Calling a meeting for the members of the ISC's highest level of government was surprisingly easy - because most of the people he had asked to attend wanted to have the meeting just as much as he did if not more so. President Thorne was happy to come along as well according to his aide but that was expect because the man never shied away from any kind of hardship.

How hard this grilling was depended on his answers of course.

Carrick himself did not want to die on the hill that was the damned bill that Starros had managed to get through in the Galactic Senate but he wanted to know why the President of the ISC had, seemingly, ignored the wishes of every other member of the ISC to cast his tie-breaking vote against the general consensus of the members present.

The liklihood of the reasons being terrible enough to require the ISC 'do a New Republic' and throw a fit about their leader and replace him was incredibly low but they needed to know. Some of the other members of the ISC might be more fired up than he was himself but, ultimately, he was able to largely ignore the implications of any of the Galactic Senate's bills by focusing on the military.

They were technically at war after all.

Just needed to make sure their house was in order at home first...

She'd gone from the senate session directly to to her ship. From there, to the ISC world where a collection of governors were meeting to have a conversation with their illustrious president. Jade wasn't all that familiar with President Thorne aside from brief conferences, holonet addresses, and senate sessions. However, she also wasn't stupid. A man didn't do everything Emryc did without some kind of logic behind it.

Still. His decision was unpopular amongst enough politicians to be a problem. Whether corporations and trade guilds were selling to the Sith knowingly, unknowingly, or even had nothing to do with the Empire at all, there was a sense of nervousness about anything other than selling directly to a consumer. People didn't want to risk the heavy fines and bad press if it was so much as implied they sold to the Sith.

Naturally, the powers that be on Llanic had been figuring out work arounds since the sanctions had even been brought up on live holonet. While they didn't sell to Sith so far as they knew, they also didn't like being told what to do with their goods. Thus 'Shadowport'. Based on media reports and market analysts the Core was suffering the most, which was hilarious, but even so.

Governor Archer stepped into the meeting room, nodded at Carrick, and found a seat. Her datapad clacked atop the table. She looked more coolly annoyed than angry, but who knew with Jade?
