“Move! The transports will be here any second!” Bria herded what civilians she could towards the impromptu airstrip. Around them, fighting had broken out across the planet, with much of the populace falling in the crossfire of the ongoing war. Their ships wouldn’t be able to evacuate a fraction of the citizens, but they would have to do for the moment. They had to try and get as many people out of the combat zone as possible, although it wasn't nearly enough.

She looked into the sky, the fleet battle barely visible through the cloud cover, but the lights of turbolasers and explosions shone clear through the haze. Azarael would take care of the Accord fleet; she trusted the admiral to get them planetside. But it was up to her whether they’d be alive once he got here. ”I said move! Evac soon! Get to the pads!”

Jaycob was standing next to the airstrip, he was tasked to make sure the civis got in the transports safely. He had brought his Harlaw Heavy Carbine and his Gratia Blaster Pistol, both holstered. After he escorted as many civis as he could, he would haul ass back to his ship and get away from the planet.

* * *

The sound of transport engines were like music to his ears. He turned around to see 4 heavy transports descending onto the pads.

"Alright they're here! Go go!" he yelled. The mass of men, women, and children started making their way up the stairs and onto the transport ships.

"First transport is pulling away!" 3 more to go. The transports would have to take multiple trips to get all of these people to safety and Jaycob was afraid it would take too long. He could bring a family or two in his ship but there just wouldn't be enough time. The fighting had increased from a block away to across the street.

"Watch out!" Someone yelled as a rocket flew past the heads of the mass of people and struck the first transport. The explosion triggered a combination of crying and screaming, all of which Jaycob couldn't here through the ringing in his ears. He unholstered his heavy carbine and aimed it towards the source of the rocket. A high pitched "ratatatata" came from his blaster and the troublemaker fell to the ground motionless. He looked back up to where the transport was supposed to be. The lives of more than 50 innocent people taken from them in a matter of seconds...it made him sick. He then rushed towards the back of the line of civis and ran toward the fighting. He was determined to not let something like that happen again.

Reese reached the empty airstrip panting. He had seen a transport take off and figured that since it was shot down, it was friendly, and from an area under control enough to attempt a take off. He leaned on a storage container, squinting at the scene as he heaved for breath (had he really run that far?). Civilians were being frantically herded like a mass of livestock towards four, well now three transports. Good, this was good. They didn't look like the government type, but they seemed to be more than convenient Good Samaritans. That was a good sign. A familiar pang of guilt hit his heart, and he knew what he must do. He had a pistol and a sword, he had to help them save the civilians.

He walked up with new confidence in his stride to the nearest transport. He looked more than a civilian, with a cloak wrapped around his collar and a gear belt at his waist, plus the pistol at his leg. He looked like he had not avoided the fight though, some of his clothes were tattered and everything was very dirty. He had some blood on him that wasn't his; he had avoided injury but was sure he had a few singed hairs from near misses.

At the frontlines, the streets were thick with smoke and dust from collapsed and burning with blaster fire glowing through it as the sith and the accord furiously engage one another on the far edge of the landing pads. as accord forces engage in returning fire, sith fire stops for a few seconds and starts again but not towards the landing pad instead their focus has shifted to engage a force behind them. a white beam could be seen through the smoke and dust twirling and moving in quick movements deflect blaster fire and screams of pain come from around it in the smoke and dust.

It falls silent and the white beam disappears the accord soldiers rise there blaster as a figure begins to appear from the smoke. Fabian comes out the smoke holding the right side of his ribcage and falls to one knee. two troopers run towards him to help him but fabian waves them off, picking himself up and walking towards the accord's lines as he walks past he turns his head to the captain of the group of troopers "That's last of them but they'll be back and in greater numbers. best secure your defences" he says patting him on the shoulder. he finds a place a distance away from the frontlines a pile of crates and slumps against them while a medic works on his wounds.

Reese strode up to the newcomer, the warrior (@Fabian Retarma ). God how he wished he could be like them, the brave troopers who rushed the enemy against all odds for nothing other than victory. Grizzled, prestigious warriors who entertained cantinas with the stories of their endeavours. One day, Reese would have stories to tell about his life, if he could help it at least.

"You look hurt," Reese surmised, "I'm sure there's a spare medic who can look you over, should I find one?"

Larr Mattius emerged from behind a building, anger in his eyes. His eyes were red and glassy, and his knees still covered in the blood of his best friend. Larr knew not what he was feeling. His chest was heavy, yet filled with fire. He wanted to kill. It mattered not who, but someone was going to pay for the death of Zed. He tightened his grip on the lightsaber in his hand. The saber used to kill his only friend. The saber that would kill hundreds.

(OOC. This is the first half: Larr Mattius)

Fabian looks at the young man approaching him, he was nicely dressed but his clothes were dirt and a bit ragged, not surprising with what going on. he asks "You look hurt, I'm sure there's a spare medic who can look you over, should I find one?"
he replies "I'll be fine, I just need a bandage to keep my wound clean and rest but I thank you for the..." his voice drift as felt a presence of pure hatred and anger approach "do you feel that?" he asks Reese as he slowly get's up groaning as he looks at direction it was coming from.

"We've got to move!" Jaycob yelled as he ran in full retreat back to the pads.
"They've got a tank!" Explosions roared in the the thick smoke. He turned toward the downed Jedi. He's seen a few Jedi in his time and he knew that he was sensing something. Debris was everywhere...so were bodies. The stairs leading up to the landing pad was littered with bodies of both civilians and Accord soldiers. As the last transport pulled away, Jaycob knew that was the last trip. The rioters were gaining ground and he knew he should grab as many survivors as possible and pull out of the city. Hopefully, all this hardwork for others might get him a promotion...

Larr stepped into view, fire in his eyes. He looked about himself and absorbed his surroundings. Several ships were leaving the planet and bodies littered the floor. Then, he saw it. A Jedi. A wounded Jedi. The kind of Jedi that killed Zed. The kind of Jedi that was about to die. Consumed by anger and hatred, Larr extended the faded blue blade of his lightsaber and ran full-speed ahead towards Fabian.

"I'll get you a bandage, don't agitate the wound." Reese wasn't a doctor, but he knew that a man hurt that badly was only going to worsen his wounds by moving. Then it was there, a feeling so firm and strong Reese was surprised it didn't arrive with any more announcement. Reese didn't know how, but there was a massive amount of hatred about.

The blue light is what Reese spotted first. The lightsaber user, most obviously not a Jedi, was now charging at them. Amidst the Sith, with here crimson sabres of misery, who was this man?! Reese didn't spend any more time guessing as he unsheathed his vibro-blade. This was it, his crowning hour. He could fight with a sword, kind of, and could protect this fallen Jedi. He could already hear the tales the man would tell of him, an inconspicuous civilian turned surprise warrior who saved his life!

"Get back! He's mine!" A grin spread on Reese's face as he charged at the combatant, determined to take him alone.

The Sith invasion had not really gone as he'd planned. He'd thought, maybe, if he treated the Sith with open arms, they'd pass him by - possibly even add him to their ranks. This is not what happened. They had ripped into his apartment like animals, trying to grab him. He grabbed his DX-38 from his dresser and shot down the two men who had entered the room. Then he'd slung his rifle over his shoulder and made his way to the streets. Chaos had consumed the city. In a jostle with a stampeding crowd he over heard a women saying she knew of an independent evacuation group taking civilians. Now, Coleman looked up the street to see the rag tag group of fighters in the flesh. They looked heroic. He snapped out of his awe as a group of people pushed past him, and continued rushing towards a transport. Through the hectic veil of the crowd Coleman could make out two figures, one with an ignited blue lightsaber, the other with a look of steel nerves. The steel nerved man mouth "...He's mine!" This looked interesting. He watched, frozen in anticipation.

Larr continued forward, his eyes blurred by tears that refused to leave. His chest was still heavy, but he had a blood thirst like none before. This Jedi was going to pay. Suddenly, a man rose in front of the Jedi. The man's metallic black arm reached for his sheath and revealed a weapon Larr had never seen before. Some sort of sword. Whatever it was, it didn't matter. Larr was going to kill that Jedi, and if this man was trying to stop him, they were both going to die. Larr released a deafening scream and ran faster than he had ever run. He raised his lightsaber above his head, waited until he was a few feet away from the man, and let his hatred take over. He swung his saber downwards, hoping to slice the man in two.

Fabian force pushes the charging man in hopes of knocking him unconscious when he hits the ground so they can make their escape. he grabs young man's arm and pulling him back to face him before he could charge off. "A good warrior knows when to fight and when to retreat. defend an injured combatant is noble but getting yourself killed helps no one. now get your butt that shuttle before takes off and I'll meet you there."

Coleman was surprised by the last minute Force use. He watched, always amazed by the usage of the mysterious power. The wounded Jedi – or perhaps not – pushed with great might. Other civilians stopped to look on as well, awed by the presence of the Force. The evacuation. Coleman looked back towards the makeshift landing strip, more and more ships were departing quickly. Without a second glance at the action, Coleman turned and ran like his life depended on it.

Reese didn't know if he was mad or glad that the Jedi pushed him.

No, he was definitely mad. To a point, of course. The Jedi had nothing but good intentions. It was usually hard to speak back to a man of such stature and power, but Reese was firm. "I'm not chance that this man walks free," Reese retrieved his fallen blade quickly. "I'll fight with you, you needn't worry about my safety."

Now, at least, he could tell his grandchildren that he had fought side by side with Jedi.

Larr lay motionless on the ground. Something had pushed him back, but he wasn't sure what. He gritted his teeth. Anger rushed through his veins. He felt a surge of strength. A lethal mixture of anger and adrenaline. Larr stood to his feet slowly. Two figures now stood in front of him. The Jedi and the man with a metallic hand. Larr gripped his lightsaber as hard as he could. These men. These killers. To him, the Jedi Order wanted nothing more than the death and destruction of everyone and everything. Zed didn't deserve to die, after all. This was their fault. The Jedi and Sith were both no more accountable than the other. With these thoughts in mind and anger in his blood, Larr rushed forward with an empowering strength he had never before felt. He ran faster than he had ever run before. The wind pushed the tears from his face. His momentum built. His anger thickened. He halted a couple yards from the two Jedi and released his blade, frantically swinging it towards them both with enough strength to slice through a bar of Quadranium Steel.

Reese was very interested in what happened to make this man so angry. Openly charging two men who, for all he knew, could both be a member of the association that surrounded them, heavily armed. His lightsaber was blue, no self respecting Sith would be caught with anything but red. Crossing out Sith left either an independent or (Former) Jedi. The man was clearly hysterical, with no real control over his emotions. Reese couldn't think any longer, for the man had reached him.

Reese dropped in directly beside his new Jedi ally and raised his blade to block the incoming blow. He hoped that his new ally would also block it, for a double block would be the only way to stop such a momentous blow. Once he was blocked, Reese took a chance.

"What have you lost!?" Reese demanded from the man, struggling to keep the lightsaber back, "We aren't the ones that caused this! We are not your enemy!"

"What the hell?" Jaycob thought. This angry man came out of nowhere and started to attack people who were trying to help these civilians escape. And to think, he was just about to leave. The man who attacked the Jedi could only be thought of as an enemy but Jaycob knew there was something more to this random attack. The fighting in the streets were one problem, but this was certaintly a bigger one.

At that moment, Jaycob had to make a choice: leave with the group of survivors aboard his ship or find out what this person had in mind. Jaycob's curiosity took the better of him. He holstered his Harlaw Heavy Carbine and ran toward the engaged combatant, tackling him to the ground.
"Quick! Grab my restraints!" He yelled to the Jedi. @Captain Canuck

"Come on, Get to safety, all of you!" Hezron Vyrantus shouted as he helped to shepard the people to as much of safety as one could expect with this type of invasion occuring. In his grasp was his lightsaber pike, which he used as a staff and motioned with his free hand for others to escape. He stood with stark white skin and white hair, looking with blue eyes at the destruction beyond that framed the cityscape as he worked to keep himself centered.

'Don't think about it now. You need to move forward. Save those you can, morn those you cannot.'

The mantra repeated in his mind as he saw some pieces of the building above him come crumbling down, looking up to see a looming chunk heading down. He threw up his hands, catching the debris wih the force and slowing it, making it stop inches above the heads of the fleeing civilians, who stopped and braced for an impact and demise. The grey knight tossed aside the stones as he gritted his teeth, "GO!!" he shouted, compelling them to continue to move as he worked to keep them safe.

'Save those you can, morn those you cannot. Keep moving forward, never stop moving.'

Larr pressed his lightsaber with more force than he had ever before, His veins still pulsing with anger. "What have you lost?" The question took Larr by surprise. The very man he was trying to kill was speaking to him. The words echoed in Larr's mind. "What have you lost?" He felt his strength dwindle. His burst of strength left him. His vision became blurry as his eyes were flooded with tears. Zed. He had lost Zed. His chest became heavier than ever. His face became filled with confusion and sadness. Before Larr could reply, however, he was thrown to the ground with a sudden push. "Quick! Grab my restraints!" Larr didn't fight it. He simply laid there, with no intent of moving.
