Plot: The dead have risen. The zombies seek to eat the flesh of every human being on planet Earth. Jedi Grand Master Yoda has sensed a strong disturbance in the force, regarding the current destruction of a world full of force-sensitives. It was so strong, he could locate where planet Earth was.

Taking the opportunity to save the lives of billions and possibly recruit many force-sensitives to the Jedi, Yoda sends hundreds of Jedi Knights and Masters to Earth in order to aid the humans in stopping the flesh-eating zombies from destroying the entire planet. The Republic does not know about the secret operation, so it is only the Jedi who goes.

However, Yoda is not the only one who sees the opportunity with planet Earth. Darth Sidious also senses the darkness around the demising Earth. Anakin tells him of their secret mission which greatly interests Sidious. He senses much anger, hate, and despair amongst Earth and sees that there could be many potential Sith apprentices....

In this RP, you may make a made-up Jedi assigned to go to Earth and fight off the living dead, maybe even protect high officials on Earth (President of USA).

If only you knew the amount of zombie/infected roleplays that have died in the past few months...

Also this thread should go into the Diverse RP OOC section.:)

But yeah per Kaeb a number of Zombie/infected RP's have died. Try something else though:D

Though I do like the idea of Jedi fighting zombies.....

It's kind of standard procedure, discussions about the roleplay and getting it started are putting in the OOC area.

The thread itself will then be posted here....

ah, I see. I should have known earlier. Well I'd like to discuss a couple of factors in the RP. For instance, I intend for the earthlings to fight the Jedi at first. I'm not sure if it would be possible to deflect bullets with a lightsaber as you can against a blaster pistol...

Neither do I, but the bullets might be disintegrated the moment they contact a lightsaber's blade. Regardless, that's not much fun, is it?

I like zombieh movies. The idea of fighting them with a Sith, and fighting the people of Earth with a Sith, is very appealing.

Though, I would rather it be a spinoff without including Yoda or Sidious. Perhaps another point in time - or even different circumstances altogether.

I see your point, actually. Hmm... it does sound appealing.... Suggestions?

Hyperspace technology is highly experimental when it comes to extra-galactic travel, I suppose. Maybe a ship full of Jedi traveled to a certain sector far out into space, where they sensed a huge disturbance in the Force. The Sith did the same - however many characters. When the parties arrived, each was ripped from their galaxy to ours - far, far into the future, and far, far away from home.

"They were from a long time ago, and a galaxy far, far away."

This leaves ambiguity as to the timeline of the Star Wars galaxy when this event occured - and whether more will come (a Republic fleet investigating the disappearance, the Sith, etc.). Looking at it in that light, a lot of things are possible once we get it going.

I would not restrict the Earth to mere technology we know of today. They could have a few advancements - who's to say the United States, China, Russia, and/or the European Union and Japan didn't innovate some energy-based weapons, and even heavy sky/space ships, of their own? I'm not saying it would be on a very large scale quite yet - but it's possible, and the door's open considering the outbreak of a zombification epidemic worldwide.

Yeah, sounds pretty good... but I wouldn't want Earth to have skyscrapers going miles high just yet. The virus should be able to travel on land convieniently....

True. I was thinking more along the lines of high-profile, classified military technology. Future Warrior, anyone? :CHappy:

The Earth should not be at the level of the Star Wars universe and its characters when it comes to technology - approaching their level, maybe, but not there just yet when we begin. I still picture an American soldier with an M8 assault rifle when I think of this - and zombies in the usual dress you'd see on the streets today.

Still, the Jedi and Sith would approach the situation differently. I would think the Sith would infiltrate the planet and one or two of its governments to try to figure out what's going on and, maybe, to use it against the planet and the Jedi, or learn to bio-engineer it themselves. The Jedi would probably overtly try to help the people - only to be decried, maybe even attacked, by the military and even the people.

Plus, any Jedi who steps foot in an American city would probably puke at the state of the culture. :CDumb:

Most probably. It'd be a whole lotta adapting to do. So... do you think the Sith should go first... or the Jedi?

Flip a coin and see what happens?

Otherwise, the original idea is yours, so I leave it to you.

I'm on the fence... :CIsee:

Well, OK, let's have the Jedi be running away from pursuing Sith. The Jedi get caught in a wormhole, and are goners. The force of the wormhole sends them way into the future and very far from their native galaxy. During their attempted repairs to get the hyperdrive functioning again, they feel through the force that a planet (Earth) full of force-sensitives are being slaughtered. They are somehow not far from the planet. They repair their hyperdrive and go to the planet.

However, the Sith find a way to control the wormhole and use it as a means of transportation from galaxy to galaxy. Since the Jedi traveled very quickly to the Milky Way (on accident), little time had passed but only for the Jedi. To their home galaxy, time is far into the future. So a few seconds for those Jedi were many decades for their home galaxy. So the Sith and or Republic have found a way to control the wormhole so that A. They could travel back and forth and B. also found a way to control time so that when they travel, it will be the same time. Not a few seconds = decades anymore.

See where I'm going so far?

I suppose. I was thinking more like the wormhole being a link between the present and the past (or past and future) as well as between the two galaxies, since Star Wars was to have taken place 'a long time ago.'

Still, continue on.

Well we could have the Jedi learn of the ongoing zombie plague. They can try and help; also possibly train humans in the process.

I don't know about a lot of people on Earth being Force sensitives - several of them, maybe. Still, the opportunity to create allies planetside would of course be welcome by the Jedi. The Sith would probably look for those with the most potential, or those best to be used as pawns (President of the U.S.? *cackles maniacally*)

Doesn't change the fact that people will probably have no choice but to laugh at the robe-wearers until they get more appropriate disguises. Either that or give some strange, "OMG you people are stupid/crazy/retarded/kookoo," glances.

I'd imagine the zombies won't discriminate.

This should still fit in with the zombie theme too, though. It should become a struggle to survive for those involved - and maybe an opportunity for some fun for those with a substantial command of the Force. Shoving a horde of zombies into the sky to intercept a helicopter or two comes to mind. :CHappy:

Yes, indeed. That does sound like a good idea that the Jedi (at least limited) and Earth would ally together. And maybe the Jedi will fight a subsequent war against the Sith in order to protect Earth-humans from manipulation or the taint of the darkside? And yes, I agree about the sensitivity thing, but remember the Miruluka?

And yes it indeed will be fun to RP a force wave when there is a large horde of zombies surrounding a Jedi :CHappy:

I don't think Earthlings should even be remotely compared to Miraluka - I'd expect maybe a few people who are capable of being more spiritually in-tune, or who have that potential, to be capable of being drawn into learning the ways of the Force. Most of the planet should be ****ed in that regard, though.
