Corrupt Czerka

[Caine]

Braden stood at the base of the loading ramp of The Hawk, looking out at the small compound before him he watched The Order move backwards and forwards. It was still an infant in the wider galaxy, but he knew it would soon grow and would walk from the shadows. Turning back to his ship Braden made his way up the ramp and through the corridors before he was standing before the holo-terminal. He inputted codes to The Order members who were on their way to Tattooine, the news of the corrupt Czerka Director filled Braden with anger but when he learned the truth Braden knew he and The Order had to act. The lights on the dash began to flash acknowledging that a connection had been made.
"Order members, as you all know we have received distressing news from the Czerka Arms base on Tattooine. However this is not your main objective. We have also received news that this base is currently storing four DF.9 turrets which The Order is in need of. If you can help the Czerka Director you have permission to, but do not put The Order at risk. Good luck and let the force guide you."

Chaz received the message and sat up from his quarter's main desk. This mission to Tatooine was what seemed like a simple one and if done well could profit The Order greatly. As he began to leave the room he picked up his gauntlets and saber and strolled through the halls of The Order's base towards the docking bays.

Along the way he openes his comm link and opened a channel with his partner for this mission, Dante.

"Hey there. Getting ready to head for Tatooine. Braden wants us there before the first sunrise so we should get movin' along if were going to make it on time."

Whilst waiting for Dante to respond Chaz found his way to his old rustbucket of a ship and sat down behind the control panel so he could begin to enter Tatooine's coordinates.

Stretching as he stood in the cockpit of his ship Dante moved over to the comm panel typing in a quick message before slinging his rifle across his chest and tapping the send button then jumped over the side of the cockpit landing on the sand and watching as the ship lifted off again gliding off across the sand in search of a hiding place controlled by his astromech as jhe wondered idly how upset his partner would be with him when the message arrived.

" Left early, send a message when you arrive and the droid will relay it to me I'm gonna take a look around and get a feel for the land before you arrive and see if I can't find a way to get us the guns without murdering an innocent man into the bargain. " Well at least I was polite, nothing to do about it now anyway. If he doesn't like it then he'll just have to deal with it. Dante thought idly to himself as he moved into the desert towards the clients home.

Chaz looked down at the message with a look of bewilderment. "Guess he really did leave early. Well, i suppose ill just start heading on my way seeing as hes now waiting on me." Chaz said to himself with mild amusement.

After typing a quick message explaining his expected arrival time (roughly ten hours), Chaz started up his ships engines and left the bay in a hurry. Not a minute later he was revving up his hyperdrive as he flew through open space towards Tatooine's hot desert surface.

Upon arriving on the planet he quickly sent another message to Dante. "Ive arrived at around the same area you did. Heading in your direction now."

With that he left his ship in a very inconspicuous area and began his trek across the desert.

" Sure, family first? Shouldn't be too hard to get them out before we go deal with the guy who hired us. " Dante said a few moments later his astromech connecting him once the message had been redirected,as he sat covered in sand to avoid detection as he studied the clients villa watching the security droids patrolling around the outside of the villa. " Security doesn't look too tight but I don't know how many more might be inside. " Took long enough, not military though so I guess allowances have to be made.

"Yes. If we can get the innocent out first i beleive that is our best option to start" Chaz said into the comm link. The recption was bad this deep into a barren desert, but it held together well enough. "Im a little bit away from you. Id say about an hour on this planet. However, i fear the base may be troubling some how. They may have been able to hide resources from us. Be very careful Dante.

Chaz began to walk faster, close to a run, in the direction of Dante, just incase something went wrong. Tatooine is a odd place, anything could happen.

" Worry not, I'm well concealed and my armor is resistant to sensors. They shall not find me and I can reach out and kill them any time I wish. His security appears to be almost entirely composed of security droids which provides a distinct advantage for me, I've noted half a dozen slaves working around his compound and more may potentially have simply not come outside. Alert me when your close and I'll meet you so we can begin. " Dante said lifting his rifle to scan the compound again as it connected with his armors tactical systems to tally the number of visible security droids against those of the past several hours.

After some time Chaz eventually began to draw closer to Dante, and again activated the comm link.
"Im a mile or so away. I can see the compound pretty clearly. If you want to begin making your move into the compound i should be there shortly."

Chaz continued running towards the compound as quickly as possible all while hoping guards wouldnt notice him and sound the alarm.

Sitting still covered in sand Dante pulled the rifle from his back sending sand cascading off him as he quickly slid a suppressor onto the tip and bolted a scope on top of it. " I'm ready, I'll clear us a way inside. " Dante said calmly raising his rifle to rest the stock against his shoulder as he studied the pair of droids guarding the gate into the compound taking slow breaths to synchronize himself with the droids movements the barrel of the rifle slowly drifting from left to right tracking his first target.

Dante sat this way for several moments vaguely aware of a familiar presence slowly coming closer to him until his instincts told him it was time, squeezing the trigger once then twice the rifle barrel swung to the left in the split second between shots a pair of muffled cracks echoing across the desert as both droids were smashed into the compounds wall sparks erupting from the holes in the droids chests the heavy slugs having smashed straight through the power sources hidden within destroying them.

Getting to his feet Dante stretched his legs for a moment then slowly ran down the sand dune half sliding along the way before picking up speed as he closed in on the gate raising one foot as he reached it his armors servos whirring as he delivered a super powered kick to the barred gates wincing slightly as he felt the bones in his leg bending before the gate groaned then collapsed as the sandstone walls it was bolted into crumbled away under the force of the blow leaving the bolts unsecured.

Rolling forward to absorb the momentum of his run Dante came up on one knee with his rifle resting against his shoulder again firing several bursts to crumple a pair of droids coming around the side of the house at the sound of the collapsing gate in smoking heaps as the heavy slugs smashed through them. " The gate is down, I'm moving inside. " He said getting to his feet as he slowly spun in a circle to ensure nothing was sneaking up on him.

Within 50 feet of the compound Chaz began to embrace the force as it flowed through him. His strides grew and with one leap he cleared the wall opposite Dante.

Upon landing, Chaz activated his saber and blocked incoming bolts from three droids to his right. He began to slowly walk towards the droids, continually blocking there relatively slow bolts, and once within range pushed out with the force toppling the droids. He then dispatched of them quickly while they struggled to find footing in the sand.

"Seems we've handled the outside. Lets see whats going on deeper in. Maybe we can even find those cannons Braden warned us about." Chaz said, deactivating his saber.

 

[Caine]

" Not the most discrete of entrances but I suppose it will work. " Dante said stopping to pick up the rifles from the destroyed droids hands to hang from his belt and slipping spare charge packs into an empty pouch mounted to his chest plate. " How many people do you feel inside? We know there should be a woman and 2 kids and I've seen 6 slaves is that all or are there more? "

He asked as he walked around the side of the building stopping again to strip the droids Chaz had destroyed and add there weaponry to the collection already hanging from his belt. " I'm assuming you can't sense droids? My instructor told me that he couldn't but he's Matukai trained not Jedi. "

"Thats all there are, atleast that I can tell. I have no idea on droids. Could be a million, could be none. Wanna find out?" Chaz said with a smirk. He walked towards Dante in the middle of the walled off courtyard and stood, catching his breathe from thw suddenness of his attack.

"Yanno, I didnt know i was going to jump the wall until I landed on the other side. Guess the heat of the moment go to me. Ill try to be more subtle next time."

 

[Caine]

" Sure, let's get to work I've been in this armor for an entire day, you can't imagine how uncomfortable it is to live in this thing. " Dante said walking around the corner and coming to a halt next to a padlocked metal door leading into the basement where he stamped down snapping the lock off and yanked it open jumping in as his hud brought the thermal optics online.

" Looks clear, do we go for the stealth or speed? We don't know a lot about the security in here so I'd go for speed and hope the security isn't too heavy. " He added as he moved slowly through the room heading towards the staircase up into the building. " We should try to get the slaves out as well I have weapons for them so they can help us. "
