Well this was going to be interesting. Here Drali had been doing a particularly large amount of anti pirate activity and she was attacking transport ships now. Well I guess it's only piracy if I steal it. We're just destroying these ships instead. She thought to herself as she sat behind the controls of an Illness class starbomber. The ship was well enough and one of her well trained warriors under her command was accompanying her in addition to her 3T series astromech droid. Both her command of troops and the droid were a recent acquisition thanks to field work which the Deucalian would not take for granted.

Other than her crew she was not alone. @Dani Kortex was also along for the ride. She was a pilot from what Drali had seen and heard. Hopefully there would not be any third party interceptions or hindrances. They were here to take out these smugglers that were moving medical supplies but that also meant the criminals were just prey for some other type of criminal. The woman had her scanners running passively. They were still within the gravity well of the planet but just near the edge for thhe time being. She wanted first pick on the civilian grade targets they were after.

Dani was on a Crux Class Fighter, she wanted a better fighter, but she would have to wait. She was here to assist an acolyte, by the name of @Zan and Drali in destroying pirates. Well, it is what the empire does these days, find pirates and kill them. She knew her place in the scheme of things, and that meant the acolyte was in charge. She sat her ship behind her to be hers and awaited orders. As there was no point doing something a sith did not want you to do, there was no pleasure in that. As she was not into receiving pain, though some zeltron were, that was for them.

She sat back in her cockpit, waiting and longing for the order to attack.

It would be a while probably until the small group of smugglers arrived. They knew their IFF tag but they had an open window of when they would show up. That meant it could be in the next five minutes or next standard hour. It all depended on when the smugglers made their move. They had to come high enough in the atmosphere first.

Keeping her scanners on she also activated her engine. They would not be at a dead standstill. The moment they showed themselves Drali wanted to already be on the move. Space was big so two ships moving in high orbit would probably not attract too much attention or dissuade the smugglers from making a couple hundred thousand or maybe even million threads.

She waited for an order, none happened, they still sat in orbit looking for anything. She was getting bored, and figgity. She sent a bit coms chatter to @Zan and Drali, Well it seems we going to be doing very little for a while, anything you wana talk about? She was interested in talking, anything to pass the time. As this was the one part of her job she hated, sitting around doing nothing, but scans waiting for the right IFF to come by so they could do something. Though this was her job, sit wait and don't crash or fall asleep while waiting.

Dani was not the only one getting bored. It was like watching a pot of water boil. She heard the woman chime in over the comm channel with a query. But just as Drali was about to respond a blip showed up on her scanner. They would have to save the getting to know one another for later it seemed.

The Sith signaled her pilot droid to start moving to intercept the ship and was moving at sixty MGLT. Not full speed but enough to close the distance. It was not a slow pace but the woman did not want to strain her vessel by having the ship go flat out. The moment the Nexus freighter was in range she began opening fire. It was accompanied by two bi-vane star fighters which started turning towards the two sith attackers the moment that she had started shooting at them. Her shots were only going to take down the shield of the nexus freighter for the moment but it had to be done sooner or later anyways.

Dani saw the blips appear as well, oh well at least the boredom was over. They had the initiative, so she swooped under @Zan and Drali freighter and came up under it. As the two fighters passed over her, this gave her the advantage of being on both their tails. She came up blasting, but they were slippery customers. She was having a hard time, pinning them for the kill. As she first fired they split up, one went to the left of her the other to right. She chased the one to her left and hoped the other would not get on her six, as that would not be a good thing for her. She twisted as they veered, they were trying to get her to break off his six. He succeeded, she managed to shoot him anyway, as he veered into her nine, right in front of her cannons. They blowhole an into their cockpit, the whole of the front of fighter tore off the rear of it. That just kept going in a straight line for a little while before blowing up itself.

Being the first to inniciate combat had its perks. Drali was dealing more damage at the unexpected enemy but it also meant she was going to be taken most of the aggression and attention of the smugglers. As her shots continued to pound into the light freighter the twin light cannons struck the defensive turrets of the ship making it unable to return fire on her. After a few more moments the ship's dorsal turret and most of its top was badly damaged. It looked like the cannon fire had done enough damage to slow the ship down as well.

While the main ship was taking damage there was still the starfighters. The shots struck Drali's own light freighter. Luckily it had medium shields though and could bear the brunt of the damage for a moment. Some still made it through, scoring the side of the ship and making the perky deucalian curse.

Dani having destroyed one, saw the other trying to kill @Zan and Drali freighter. She turned and moved at attack speed towards it, as she did she saw it coming round to strafe the freighter again. As it did its turn, she shouted Rrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaa, as she hit her ships throttle, and headed straight for it. She firing all her laser cannons at it, it turned to face her rather than the freighter and fired at her. Her shots hit home, smashing the ship into itty bitty pieces. Though it had fired too, the shots blew a hole through the wing, fortunately not hitting anything vital. She took a sigh of relief and then hailed Zan, They are out for the count, do you need me to go and get help?

Looking over her shoulder she saw that Dani was coming up on the tail of the ship chasing her own. The deucalian's droid did its best to jink left and right doing its best to avoid taking too much damage but the shots were making their shields fall fast. Aches and groans from the ship's hull said a few direct shots landed on the exterior or were barely missing. But thankfully the Imperial Agent was able to take out the harassing craft.

Turning her ship around the light freighter banked and headed back towards the nexus light freighter. "Smuggle this ya bastard." she whispered with venom as the twin light laser cannons pounded into the ship. A spectacular fireball bloomed internally, pushing aside plates as something within the vessel imploded, tearing the vessel apart.

Now that the enemies were taken care of she relaxed a bit. Drali would respond to Dani's question. "Nah, I'm a little banged up but I think I can make it back on my own. Thanks for the assist. You ok?"[/gfont][/exsize] the woman began having her droid run diagnostics. It was probably worse than it looked.

Dani looked at her wing, through her cockpit, she was surprised it was still attached. Though she was happy to still be breathing, which should not be happening. She then got a hail from @Zan and Drali she replied, in a bubbly voice as perusal, when the mission is over, Yeah I am fine, just been holed through. So I am guessing a be limping home as well. She then continued the inane chitter chatter with her wing commander all the way back, though she was not sure if she was listening.
