Hey everyone, I'm a relatively new member here (not to rp however), and I'd just like to say after reading through all those posts I would love to join you all with one of my PCs that I have in mind.
I've always been attracted to the Grey Jedi mindset, and the Fulcrum is just what I'm looking for.

Now to join in the conversation a bit, I was having the same questions about whether certain energy manipulation Force powers were considered 'dark'. For example, Force Lightning is obviously dark as you'd need raw emotion and anger to conjure them in the first place. What about other energy manifestations? Unfortunately I haven't read any of the other Star Wars novels where this might be answered, but it seems Jedi only use Force Pushes when they need to be more aggressive. It would appear that any energy manipulation is inherently dark (which I really would dislike if it were the case and disagree with if it is true). Making a burst of light sounds 'light' enough but what about anything that's aggressive? Can any energy be created and used offensively while staying balanced or non-dark?

About the energy manipulation, it's contingent, IMO. Officially, I'll defer you to the Energy Manipulation segment of the Force Powers thread(just read all of it, it's awesome) under Timeline Announcements. Beyond what is stated there, it seems it depends on the situation, character, circumstances, emotional state and/or any other conditions one might find themselves in. I, for one, know that I don't need to get pissed off in order to conjure some fire to keep myself from freezing to death, nor do I need to be filled with hate to disable some droids with a little EMP, equally, I doubt the Darkside is at all involved in the creation of a temporary Energy Shield.

Oh, that reminds me actually.
Shalken and I are planning on potentially having twin PCs, just need to clarify something with the admins first. Our plan is to have them go through their initial training with the Jedi but then reject the Order's ways a bit down the road.
Essentially we'll need to meet with one of the members of the Fulcrum to become aware of their presence (and join them). That being said, I wouldn't want to set something up quite yet as I remember reading somewhere they don't plan on launching the new TL until mid February, although I hope it doesn't take that long.

I still need some help from a more veteran member for my temple of Adega. For those who don't know I plan to have a temple whose worship is that of a neutral force. And since the temple will be focused on crystals, being that since it is built in the mouth of a crystal cave, I hope to eventually have the temple be the ceremonial saber crafting area for the fulcrum, where the members of the temple will aid in the crafting of unique sabers for their adventures.

@Kibagami I think your character would be a good fit if you are interested

Mine isn't on the fulcrum base planet so I don't think my post belongs there. But I guess I could do it on the home planet but I had planned on my character being the leader of his temple.

Oh okay. I think having the temple on our home planet would be awesome, (especially since we don't have one yet) but having other temples elsewhere is cool too. Up to you dude.

Side note @Eagei ... where are you on admin approval for that if it's your own thing? We still technically dont have anything for our planet even, so stay frosty on that one

Unfortunately the Planet approval board isn't being monitored anymore. What I would suggest is posting it in the DotR workshop and get some feedback there. Once the new TL starts, they'll probably open up the planet board again.
