Peedunkee could get used to this. He was standing on an outdoor walkway, peering over the edge to marvel and the cerulean skies of Bespin. Per usual he knew practically nothing about the planet he was on, but he did know that it was beautiful. It was times like these that made it easy to forget not too long ago he was stuck in hutt space as a slave and pit fighter. He still had a ways to go to be considered 'respectable' but he was taking things one step at a time. Not needing to fight every night to sustain himself financially was doing wonders for his energy and ferocity when he did inevitably end up in a tussle or two. Ever since he'd freed himself he'd met many people helping him along the way. Sometimes it made him suspicious. Like he was being guided by some kind of will apart from his own, a power bringing him to meet all these individuals that had helped him grow stronger and smarter. He still had no name, still couldn't speak much Basic to supplement his huttese, but he was ready to show the galaxy what he was made of. That's how he'd been pitched this job anyways.
Weeks earlier he had caught the eye of a self titled 'businessman' looking to hire him for an upcoming operation. He made it sound simple enough. Peedunkee was to serve as some hired muscle to make sure their target didn't break free. Their mark was a senator's aide with a residence here in the city, a twi'lek woman named "somethingsomething". Peedunkee hadn't been listening intently to all the details. What he had paid attention to however were his boss' promises. The devaronian man promised him that if they managed to capture this person they'd make him king of whatever planet he chose. It was an obvious lie, but Peedunkee was far from the brightest star in the galaxy. So of course he went along with the man called Iroftis' plan. He certainly wasn't complaining so far. He'd been well fed on the way and got to sleep in a nice bed on their ship and everything. It was already more luxury than he was used to, and it made him all the more eager to get his hands on the aide. He couldn't imagine the wealth he'd inherit once he was king of Ilum.
<"Boy, our target's on the move. Time to get on our dancin' shoes."> Iroftis spoke in his ear via communicator in huttese. Answering back he said <"I'll be right there!"> He took one last glance out at the horizon, all the swirling clouds below and felt something stir in him. It was that same feeling he'd gotten before, that unseen force he'd never truly understood. Somehow deep down, something told him today would be a special day. With that he darted down the street to the rented speeder belonging to Iroftis and his assembled crew. They were four in total including Peedunkee. Along for the ride were also Oxxan, a rodian slicer, and Vesuun, their dug pilot/getaway driver. With them all piled into the speeder they set off down the city streets on an intercept course with the senator's aide. "All right boys and girls, song's comin' on strong so stick to the beat. Nab the lady, get her in the speeder, switch rides to get any heat off us then head to the ship and get outta here. Anyone gets separated from the jam just make your way back to the ship. Got it?" The other two gave nods in response and Peedunkee gave a big thumbs up, despite the fact that he hadn't quite understood what Iroftis had said.
To the aide it was just another ride to her office and there just so happened to be a speeder behind her making all the same turns as her driver behind them. She was too buried in her datapad to notice their tail. Now, Iroftis had intended to wait for the opportune moment to strike, on a less crowded street and with both speeders at a stop to make their move. But Peedunkee had understood "get in her speeder", which led to the ensuing chaos. He stood up in the speeder in a crouched position "Hey what the-" was all Iroftis could manage in protest before he lept from their speeder and into their target's. "AGHHHHH!" The twi'lek screamed at the sudden inclusion of a small blue man next to her. Her driver was startled and started swerving wildly, sending several pedestrians and other vehicles into panic trying to avoid the out of control speeder. The woman tried to slap him away which only made him more eager to give in to his natural instinct for aggression. He laid a solid blow to the side of her face, knocking the woman who'd probably never come to physical blows with anyone out. Seeing this and desperately trying to eject Peedunkee, he slammed hard on the brakes, sending the young aloxian flying off the front of the speeder to a very painful ground below.
Unfortunately for everyone involved, his little maneuver meant Iroftis' speeder trailing close behind had no chance to stop itself from a head on collision. With a deafening crunch the two speeders began to tumble and roll off the streets and into the busy walkways crowded with people. When Peedunkee managed to get his bearing and take in his surroundings all he saw was mayhem. All the occupants had been thrown from their vehicles, some weren't moving. Bystanders all around were fleeing in a panic, one of the speeders had burst into flame and the other threatened to do the same. He saw no sign of Iroftis anywhere. He gritted his teeth as he stood up, frantically searching for what he should do next. Then he caught sight of their target. The twi'lek was curled up on the ground with a leg that was pointing the wrong direction. He made his way towards her, determined to get what they'd come for. As he got close he saw her pull out a comlink and send a message to someone before passing out once more. Oxxan had sliced the city's network to ensure if anything went sideways the local authorities wouldn't hear about it for some time. He just had to hope whoever the twi'lek had called for help didn't get there before they could make their escape.
