Why has this gone any further than a black lightsaber is a complete contradiction and totally unfeasible?

It's a color, does it really matter that much unless it's somehow uber powerful? It's just a color, let people have it if they want too, as there is a black crystal you can use in TFU and we already bend some canon, not like allowing black sabers will open a worm hole and the crew from Star Trek will arrive.

Thats my Oppinion anyways.

And if we say this is okay, then eventually people will be able to say "well you're bending the laws of physics there, so why not here" ot they might be able to apply our warped change to something that could make their char uber powerful, and then we wouldn't have a leg to stand on. Have you seen a black saber? It's basically a white saber with a black core. Why would anyone want to get into the details of the law of physics and that mess in a Star Wars RP? Well, maybe a few here would...

I just feel it's a bit...lame. And it defies physics, and SW doesn't deviate from the rules of our universe too much, so the rules of the RP should reflect that.

They're not real. Lightsabers are made of plasma and they look the way they do because they emit light energy(as well as other types of energy). Darkness is a lack of energy, ergo such a thing would be impossible. It was put in TFU to impress kids.

The black has white around it, so think of it as the white absorbing all of the light from the black core, causing it to appear that it is black energy. The black doesn't have to be any energy at all, it just has to be a void. The white is the saber, and since Darksabers can't be colored then that would make sense because it's a hollow core with no glow. It's easily possible. :CHappy:

You could potentially find a pink lightsaber crystal if you so wished, it's a colour in the visible spectrum, so other than looking like an anus, I don't see why you couldn't have one.
