Location: Kashyyyk
Time: Mid-afternoon
Participants: @Burkhart Kelborn (@Darasuum ), @Reyna Solus (@Logan
Theme: Howlin For You ♣ Black Keys

The city was beneath the XS-100 light freighter. It was being piloted by one of Burkhart's clan mates along with his own pilot droid while he sat atop his basilisk war droid, readying himself to drop into the city below. He wondered if Reyna wanted to join him on his war droid since it could fit two people for the drop. Of course if she had either jet boots or a jet pack she would be fine on her own. He just prayed she was not planning on using a parachute to drop.

She could also take a swoop bike if she wanted to. But nobody expected a single ship to drop the equivelant of an autonomous tank with enough fire power to level a coruscanti city block. It helped that Trandoshans were not that smart either. They had gone uncontested in the city for awhile now but Burkhart was here. He made sure his beviin light repeater was strapped to the front of his droid, craddled between the steering yoke. Straps held him in place to make sure he could not fall off if he wanted to though he had a quick release harness that just required a slap from him, out of sight and at his controls. Dismounting would be an easy feat for him if need be though it prevented undesired removal if any space magician decided to throw him off with their wiggly fingers.

Whether Reyna had decided to join the back of his droid or not he would have the cargo bay doors open. "Let's show these reptallian bastards wot a gud tyme iz!" He said in his heavy accent before letting out a howl that pierced the wipping winds at this altitude. A few clinking steps and the war droid began to plummet towards its target. Don't need stealth if there's nobody alive ta call for reinforcements He thought to himself with a toothy grin on his face.

The wheels of Mandalorian Justice seemed to be ever turning. The galaxy was a tree with fruit in full bloom and the Mandalorians were eager to get their hands on any and all of it as rapidly as they were allowed. Granted, they could at least put on the guise of hero in this endeavor on Kashyyyk.

Liberating the Wookiee population from the Trandoshan menace once and for all would be outwardly admirable, but anyone with a brain would know that it would be a partnership of convenience at best. The Mandalorians were looking for territory, something to own and call theirs - any theatrics on heroism were simply a matter of PR convenience.

Deciding to opt out of riding Burk's massive war droid into the battlefield, Reyna stood by and watched her partner and his metal pet clink their way off the moving ship and drop straight down. Whatever and whoever was below would likely shit their pants whenever the two touched down, a fact that made Reyna smile beneath her t-visor. Approaching the edge herself, Reyna gave one last look around - careful not to actually look down before stepping off the ship and plummeting towards the ground below.

Reyna's jetpack would kick in shortly, navigating her safely to a single story rooftop. Burk would have landed somewhere on the ground in front of her, Reyna deciding to give him supporting fire from higher ground for now. Gripping her shriek hawk, Reyna looked down the barrel at the ground below - ready to blow the face off of anything that wasn't Burk and his robot dog.

Hurtling to the ground Burkhart activated his bulwark gauntlet shield early. It would do well to provided additional protection from anybody. But nobody had their eyes on the sky. He saw nearly a dozen Trandoshans clustered together around a firepit. He would have his mount reduce its speed just enough to not cause damage but still had enough to pulverize three separate reptilian guards.

Once the rending claws of the war machine wet their edges the rider would open fire with his light repeater, hosing the area with a dozen bolts of blaster fire. He roared behind his helmet. He never much cared for Trandoshans. Not because of anything specific about their species. He just disliked thee whole slavery aspect and contradictory hunting culture they often displayed when in groups. All in all, he would lose no sleep laying waste to the scaly presence in the kashyyyk city.

Twin laser cannons fired from the war droid in time with the Alor's fire. He turned to his left to see that Reyna had a clear area to land and not get shot by any Trandoshans immediatly. The cries of surprise and attempts at trying to rally at the surprise attack by the armored warriors. The trandoshans had become complacent indeed.

From her rooftop vantage point Reyna couldn't help but relish in the chaos and carnage that Burk and his basilisk were wreaking below. If there was a single thing that could sum up what it meant to be a Mandalorian, it was that war droid tearing through unsuspecting victims as if they were made of paper and their souls were weak and useless.

Aiming down the barrel of her blaster, Reyna sighted into some of the Trandoshans that were attempting to take an elevated position. She fired off two quick bolts at two seperate lizards, catching them both in the face and sending them toppling from the rooftops onto the ground below. Unfortunately for Reyna, the rooftop she was currently on was also about to be swarming with ugly lizard men.

Hearing the a door burst open, Reyna whipped around to find three Trandoshan mercs. Each of them had a blaster slung on their back and were wielding jagged, ugly looking vibroblades. Dropping her blaster for now, Reyna drew her own beskad and took a few steps towards the Trandoshans - montioning for them to bring their worst as she stared at them silently from under her helmet.

Flora Burns was about to raid Kashyyk, she was pirate and need cash for new weapons and a new ship. She had heard the trandoshan had been stockpiling stuff, for an offensive. Now where there's a stockpile there is loot, and loot is what she is interested in. Her Nexus Class freighter needed one more crew member, to be fully crewed.

She had descended on to the location of there base camp, her crew was in the battle stations. As pirates are not nice, and no doubt they will attract some flak. She did not know about the Mandalorians on the surface, to her this was just another act of piracy. As such she was already preparing the hyperdrive, to get out of dodge if thing went south for her.

They had barely begun to react it would seem. They were not in the best position to deal with a highly equipped and well trained enemy that had already infiltrated the city's streets. The reptilian occupiers fired blaster side arms towards him but they pinged harmlessly off of the armored skin of the war droid. Such actions just told Burkhart where the next targets were.

Walking in lumbering steps he moved forward through the street. While his war droid continued to fire on the enemies up ahead he looked towards Reyna, speaking in Mando'a <"Take out their communications relay."> He did not want the trandoshans to call back in any patrols or coordinate counter attacks. Disrupt, divide, and demoralize were the key points of taking down an enemy when one was fighting a larger enemy. Disabling their ability speak to one another would go a long way. Plus any inbound and outbound communications would be cut short abruptly. The Solus woman was in a decent position to complete it since she was on the roofs after all. He knew she was more than capable of handling a simple task on her own.

Her egotistical goading had done the job Reyna intended, pissing off the Trandoshans in front of her - causing them to make some rather poor decisions right out of the gate. One of the lizardmen, figuring he was big and strong enough to simply take Reyna on his own, stepped forward and motioned for the other two to simply wait. Must have been a higher rank than them or something, Reyna unsure of just exactly how Trandoshan hierarchy worked. Maybe it went to the one that had the ugliest scales and smelled the worst?

The Trandoshan charged towards Reyna, swinging his blade violently towards up and down in a chopping motion towards her shoulder. Lifting up her arm, Reyna caught the blade with her own, though she did admit the Trando was stronger than she would have given him credit for. No matter, she wasn't going to need to hold it for long. Pushing the Trando's blade back towards him to open up his guard, Reyna punched the lizard on the inside of his knee. Normally, such a move would be relatively pointless - but Reyna had a pneumatic fist, making her punches the equivalent of a bantha sitting on your face. The trando's knee blew out, causing him to topple, and Reyna simply brought her beskad down and stabbed him through the throat.

The entire exchange took but mere seconds so to the other two Trandoshans it must have seemed like the tiny mandalorian warrior was some kind of mega strong superhero. Just as she was going to give them the same fate as their friend, Reyna heard Burk's message come across the comm. Shrugging her shoulders, she gave her lucky friends a sarcastic wave and activated her jetpack as she stepped off the side of the building.

Rocketing towards the communication array, Reyna took out a frag grenade and tossed it towards the structure. She then aimed her wrist rocket at the array and fired it off too. The combined explosions should have been enough to cripple the tech, but Reyna would land on another rooftop adjacent to the structure to keep an eye on it for now.

"Array should be down," she said back to him. "Let me know if it seems otherwise."

Flora saw the Mandalorians attacking her target, this meant she make a choice. Does she help them raid her target, or attack them and help fellow criminals? She turned her crew and asked them, and asked them Hey guys, what should we do. The Trandsoians are getting trashed by Mandalorians, I know we where we are to hurt them, but you know they are like one of our own. She waited for the crew to answer, Boris her co-pilot answered first, Hell Mandos smell bad, I don't fancy drinking with them afterward. He did not like them after he had run ins with them on Nar Shada. Then Francis said So what, we came here for them Trandosians, I want a new leather jacket. He made a good argument, she did want a leather handbag. Ferret came on next, So what, those mando dogs walk around Nar Shada like they own the place, okay they do like, but I don't like paying them da taxes. He did have point tax returns where annoying under the Mandos, and this would be a chance to get back at them. Then last but not least Davro spoke up, Actually I rather take out the Transdoisans, after all, it was why we are here. He was right, but it was two votes per side, she got her lucky coin, and tossed it in the air. As it spun in the air, she said Heads we fight Mandalorians, and tails we take it to the Trandosians. The coin landed, she saw it had landed on heads. Okay, boys, the coin says Mandalorians. She then contacted the Trandosians, Hey guys see you have some beskar bad boy issues, fancy a hand for a cut of the spoils. A scared voice replied, Yeah help us they're toasting us alive down here. Then their comms went dead, just static.

She turned on her scanner, looked at the battle scape, the first thing she did to do was take down that war machine being ridden by @Burkhart Kelborn. She moved towards it at attack speed, as she closed in. She wished she had a bigger ship like one those Acrianian Cutters, as that would make short work of this. She skimmed around to let the Dorsal laser cannon get a shot at it, before turning to let the ventral laser cannon fire at him.

While this was going on, the ship hyperdrive was still being prepared to escape. As pirates lived a dangerous lived, and they like to have the means to turn tail and run.

The latent blood lust in his veins had risen to the surface. Every creature had the desire for power. In his own way, the ability to utterly destroy and eviscerate his enemies was an enjoyable affair. The Morling had pondered such desires over an open fire numerous times. Sometimes with drink in hand, others painstakingly sober. Whatever his state, he always came to the same conclusion. The strong survive and the weak perish regardless of ideals.

The reptilian corpses around him, maws open in their silent death screams. His canine gaze look through the smoke of their smoldering corpses up to the sky. That was where the only movement lay aside from the actions his partner had made. Deep in his chest he growled at the sight of an approaching foreign object. There was no way the Trandoshans had scrambled ships this quickly. Not with the way they had assaulted the city thus far.

There were no other ships aside from his own in the air space as far as he knew and it was certainly not friendly as it banked to come towards him. Perhaps it was just another Trandoshan ship. It it was then so be it. His war droid fired a barrage of twin light laser cannons and two rockets into the air on its vector while moving sideways into an alley. <"Skyward boogie, Head's Up!"> He shouted the moment after Reyna had sent her communicae.

Just a moment after he opened fire the pirate ship would do so as well. But the hgurried sideways movement of the droid would move it out of the way of the otherwise powerful shots of the ship. The ground would spout clouds of dirt and dust from the laser cannon fire and rise to cover a few dozen meters in the next few moments, obscuring any ground movement from the aerial point of view.

Soon the Field Marshal would be in full cove. The approach vector of the large, relatively clumsy ship was otherwise obvious for such an experienced spacer. Did they think he would simply succumb to a half arsed strafing run? <"Send a relay to any mates we have nearby!"> He shouted to Reyna. His own ship that they had recently departed from would be able to transmit the message to friendlies in the area. Kashyyyk was a much desired planet and he would not see the Wookiees taken over by some simple opportunist.

The sudden appearance of air support came as somewhat of a surprise to Reyna. She didn't figure the local Trandoshan occupation to have such forethought when setting up instillations to repel invaders. Taking little time to relay Burk's message, Reyna ducked out of sight of any ground troops and flipped on her comms.

"Could use some help down here," She said, keeping her eyes trained up for now on the ship. "Looks like just one but they brought in some air support. Might be too much for me and the dog riding dog to handle."

Turning her attention back to the battlefield, Reyna could see some lizards setting up on an adjacent rooftop, probably looking to take advantage of the situation and flank Burk with blaster fire. Reloading her wrist rocket, Reyna fired it across the way straight towards them. It would take a few seconds for it to reach, so for now she ducked back into a proper cover position and waited to see how things played out.

Having helped Naala deal with the Trandoshan chieftain, Dax had left her with his name doppelgänger, the Watch Captain being more than enough to make sure the newly crowned queen was safe till more Wookiee soldiers rushed in to support her. But knowing that they would need to clear the airspace to make sure dropships and troop transports could fly in, he had jumped back into the Womp Rat. The truth of the matter was, he had not had an opportunity to actually use the ship since he had thrown almost all his savings into souping her up, and was itching to see what she could do.

He had hoped that some of the slavers might have taken to the air to try and fight the mandalorian assault force, so had been looking forward to blasting some lizards when a priority signal sprang to life on his comms. The ship was also now fully staffed by the few Vizsla who had started following him recently, and the one manning the communications station chimed in almost instantly. "Call for aerial support, its being relayed through field marshal Burkhart's ship, they're being harried by an unknown bogey!"

Well, if not lizards then this would do. Seeing as they were both carrying out missions in the Capital City, they were actually really close to where Dax and the Womp Rat were, so response would be about as rapid as it came. "Everyone to battle stations, we're going in." He shouted out the order as his co-pilot punched in the coordinates where the field marshal's signal had originated and Dax whipped the ship around to shoot towards them. Letting out a whoop as the newly upgraded engines pushed the ships to speeds beyond anything he had known her to manage before, there was a wide grin on his face as poor communications officer worker through the triumphant screaming to let their comrades on the ground know that support was on its way.

He would ultimately cut back on the ship's acceleration as they reached the location, spotting the pice of junk freighter that was flying back and forth to harass their friends on the ground. Opening up a channel to the ship while they were still cutting down distance to it, Dax issued a warning, more to pull the ship's attention away from the ground force than to actually give them any warning.

"Unknown freighter, stand down or you will be shot down. This is your last warning."

The Mandalorians were blunt people, so their warnings were also short and to the point. No point in wasting breath on protocols and procedures, Dax liked getting to the point.

Flora was already taking evasive maneuvers when the two rockets were fired. She managed to avoid them, via breaking her speed. So she was not were the mando was aiming, his laser cannons hit her ship. They struck the sides, and flash of burning inside as they struck. The shields did cope with it, but there was always leakage. Then it happened, another ship on her scanner. The ship was coming in hot and fast. The scanner indicated it was a far superior vessel, it was more than a suped up freighter. She knew she was outclassed and outgunned, there was only one option, run for your lives. The pilot of the other ship gave her warning stand down or die. She was standing down, and make a turn skyward. Her laser cannons were still hot, and though guns were not pointing at the other freighter, the crew were ready to repel an attack if it came. They look for another pay day.

Ready to come back out and shoot up at the ship Burkhart heard Dax's voice over the open broadcast channel. But as he went back out into the open his vision was obscured by the risen clouds of dust. With heavy clanking steps he headed out of the cloud in time to see the pirate ship become nothing more than a spec in the sky. Growling inside his helmet he shrugged off the annoyance.

Back too the task at hand he keyed the communications link to Dax in his ship. "Ya mind helpin us take out the rest of these scaly bastards. That is unless ya got somewhere else ta be."[/gfont] Communications were weakened for the Trandoshans already. A significant number of their forces slain. Others had probably fled. They had more or less already taken a large portion of the city but that is what happens when one's people are known for being super commandos.

Burkhart continued to advance deeper into the city. He would have his Personal Entertainment Attendant from time to time projecting a mandalorian message out loud as a scare tactic. Some of the Trandoshans would surrender and Burkhart would promptly shoot them with stun bolts. Normally he would just kill them outright but the Wookiees needed their own vengeance. They would have their turn to decide the fate of the surrendered forces.
