Esfandia, a world without a Star, strange. Normally it would be just another rock endlessly floating through space, uninteresting and never visited but this one was different. For not only was the planet unique that it could still support an atmosphere, but its location as the last stop before the Unknown Regions made it a bastion of science in the Old Republic. Vast communication and research arrays once orbited the planet, scanning out into the deep darkness of Space looking for something anything. And you see that was a problem, for if these were ever reactivated under the control of someone else, they may find his secret, his ace, his last bastion. So for that reason alone Artorigas Wessex had authorised the take over of Esfandia and its surrounding space, on the surface it was just Avillion expanding, with only a select few knowing of its true purpose.
The battle had been short, sharp and decisive, the roving band of pirates, traders and miners who had refused to bend the knee had formed a little armada of ships. But it was nothing compared to the might of the Star Destroyers Artorigas brought to the playing field, their mighty turbolasers had ripped through the hulls of the larger ships with ease. Though clean up had been more difficult, the small mining barges and pirate frigates to nimble for the Star Destroyers targeting computers, so it was left to the fighter corp to clean up the rabble.
Artorigas stood on the bridge of the capital ship, staring out into the darkness beyond, the light glint of the planet to his right. He had just taken the surrender of the so called 'government' of Esfandia over Holo and was ready to leave. He was just awaiting the occupation force to arrive. "Mi'King, Commander Rastel, has a commendation for a Lieutenant Goslara, would like to do the honors or shall we leave it to the Commander?" "I have time to kill, bring him up and give me a breakdown of his accomplishments."
