COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE:

Damocles’ appearance is that of the typical Caucasian male, for the most part. He stands at 6 foot exactly with a muscular build. He doesn’t have a particularly striking face, more like a darkly handsome one if anything. He sports a shaved head, with the stubble growing pitch black in colour.

However, most people never see this. Infact, even if you do see below his near irremovable helmet, you will still probably not notice these features. No, the most striking feature of his entire face is that a large portion of it, at least a quarter, is missing. From just above the right ear to the bottom of his jaw is a metallic skull in its place, complete with a glowing red eye for good measure. Portions of his brain are visible below a transparisteel casing, showing where the circuitry meets flesh and organ to repair a broken man. Ironically, his skull is more resistant to damage than his helmet, but a man can be ashamed of appearance, can’t he?

PERSONALITY:

Damocles’ personality is a fusion of his own personality that he developed during his life, and that of the computer that aids in running his brain and bodily functions. This as lead to a split personality type ordeal, as Damocles is often observed conversing with the sentient AI, and constantly engages in “telepathy” with it.

Damocles himself is not a serious character while not on the hunt. In fact he is fairly jovial as long as he is in a comfortable situation, which the AI tends to attempt to undermine by alerting him to possible threats, though he can be incredibly cold and serious around potential clients or people he generally dislikes. He can also end up deadly against the latter, and occasionally the former.

Damocles is also quite egotistical, constantly viewing himself as one of the best Bounty Hunters of all time, which is up for debate. Majorly. This is reinforced by his huge love for tech in combat, tending to use technical terms when talking about his guns as if it makes him seem more intelligent.

However, the AI is obviously more logical, consistently analyzing situations and calculating risk to ensure the survival of his “host”. While the AI is genderless, “thinks” in what Damocles, illogically, perceives as a male voice. The most profound affect on Damocles personality is the slightly utilitarian, possibly even nihilistic, view on the Universe.

EQUIPMENT:

Blackhound Carbine
Manufactured by: Da Soocha V Militia
Model: BHC MK.1.1
Weight: 3 kg
Length: 55 cm
Cartridge: Energy based, approx. 50 rd/charge
Effective Range: 200 meters
Maximum Rate of Fire: 700 rd/min
Description: Originally designed for the security forces of Da Soocha V, the Blackhound Carbine quickly drew the attention of the Hutt Military. Utilizing a tiny profile, customizable frame, and quick rate of fire, the Blackhound was immediately purchased and put into deployment. While the energy output per bolt is lower than that of the HEIR, the sheer rate of automatic or single fire from the Blackhound does more than compensate. It typically sees use as part of security forces, commando units, or for typically noncombat personnel such as pilots and drivers. Most notably, the Blackhound is the main weapon in Darksaber Squadron’s loadout. Can fire single fire, double shot, three round burst, five round burst, or full automatic.

Razorback Pistol
Manufactured by: Hutt Engineering/ Sluis Van Arms
Model: MK4.4
Weight: 1.25 kg
Length: 23 cm
Cartridge: Energy based, 50 rd/charge
Effective Range: 75 meters
Maximum Rate of Fire: 480 rd/min
Description: Designed as part of the Razorback program, the Razorback Pistol is a quick-firing, short-range pistol designed to maximize firepower while minimizing cost. While the Razorback program shrunk, presence of the Razorback Pistol did not- it soon found its way into security forces, commando groups, and personal armaments. Extremely effective, but expensive to maintain: can fire single fire or full automatic.

T-88 Gauntlet W/ Grappling Hook Attachment.
Manufactured by: Hutt Engineering
Model: T-88.
Weight: 2.5kg
Cartridge: 3 Darts.
Effective Range: 30 Feet
Maximum Rate of Fire: 3 per minute (Effective Reload time)
Description: Manufactured by Hutt Engineering, the gauntlet is designed to provide adequate protection from both energy-based attacks and physical strikes. Due to the increasing popularity of Personal Energy shields, his armour has been fitted with heavier armour plates to combat those who counter with melee weaponry. The “dart” is launched from a small hole at the top of the wrist, and once pulled on, will open into a three-pronged hook that will give stable grip onto an object. The cord that connects the gauntlet and dart is approximately 30 feet long and composed of fibercord.

T-88 Gauntlet w/ Stun Net Launcher
Manufactured by: Hutt Engineering
Model: T-88.
Weight: 2.5kg
Cartridge: 2 Nets.
Effective Range: 20 feet.
Description: Manufactured by Hutt Engineering, the gauntlet is designed to provide adequate protection from both energy-based attacks and physical strikes. It has been modified to launch a stun-net from an arc shaped launcher atop the wrist. The stun net has a liquid adhesive that sticks to an object as long as an electrical current is passed through it, allowing it to subdue targets. The stun itself is non-lethal to most species.

Imperial Grenade
Manufactured by: Hutt Engineering
Model: MK.6.7 (F/P/C/I/S/FB/TD)
Weight: .25 kg per
Length: 12 cm
Cartridge: Type designated by color. Silver for Fragmentation, Red for Plasma, Blue for CryoBan, White for Ion, Orange for Smoke, Green for Flashbang, and Black for Thermal Detonator.
Effective Range: 2 meters blast, 7 meters risk. (Thrown versions only)
Maximum Rate of Fire: N/A
Description: The Hutt Empire saw the need for various grenade types during development of the standard Imperial grenade. While all types are seen regularly, the most common types seen with the regular soldier are Fragmentation, Plasma, and Thermal Detonator. Damocles carries two Ion Grenades, two Smoke Grenades, one Flashbang and three thermal detonators at all times (per thread), unless specified otherwise.

Manufactured by: Hutt Engineering
Model: MK6.2
Weight: 20kg
Protection Factor: Energy (Heavy), Kinetic (Moderate)
Attachments: Multiple vision types (regular, night, thermal, etc), sensor suite, comm suite, cooling/heating systems, Imperial HUD System, Airtight Seal, Stim Injector, 40 minute oxygen tank, radiation protection (optional)
Color: Gunmetal
Description: While derived from Razorback armor, the ISDS Grade II did not retain the cosmetic appearance of its predecessor. Instead, it took on a much heavier appearance to better armor the heavy soldiers. These soldiers are typically deployed in extreme environments or critical battles.

Damocles further modified this. By stripping the armour of unnecessary energy dampening plates and replacing them with lighter, more durable plates, he created a lighter suit that acts like a combination of the ISDS Grade II and the ISDS Grade I. In particular, the addition of a jet-pack was the most major upgrade.

Castus_by_thedarkestseason.jpg

Manufactured by: Hutt Engineering
Model: HB2.8
Weight: 2.5kg
Protection Factor: Energy (Light), Kinetic (Light)
Attachments: Personal Shield Generator, Ammo Cartridges, Grenade Holsters, Medkit.
Color: Gunmetal
Description: A gunmetal belt that holds Damocles' ammunition, grenades and medkits.

Manufactured by: Hutt Engineering
Color: Crome, transparent.
Description: As a result of injuries Damocles sustained, Hutt Engineers cybernetically restored his functions through implanting a computer servo into his brain to aid him and also repairing and reinforcing his shattered skull. As a result of this, his has access to a wider spectrum of sight, which is practically useless due to the same features on his helmet. The speed in which electrical signals travel is enhanced aswell, granting greater reaction speed and thinking. The computer portion of his brain is also capable of downloading blueprints, strategies and even fighting-styles, allowing him to effectively master any form of combat as long as his body is capable to performing such feats. He can also communicate with droids, and hack into terminals using these functions.

Manufactured by: Sluis Van Technologies
Model:Cormoran MF8
Class: Starfighter/Transport
Length: 6 Meters
Crew: 1 minimum, 3 optimal
Shielding: Medium Arms
Armament:
Swivel-mounted Chaingun (2)
Turreted Laser Cannon (1)
Description:

The Sword’s name is a misnomer, which becomes apparent once you observe it’s mostly curved surface, in contrast to the idea of such a ship being sharp and jagged. This has been done so as too deflect any fire that the ship may come under, so as to reduce damage. The ship itself is plated with energy-resistant metals, which provide greater reinforcement against fire ontop of his shields. The viewports and front window are made of transparisteel.

Cubicals:

It’s entire purpose is to be used to ferry Damocles from one bounty to the other, and such has been fitted with three small cubical cells at the rear of the hold, which are comprised of reinforced metal, with a transparisteel slit in the door at eye level so Damocles can check on his prisoners. These cubicals have a base of ½ meter, forcing all but the smallest of species to remain standing for the duration of the flight, which can last days. This is to exhaust the bounty, so there is no struggle once he is unloaded, but also as a form of torture as it prevents them from sleeping. None of the three cubicals share any walls, and are thus completely separate. For the larger species there is a nice set of adjustable shackles on the walls to strap down the wrists, elbows, neck, waist, knees and ankles of up to three bounties. Fun times for all.

Criticism is welcome, and actually severely wanted. In terms of equipment, I'm not sure if this is too much for a BH to start with and such, so tell me what to tone down and what are substitutes to weapons I already have to tone down too, as all I could find was the Hutt Engineering thread in terms of Technology.

It's good. The equipment isn't too much per se, he does look a tiny bit overpowered, but as long as you don't abuse the amount of tech he has IC you should be fine. I would take out the shield generator on his power belt however. Shields are kind of frowned upon, reason being that in the current timeline they'd be bulky and unstable. Plus strategically it presents a huge target - if I shoot your shield generator it will explode and that explosion will probably kill you armor or no armor.

I really like the character though. I hope you stick around, a lot of newbies tend to float in and float out like little clouds. Also, you should write that biography whenever you get a chance. A timeline of events like that will only fly for so long, and if you try to rank up in factions they might ask you to finish your history first.

Nice first character though. Once the microjump lands, maybe I'll see you around the RP.

Yeah I don't really know the tech that well in this time period, so the POWER BELT is gone. Cry face.

Edits also made to armour to compensate, AKA increased Energy Resistance at the price of Kinetic Resistance.
