the other RPer wasn't really of the same mindset and didn't want to write the same thing. I really want to explore the personal relationships between a high and low ranking Sith, and avoid the boring-as-**** Sith philosophy talk and "moving rocks with TK" and "venture into this tomb!" deal.
... Hilariously enough, Sadeon is actually my take on what Palpatine should have been like, and I know @Dakota's char is also based off him, lololol.
