Riunn's latest reply had served to move the conversation to a more personal level. It was answering questions rapidly, and seemingly, truthfully. If anything, the most surprising aspect of the entire conversation was that the other droid had yet to ask X0-R0 anything. So the black probe droid continued the one-sided conversation, drawing more and more information from its humanoid counterpart.

"Expanding outward is by design intelligent when resources are required, above all us the ability to find new lifeforms that may have different droid architecture"

"Well said. Expansion always offers numerous opportunities. It seems we both appear to enjoy the prospect of meeting new droids."

"I am a transporter of goods, allows me to move between star systems following primary motivation."

"I see. What is your primary programming, then, if I may ask?"

Primary programming, it would be a few moments before he replied, after all that was almost like asking someone you did not know their sexual orientation, All sensors would now focus on the droid, as it seemed even to himself that their was conversation digging going on. Every other conversation had not triggered the programming marks he had put in place, espically for sentients who would ask him questions. Now it had triggered a mark, and the response would be chosen carefully, switching out of Binary he would comment

:Common:"The memory file is no longer accessible. What is your function, X0-R0." Now that his attention had been pulled away, his programming only made it more evident that he should invest more into this conversation

The question triggered something in the other droid that caused it to pause, very noticeably, for several seconds. X0-R0 suddenly got the impression that he had the other droid's full attention now. That was good. When Riunn finally responded, it did so in Basic, not Binary. That, too, was good. It meant that X0-R0 had triggered something more than just Riunn's attention.

"The memory file is no longer accessible. What is your function, X0-R0."

The deflection was rather painfully obvious. An innocent protocol droid, for instance, would have little trouble announcing its primary programming. The droid's lack of interest in responding was understandable... for someone who had something to hide. It only confirmed Xoro's suspicions - this was either another puppet droid or one that had gone without a memory wipe in some time.

Responding in Galactic Basic also allowed X0-R0 to use the emotionless yet menacing drawl of its hidden master, which sounded much like a droid anyway. "I have been programmed for reconnaissance on behalf of my clients." The answer was only a half-truth, and one that did not put Xoro at any immediate risk, but perhaps offering a direct and seemingly truthful response would draw something out of the other droid. Xoro paused to see if Riunn would say anything. If not, he would continue.

He could not answer in the most prefered way he was used to, this was a very public event that required a hint of diplomacy if he ever wished to enter onto the Colony ship. The sudden want to access his computer input port and jam it into the droid to access all the data he wished for instead of this communication. These clients, heavily suspected to be sentient beings now, after all that made the most sense to the droid.

:Common:"I see, It sounds like you have a very interesting function, sentient clients I presume" Turning some of his attention away from X0-R0 and yet noticing others had deigned to not speak, almost if no one deciding to annouce their intentions for this mission. Interesting

"Sometimes." X0-R0 flexed its flesh peeler, which could always double as a device to tear a droid apart. "They tend to demand confidentiality, as I'm sure you can imagine." There was no change in the droid's voice, but the last phrase was a jab at Riunn's own confidentiality on the matter of his programming. If the other droid was annoyed, however, it had kept that to itself. There hadn't even been a vocal protest to X0-R0's probing. So it would continue.

"My clients find droids very useful," X0-R0 continued. "They appreciate their... diverse range of talents. But they also acknowledge their limitations and weaknesses. I have been tasked with discovering such things before." Xoro could see, through his probe droid, that Riunn had a computer port, just like his own droid. He wondered if Riunn was tempted to use it and download X0-R0's databanks. Of course, it would never come to that in an area like this. But just in case, Xoro had ensured that his probe droids were equipped with in-built blasters - not useful for combat by any means, but usually only a single shot was needed - and he could always detonate the droids at a moment's notice. In fact, they were designed to self-destruct upon foreign intrusion.

Letting its unspoken threat hang in the air, X0-R0 began to rotate away from Riunn, giving the other droid its back - including its flesh peeler. It had noticed the humanoid droid divert some attention back to the masses - as well as the stage, where nobody had yet decided to speak. A most perceptive droid, Xoro mused. The only thing that came out of X0-R0 was another snide comment as it faced the stage. "It seems that we may have been the only beings here other than Jedan Ridan to reveal their interests in this colonization effort. Such," the probe droid said with a contemptuous tone, "a disappointment."

Very much so, it seems we do not have many compatriots who wish to show their hands. In that case it was a pleasure to meet you X0-R0" Their was no more to do here for him, except posturing as he predicted what was happening. In any of the case he did not wish to enter into any more conversation, it was becoming a liability in his mind. Turning away from the Droid, he would walk away, noting the lack of droid stiffness that usually accompanied bipedal droids. Their was of course, alot of information to process now, especially another droid to be joining him on the Colony ship and their exploration of the systems. Continuing to walk out of the room, and making his way to the docking area.

As the other droid bid an abrupt farewell and began to depart, Xoro found himself musing that Riunn's behaviour was most erratic indeed. No doubt the product of having gone without memory wipes for a considerable amount of time. Unfazed, Xoro did not have his probe droid turn at all, nor offer any departing pleasantry. It simply floated towards the stage, waiting for someone else - anyone else - to take the stage and make an announcement of some sort. The occasion had proven remarkably unusual - but Xoro had the patience to bide his time until someone made an announcement, or the conference was concluded. He did not want to miss any information about the mission, nor the individuals that would be partaking in it. He had already learned much about one of the beings that would be involved, in any case. The probe droid occasionally rotated its body to get an impression of its surroundings, and see if anything had changed. Nothing had, as of yet.
