BIOGRAPHY

Before the Fall of the Sith
Cyrian Vrax was born to a family of modest means on Dromund Kaas. They worked in industry building Imperial grade durasteel plating that could be utilized in any manner of building projects. This was considered good and stable work on the planet, but left one far from the realm of the rich. Such people made up the backbone and bulk of the Empire, and they worked tirelessly for the security that the Empire gave them in return.

Cyrian was just 17 years old when he enlisted in the Imperial Army. This was a great opportunity for him to see the galaxy at large and go on an adventure. It also kept him out of trouble that he could find himself getting into at home. He was no different than any other trooper starting out. He went through combat training and shipped off for garrison duty on any number of worlds that declared loyalty to the Empire.

Cyrian was a hard worker and good Soldier. In the early years of his career he was assigned to a division that was putting down a rebel uprising on an Imperial claimed world. It was supposed to be a simpler duty, but the planet was in a state of complete revolution against the Sith. Cyrian got his real taste of combat here, assigned to trench charges and valleys full of blaster fire. He performed his duty well and worked well with his fellow troopers.

This granted Cyrian the rank of Sergeant, the role of a professional soldier was his. The Imperial military did not function as others. There was no moving to the role of officer for him, not unless he tried for the academy. But Cyrian was not in the military to climb the ranks, he was there to do his part for the fight.

As the crusade of Darth Stolas came to fruition, promising a new glory to the Empire, Cyrian was attached to the Sith War Lords command. The crusade did not go well and the soldier found himself on the wrong side of a large number of battles against the Free World Alliance. In one particularly brutal firefight his platoon was without leadership. Abandoned by a commander and with a dead ensign, they appeared doomed to surrender to Alliance Troopers. Considering himself the highest rank Cyrian cried out "Fix bayonettes!". A successful charge against the enemy allowed them to break free of their predicament and make it to friendly evacuation lines.

Cyrian's effort got him a reputation as it was dubbed the "Fallow Valley Charge". He has been the victim of some embellishment as the action was well regarded among the lower ranks. He was later placed with the Sith Assault Corps for his experience and expertise. Here he has performed well as a shock trooper, and performs his duty to the Empire and the Sith without question, as it's his role in life.

AFTER THE FALL OF THE SITH

Cyrian refused to remain loyal to the Empire after the coup against the Sith. He found those that took part in it to be betraying their oaths, and when the time came to choose a side, he was quite clear. The garrison he was stationed at fell to infighting amidst a firefight between loyalists, revolutionaries, and deserters. Cyrian's body was not found among the dead, and he was declared MIA from the Imperial Army thereafter.

Cyrian had in fact managed to escape and scoured the galaxy for Sith remnants, while hiding his identity as an Imperial trooper. It took many years of fully committed effort and dark deeds before he finally recently was brought back within the dark fold, where he has now committed himself as a Soldier for the Sith Cause.

Personality

Cyrian Vrax tries not to ask the question "why" very often, as most of his experience has found that it just gets people in to trouble. He follows orders dutifully and to the letter. He is not a naturally inquisitive person, but he was loyal to his troopers and the Empire. In many ways he is viewed as an ideal trooper, but his lack of ambition makes he uses to the Empire few. He can influence little more than the battle he is in, and while he is cautious and violent in the face of the enemy, he is prone to the same faults of any human in the galaxy.

After the fall of the Sith, Cyrian became entirely disillusioned and angry. He felt as though the Empire betrayed it's rightful rulers that had built it, and became a shadow of itself. He hated the Alliance, and the ISC after it, battling them on many worlds. He could not commit to an Empire that looked every day more like the enemy.

Reserved anger has become him, and loyal service defines every action.

Skills

Cyrian Vrax performs far better than average for a trooper. Cyrian attributes this mostly to luck, but it is his willingness to learn from his experience that helps him. He is skilled with all manner of firearms and small unit tactics. Whether it is observing a position stealthily for days or taking an enemy bunker, Cyrian Vrax is the quint essential Shock Trooper. The one piece of training he has over most is his aptitude with a vibro-bladed bayonet, which he honed mostly to help keep his "legend" as the leader of the Fallow Valley Charge worth it.
