Dalrel Anater’zin

2nn400.jpg

NAME: Dalrel Anater'zin
ALIAS(ES): The Good Doctor, Prince Anater
FACTION: The Sith Brotherhood (Sacred Band of Ziost)
RANK: Brother
SPECIES: Falleen
HOMEWORLD: Falleen

AGE: 83
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 1,58 Meters
WEIGHT: 79 kg
EYES: The iris of his eyes is entrancingly yellow, complete with green, reptilian slits.
HAIR: His dark green hair has an almost blackish coloring to them. He grows it along the center of his head, moving down in a short, but clear line towards his spine. As with many other Falleen warriors, he usually wears it tightly bound into an orderly plait that goes down until the middle of his shoulders.
SKIN: He has a leathery, almost scaly green tone to his skin. Like other Falleen, he is able to change the tone of his skin to other shades of green and even into a reddish hue.
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: At the first glance, one might notice a few scars every here and there on the body of the Falleen. Though most of them add to the image of the warrior he is putting on and augment his rough charm. More distinctively is that most of his right arm, leg and even side have been replaced by cybernetics in an attempt to replenish what no longer could have been saved. A layer of skin has been applied to cover the cybernetic organs, though the appearance is imperfect.

STRENGTH: 4/10
While being part of probably the worst band of warriors across the Outer Rim, Dalrel is not exactly the strongest of them. While originally not past his prime in terms of physical abilities, past events have diminished them somewhat early on.

DEXTERITY: 5/10
Due to some of his injuries and the state of current technological replacements, his overall mobility, balance and speed is somewhat limited. Really you won't see him swinging around vines anytime soon. However, his eye-to-hand coordination has not suffered, making him very talented at fine manipulation.

CONSTITUTION: 6/10
Dalrel's numerous scars and wounds, as well as the fact that he is still standing, are proof of his endurance. However, the same scars and wounds are the ones that weaken his toughness now, not that he would let anyone know.

INTELLIGENCE: 9/10
Dalrel has been a genius ever since, that's at least what he boasts. The truth is, he is not entirely wrong. He is a fast learner and just as quick to adapt to new situation as he is to find creative, if not always efficient, methods of dealing issues that arise.

WISDOM: 7/10
Insightfulness and quickness of mind are two of the major attributes required for someone working alongside the Sith, if you don't want to be caught in the schemes and strange powers. Add a nice portion of stubbornness and you have Dalrel. However, his little superior complex sometimes make him overlook things he should not have missed.

CHARISMA: 8/10
Some may call it arrogance, but his latent aura of superiority seems to have a habit of winning people over. Though not as overt as the powers of Force users, he has a habit of shoving people in the right direction to make them do the things, he wants them to do. That the Falleen in general are both biologically and psychologically inclined towards social manipulation only adds to it.

FORCE SENSITIVE: No

PERSONALITY:
Calling Dalrel an arrogant prick would be an understatement. Over the years he has developed a distinct superiority complex, even after being rebuffed a few times from the claims of his skill. Add to this the ambition to shape not only his homeworld, but also the galaxy in total to his liking; one is safe to say that he has lost it. That said, he is not the one to be to obvious about his megalomania. In fact, he does a very good job at hiding it from everyone just barely close to him, which are not that many. True to his heritage as a Falleen he prefers to keep a certain mysterious allure, a habit that more often than not wins people over with his smile and antics. He is no stranger to offering loyalty to others, though it’s more like an agreement or alliance than real friendship.

He comes off as cold and calculating, which is true in most of the cases. He takes his time to think problems though, applying possible solutions and scenarios in his own mind before acting. He is not one to act rashly, though he once was different and some of his comrades know that these changes happened recently with his partaking in one of the most infamous organizations in Sith Space. Sometimes he is the voice of reason amongst his more warlike peers, though more often he is also amongst the driving force for seeking a more radical - if long-termed - solution. He seems more jaded to gore and the horrors of the dark side of the force than most, if only by what he has seen and survived.

People know, he is in it for the boons of being part in the reforming of an Empire. Wealth, fame, status and all the luxuries that live have to offer. While he certainly likes the advantages the victory of the Sith Order would bring, there are also other reasons for him working alongside them. Deep within him burns the bonfire of fanatism to the ideals of the Sith, the rule of the mighty through the slavery of the weak. It's a vision he is sharing, one that is the pinpoint of his loyalty to the Sith as a whole. Yet he certainly sees himself as equal if not better suited to represent those ideals as some of the Sith themselves.

BIOGRAPHY:

The Silver Spoon: Noble Upbringing
"Shssh, Lale, we should not speak ill of one of the princes. Have you not heard that they know everything going on in their houses? What if the prince’s father hears us or worse yet, the prince himself? He is the eldest of the master’s sons, which means he will eventually inherit the fortune of the master, including his household. This means, one day he will be responsible for you still working here, Lale, or if you are forced to live by yourself on the streets. You know how much influence the master’s family holds in Falleen Throne. If he wants to oust you, you will be removed from everything that is important to you. The heir may be young, but once he will rule over us. Better he remembers us as being well towards him. Better not to incite the temper of the young lord, Lale."

- Housekeeper of the Falleen Noble House of Zin

Medical Discoveries: Drums and Trumpets
"Dalrel, firstborn of the House Zin, has completed his doctorate in medical sciences with exceptional results. He has shown excellent insight into the working of xenobiology and surgery. Therefore it is our due to pleasure to congratulate this honored son of Falleen Thorne to his graduation and wish him to fulfill the destiny outlaid by his family to become a ruler of his house with the same effort and intellect he had put into his projects. It should also be noted that he has shown remarkable skills when leading other students, his future colleagues, in projects and during field expeditions. He has shown apprehension of the necessity to extend the life of a few over many that could not been saved. Noteworthy is also his association with the prolific student’s council of the academy."

- Remark on the documentation for his doctorate from the Academy of Falleen Thorne

The Long Journey: On uncivilized Worlds
”He was a strange fellow, indeed, arrogant and bratty like all of these wannabe aristocrats. Well, not that I cared though. He paid me good money. Enough to supply me and my men with all we needed for a few months. But heck, that trip took us somewhere; he wanted to go to systems even I hadn’t visited, just to take samples of creatures and lifeforms. The only thing that really buggered me about him was that he always gave us the feeling, he could do everything better than us. Damn sure, Ol’ Jim is the best pilot this side of the galaxy, however he got himself into some kind of gamble with our guest. He has been sick for one week afterwards. Unfortunately, we had to drop him off at Ord Cestus. That extravagant Falleen wanted to go hunt for some ‘rare’ beats on Yavin. Do not get me wrong, I am not believing in the Sith or any of that mysterious business. But weird things tend to happen in the Gordian Reach and I ain’t taking any chances. I am sure that guy will find some other idiot to transport him there."

- Captain of the Pouncing Mynock

Capture: A Lesson in Servitude
"Ah, Dalrel. What a crafty, young servant he was. To bad he did not experience the force like a Sith, not even in the slightest. He could have been such a promising student. He was found, captured by the guards outside the temple on Yavin IV. Along with the unfortunate crew of the vessel that brought him here, he was brought before me. Yes, I remember it like it was just yesterday. He was defiant and proud, even in the face of certain doom. Hm, how… philosophical of me. I had the others slaughtered and him taken as slave. I quickly found good use of him in helping me prepare the subjects for experimentation and even to clean the laboratories afterwards. His education certainly provided an interesting feature of his service. It took months for my words to finally take root, I had almost lost interest in him. I might have been that he had only played along at first, but he was eager to ‘study’ in the end. Accordingly, he worked his ways through the ranks of the servant and finally became my trusted assistant. I found myself explaining things to him, he could never attain. He seemed quite willingly to grasp them anyways. With time passing, he became my apprentice, albeit being unable to sense the force, and in time took care of the things I could not. I last saw him taking the pilgrimage to Ziost to rid me of this pesky rat of an upstart, Malik."

- Jharun, former Sith alchemist on the temples of Yavin

Trial upon Ziost: Noblesse Obliges
"My last story begins in victory and ends in failure. The laboratories of this hedge wizard are nothing but rubble upon the surface of Yavin IV. With that done, my master has sent me to Ziost to take care of the Falleen doctor, the idiot sent there. I learnt that he took part in the Trials of Ziost, with his location undisclosed by our fleet. That did not stop me, nothing would, as I landed on the planet and began my search. I was sure, with the Force running through my veins; he would not be able to hide from me. Unfortunately, I noticed to late that he had no intention to avoid a fight. Our fight occurred in the caves, the barren landscape of Ziost above us. He fought well for someone only being trained by an old wizard and his servants, to well. To late I noticed his trick, as my vision became blurry and dark. In the moment of his triumph, a grin, as malignant as that of any Sith crossed his face. That was the time, I know I had him. Rage fueled my body, streaming through my blood into my muscles to drive out the poison I had been inhaling. He was surprised, screaming as my blade burnt into his body, just barely pushed aside by his vibroblade. My lightsaber burned down his leg and stuck on his hand holding the blade. The end was near, but again, I have been misled. Even as I took my last breath, I knew I would be victorious. Burning acid dripped down my neck from the short, poisonous sting in the Falleen’s hand. The world grew dark and in darkness I joined my brothers and sisters on Morraband."

- Ghost of Malik Bejik, former Sith warrior

Scars of Old and New: Duty until Death
"We found the body of the subject ‘Dalrel’ in the caves of Ziost, as his signal indicated. The doctors reports showed that he ‘clung to live’ as the organics say, mortally wounded by duel with the other warrior who had come to Ziost. The condition was critical. Most of the tissue of the subject could no longer been saved and had to be replaced with mechanical components. Total regeneration of the subject: Unlikely. Usual termination protocols have been deactivated. Commence with medical process and regeneration cycle."

- Report by a medical droid of the Sacred Band

From Ashes to Glory: The Here and Now
"Now is our time to regain our glory. The moment, the Sith will rise from their shadow to crush the Republic. A glorious new age, a time where the strong rule, awaits us. Their worlds will be ours, their homes will be in ruins and we will claim what has been theirs. Let it be known, that the House Anater will rise with them to claim the darkness that follows." (Will be expanded with RP)

SKILLS:

Dalrel has the advantage of a longer lifetime than most humanoids, thereby the chance to pick up a multitude of skills and some handy knowledge. However, while certainly holding the knowledge for some, he might be limited in his capabilities to actually perform the level of physical feats.

STRENGTHS...
+His main strength and possible the only reason for his continued survival in such a warlike culture is improvisation and adaption. Being the quick study that he is, he found a way to make use of what he has and expand on it in short time, no matter what destiny has thrown at him.

+Being a Falleen, he is naturally resistant to mind tricks. Something he has tried to expand further by training and pure willpower with quite some success.

+ Another positive effect of the Falleen physiology is the ability to produce pheromones at will that attracts others to them. A handy ability which Dalrel has used to his advantage in the past.

+ While no longer the mighty, brilliant warrior on the battlefield, he has retained his brilliant mind and understanding for the tactics of the Sith and other Force users, giving him a bit of an edge in combat against them.

...AND WEAKNESSES
- He is physically crippled since his Trial and faithful encounter with his (currently unnamed) rival. It has much diminished his physical abilities, even if him being fully crippled has been sustained by cybernetic replacements.

- While he was once a good, or at least passable fighter, he now suffers from his body not being able to keep up with his training and knowledge, both physically and mentally. While he would be good instructor for young recruits, he is simply to proud to lower himself to such levels.

- He has a superiority complex (actually megalomania disorder), which tends to cloud his perspective in the least opportune moments and also sometimes hassles him with delusions. Not to mentioned that this is also one of the things that will quickly help you get into his favor, if you press the right buttons.

- Although ambitions and outwardly cold, he is a hedonist at heart, often prone to enjoying the finer things in life, once he attained them. At the same time, he is greedy enough that he wants to possess as much of these finer things as possible.
