Could Battlefront 3 still happen?

Lucasfilm just requested an extension on the Battlefront trademark. Last month, they also requested (and were granted) an extension on the 1313 trademark. This could just mean they want more time with it and ultimately will do nothing with it, but it could also mean that Lucasfilm and EA might be considering whether they should finish and release those games.

Considering that the makers of Battlefield and Dead Space are signed on to make Star Wars titles (and Battlefront and 1313 are right up their alley in terms of genre), there's still hope. Not much, but it's still hope.
