The "Galactic Evolution"
>> Training room 5 - Lightsaber Practice
>> Reserved for: Taruna Eskarian
>> 09:5 Board time
>> Security Protocols: Active (No Death Thread)

It was about time. More exactly five minutes before the training was supposed to start when a blue Chiss, clad in her standard training dress, thus sporting a black armorweave Sarashi, a very flexible black transpariflex trousers and nothing else beside her utility belt and the two lightsabers entered the training room.

She was actually glad that her offer for some core training have been heard and she was actually looking forward to it. She aimed for that a while now, but her master never had the time to show her even the basics of all that. Taruna hoped that the combination of Suresu with two Lightsabers as well as the addition of the way more aggressive Mimban would help her survive the upcoming battles. But she had to be able to utilize a second sword first.

If she would find anyone, she would greet him. If she would be there first, she would start warm-up right away.

Sil had just spent the last three hours pacing across the hard steel floor in the room, the sound of hid steps creating a slight echo in the room. He had just spent the last four hour pacing in this room waiting for Knight Taruna to arrive. He knew that he should relax but his nerves had the best of him.

He was training with a Jedi knight for crying out loud ! A Jedi Knight !

He had learnt most from other padawans but now a knight. "It's going to be fine, as dad always said don't worry about nerves just give you best then give a bit more. Once you do that all will be well."

It was just he was so excited, when he got to the offer to learn a bit from her that he almost left his ligthsabers behind. He had a foot out the door before he remember that he need them. Sil was just hoping that he didn't mess up this chance. Making a final check to make sure that he had both of his sabers tucked into belt of his robe. He didn't have any real amour so he was wearing his standard padawan robes.

Oh, there already was someone inside the training room. In this case, she wet with plan A and made a beeline to the young man, intending to introduce herself, warm up would be done later. While approaching him she tried her best not to look too measuring, as the outside would not really always reflect the actual abilities. But still, it could give a pretty good first impression.

"Hey there. I'm Taruna. You're the padawan in need of some basic training, right? Good to have you here, we will get you in shape in no time." she extended a hand in greeting and would listen to his answer, a friendly smile on her lips.

Sil was already nervous to meet the knight. He had never really meet a Knight for training and his first one just had to be wearing amour. Nothing good ever came when someone was wearing amour. Last time he did any train where someone was wearing amour they broke all of his fingers on his left hand. That amour and the fact that she was giving his a very long and intense stare did not fill him with confidence. There was a quote from one of his datacards that seemed to fit "The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear." It's time to be a brave man hear, she just a knight.

Stretching his hand to shake her in a firm but wary grip." Yes Sir that me, I mean Ms., I mean knight.. yea I'm going to stick with Knight."

An amused smile was found over the blue lady's face as she shook the hand and then took it back when he was done.

"How about Taruna? I'm not your superior, or someone you need to address formerly."

She then looked around in the training room and already planned some basic lessons. But before that..

Her red eyes returned quickly to the man in front of her "So.. to train you in the basic abilities, I need to know what abilities you do have and how far you've developed. Would you give me a small rundown on what you learned so far? Think of all things you can do that you either needed to train or others found strange on you"

"Ahh yes .. Taruna" he was calling a Knight by her first name, that would take some getting used to.

Counting off on his fingers as he starts to list what he has learnt so far. " Well I do know a bit of force heal, enough to treat cuts and broken bones. I am pretty good at force speed, jump and sense not at your level but I can to a bit. Lastly I do know how to use Telekinesis and force stealth but I have no real idea on how to use Force empathy or Telepathy."

Giving her a sheepish smile "I know I'm not the best but that's why I want to learn, to get better."

"That's excellent. You may not realize it, but you know a lot already. Do not force you to get too much at once, but strive to master the things you have now to a degree that it will help you survive out there." she smiled encouraging and nodded after having come to a decision and began stretching her legs "I think it's the best we do my usual basic training together and I will see if I am able to increase on your skills you have right now. Let's start by running ten rounds around the hall.. Supported by the speed the Force gives you, okay?"

She then waited for the Padawan to start and would attempt to at least match his speed.

"That's not a problem, I'll give it my best shot."

Stretching his legs as he walked over to the starting mark on the track. Oval track little over 500 meter steel flooring, a nice running surface not as nice as some hard ground though. Starting the run at a steady jogging pace around four miles an hour for the first lap. Taking it slow to get a feel of the track. Speeding up slowly so that by the four lap he was at he was sprinting around the track. Raising his voice a little to make sure that Knight Taruna could hear him.

"Ok let's see how fast we can go ." Opening himself to the force, feeling it move through him allowing it to push him forward.

Time flew slower in the perception of the two Jedi as they raced in an insane speed around the hall. It was not bad for a beginner, but it was obvious that he still lacked the complete understanding of what he was doing there. He used it instantly, way less controlled. Wich was not bad at all, so he had plenty of opportunities to improve there. To prove her point, she used the last lap to speed up hersef to her maximum, opening hesef to the force completely and let the force flow freely trough her. The effect was that she zoomed off and waited for him at the end of the lab, looking at him with quite an approving look. "Good, you already know the basics. We can improve there easily."

Sil know she was better than him but this much better was a humbling experience. It reinforce the difference of levels between a knight and a padawan, he knew that he had started before her but she blew past him in a matter of second. Coming to to a stop in from of her breathing a bit heaver to get in some more oxygen. She defiantly had more control of the force than he did. She said that he there was room to improve his skill, if he would get a fraction of the ability she had he would be happy. A smile working it way on to his face at the though of getting better. " Thank you Taruna."Calling her by her first name still felt weird to him put he would just get use to it.

"Please, thank me when I managed to actually teach you something useful" she answered, offering him one of the still unopened bottles of water "Tell me, how did you train your abilities? Were you self-training or did you have someone training you?"

It was important to know how he trained so far, otherwise the way she intended to teach could prove contra-productive.

" I was self trained not a lot of master go to Glee, seeing as my planet's deep in the empire circle of control. My parents wanted me to learn how to defend myself and when we found out I was able to use the force. My dad dug out two sabers that he was able to keep safe. He had old recording ,lessons, stance on the Ventress style apparently it was his favorite. So he tried to save as much data from the archives as he could when the order fell "

He was not ashamed that he didn't have a master or learnt in a temple. It was the self training that made him the man he was today.

"I see," the Chiss answered, her face showing no signs of pity or sadness, but was accordingly serious and respectful "I am glad to see that the force guided you up to this point aboard this ship, so we both can do our best to prevent stories like yours in the future. I am quite curious to hear more, but today is not a day to talk but to train. Can you explain to me how you initiate your raised speed? Do you have triggers? Something you concentrate on to get this activated?"

"I guess , no you can defiantly say that I have a trigger." Think back to the first time he was able to move at that speed. His smile worming its way back into his face "It's not really that complex or that interesting really. To tell you the truth it's a bit embarrassing because I don't really think of a person but more of an idea. I move as fast as my body can thank me then when I need to move faster I think of an idea my old man uses to say. That in times of war it we should try and save everyone we can and it's that thought that help me move. The faster I move the more, people I can help and the less people have to suffer."

(occ: sorry it took so long to reply computer was down.)

"So it's the will to protect." the Knight responded with a smile. "It's all in all not the worst of all. Not by a far shot. But one hard to evolve to something stronger. I think..." she pondered a second "Using the force is more than just one thing. Think it this way. You're actually intending to move faster. What this means? You want to have more steps per seconds. Did you ever consider to stretch the seconds? So you have more time to do your many steps? And the next step would be not only to have more time per second but also more steps. That's what made me that much faster. This.. and rigorous training of course."

"To stretch the seconds? That almost seems impossible but if you said that it can be done that I'm inclined to believe you. I mean what kind of student would I be if I couldn't trust my teacher." Rubbing his eyes a bit trying to understand why Knight Taruna "Right so I have evolve the thought that drives me into a powerful feeling, that would allow me to stretch my seconds. Which would then give me more steps pre seconds."

Dragging his hand down his face giving a small sigh. "And I though learn how give proper stitches was hard. Ok so I'm just going to let you pound that idea in to my head while the rigorous training is underway. Well at least the theory behind it I can deal with the workout So how do start ?"

"The Force is able to do a lot more then you can imagine, and usually it's us that simply do not grasp all we can do with it's help. That's what the training is for. To widen our sight and discover the potentials hidden within us. Just do not expect that a simple tip will give you immediate results, the realization of what you can do will have to com all by itself." she smiled and once again looked around "Let's see your telekinesis in action. Can you fetch me the bottle there?" she inquired.

Reaching out he could feel the bottle, his grip on the surface. That didn't mean that he could bring it here, telekinesis was not his most practiced skills. Sure, he could heal a broken arm or run a mile in four minutes but move things. Well that was about to be seen. However, he just couldn't try what kind of Jedi would he be if he did that. Calming his mind and pushing these thoughts to the back of his head, Sil close his grip on the bottle.

"Just so you know I might suck at this particular skill." He was saying it to improve his spirits move than anything. Taruna was an extremely skilled teacher, it was much better that it was back on Glee, where he spend most of his time training. His dad commenting and he learnt from there.

Gently lifting it off the ground and pulling it towards him. He was able to bring the bottle half towards him before his hand started to shake. Not much, but a gentle shaking. The bottle was still moving but slower now. It was pulling more force the closer he was able to bring it. By the time it was a two feet away his hand was shaking heavily.

If he expected her to interrupt her, he would be sadly mistaken. In the Knights' opinion, it was not important that you could do something, it was important that you could finish what you started. Which did not mean she was heartless. If he dropped the bottle, she would smile at him encouraging and would patiently wait for him to finish what he started. Then, with the bottle in hand, she nodded satisfied. "Very well done. I see that your attunement with the force is okay, but you lack the concentration and self-control to keep the so called flow steady. That's what made it harder to maintain the floating at the end. We can work on that quite well, and it's something everyone needs to master if he wants to achieve anything when it comes to the more challenging skills." as usual, there was no hint of lecture in her voice, not a clear understanding if she approved or not, it was like she spoke to a equal Knight, doing small talk about things both already knew. "The trick is to never stop something you successfully begun unless there's a really good reason to do so."

She was right as expected if anything her words just confirmed his line of thinking. Sil was lacking in concentration, his old man used to say the same thing when they played holochess. He would try too hard to look at the entire board and not pay enough attention to the pieces. As a result leaving him open to defeat. Thinking back a few second he wasn't even focusing solely on the task at hand. The thought of failing, that telekinesis was not his best skill even the thought of disappointing a new teacher had popped up in his head.

" So a man, well in this case a Jedi is only defected when they give up then. Or maybe that as long as the spirit is willing to continue who can stop it . " Well, if anything could be said for the Knight Taruna she knew her material. She was able to identify my problem in a matter of seconds and inform me how to correct it. "Well, that and practice. I assume"
