[fancybox2] The InterGalactic Banking Clan has been the mainstay of galaxy’s economics for many millenia. In doing so, the IGBC has been responsible for funding some of the greatest wars the galaxy has ever seen. As the galaxy again falls into turmoil, the propagation of war brings the potential financial benefit and territorial expansion to all of the members of the banking.

Because the IGBC is this largest repository of financial wealth within the galaxy, the IGBC will need to work with the main factions and the independent factions to offer loans, manage financial transactions and provide other economic services as needed. Some of these services however may not be publily recognized by the IGBC or its affiliates.

As with all economic ventures, there is a level of risk. The greater the risk however, the greater the potential reward. The IGBC’s Core Five will be tasked with protecting the economy of the galaxy and the interests of the IGBC; violently if necessary.

Anyone can find a position that fits them within the IGBC and we wish to have people of all talents join the ranks. However, the upper echelons of the IGBC contain some of the smartest economic minds in the galaxy. The IGBC is run by a group of five individuals called the Core Five. Their responsibilities and job titles are listed below:

CHAIRMAN OF THE BANKING CLAN​

The Chairman of the Banking Clan oversees the operations of the clan. As such, he/she is responsible for ensuring that there are always duties for the other chairs to be active in. The chair will also bring propositions to the other chairman to decide upon collectively. The Chairman is also tasked with ensuring the services of the Banking Clan are running effectively and will administer them as needed.

VICE-CHAIR OF SECURITIES AND COLLECTIONS DIVISION​

With the large amount of loans throughout the galaxy, there are individuals, companies and governments who will default on their payments. The penalty for defaulting on your debt is the repossession of assets and collateral. It is the job of this Vice-Chair to ensure we receive what is rightfully ours. They will be tasked with a number of military grade assets to ensure their needs are met.

OOC: This will be the main military wing of the Banking Clan. This position will be the admiral of the fleet and also be responsible for taking part/creating mission that are very combat oriented.

VICE-CHAIR OF COMMUNICATIONS

The IGBC works closely with the main factions as we help finance their missions. This position will also work with the Republic and the Sith to ensure their needs are met and communicate our goals. They will work closely with the senators (as our senate liason) as well to ensure that the economic interests of the galaxy are taken care of.

OOC: This position will be responsible for bribing, assassinating or influencing senators in the galactic senate. They will also ensure our legal needs are met.

VICE-CHAIR OF CUSTOMER RELATIONS​

Smaller factions are important as well. Some factions may require the use of our secure vaults to store their spoils. The IGBC will never question ask about the legality how certain assets were acquired, but we will ask for how much you are willing to pay to keep it safe.

OOC: This would be the person that would work with crime syndicates or other independent factions performing black ops missions getting contraband, illegal cargo and hiding numbers from larger governments and organizations.

VICE-CHAIR OF DEVELOPMENT​

A business that is not growing is truly dying. This position will be responsible for looking into new revenue streams (which may be acquired by force) for the IGBC. This position would also work with new companies and individuals to ensure their financial needs are met.

OOC: This role is similar to the Vice Chair of Securities and Collection in that it will be supplied with military assets but this will RP with a focus on acquiring untapped financial opportunities.

OPERATIVES

Each position within the IGBC will be in need of operatives of various talents to assist in our efforts. Applications for these position are always being accepted for this. Previous financial experience is welcomed but is not by any means required

The Galactic Stock Market is a way to easily increase your earnings. Store your money with us and you will have a good chance of having more money than you did during your initial deposit.

Galactic Lottery:
For 100 credits a ticket. Anyone may enter into the IGBC lottery. Every month, the IGBC will hold a random drawing for those who have entered into the lottery with 2 people will receiving winnings based on the total pot. The more people that participate, the higher the winnings!

Secure Vault Access:
For a small fee, the IGBC will store valuable of various types in one of their many vaults throughout the galaxy. The security of our customer's belongings are of the utmost importance. We will make sure anything you trust us to hold will be protected. For a small price of course.

Noice! I made the basic template for the character I'd designed for this faction, I was just waiting for more information concerning it.

Perhaps we could even use the credit system for all the businesses, give the factions a real enterprising feel (yes I know, I just really don't want to give up on the LE)

In any case, we will need to know more information about the timeline and what other companies are going to be involved in this. If it is just the IGBC, then we won't need a Corporate Alliance.

Another thing we need to do is pick a world to start on as the Alliance headquarters. I am thinking of somewhere in the Tingel Arm, such as in the Corporate Sector.

Yes, it would probably much smaller scale anyway since this is earlier on in galactic history, the Alliance would only represent those resources of the organization itself, not necessarily those of its member companies.

All low-ranking members that join will be part of the Alliance itself. We still have to work out ranks and occupations for it, however.

Would this be one big conglomerate that controls many different businesses such like the Trade Federation or would this run more akin to a network of PC controlled businesses forming an alliance/union of sorts?

I agree. If my drive yard is approved next TL, it will form part of this Corporate Alliance. Plus the military hardware produced from my company can be used in the security force.

I cannot stress how important it is that you remember that this isn't a collection of 5 indie factions, but a faction in itself.

This means that you'll need fewer members to sign up, but also that you cannot start with loads of assets.
