Company Secrets - Kiirium Echos, Part I

[Eice Frex]

Eice's ears perked in surprise as Allard reached out to scratch them, lowering them a bit as a mild blush grazed her cheeks. When he withdrew, she seemed to come back to reality, shaking her head.

"R-Right!" She replied. "Y-You two be careful! We'll meet up in a bit."

A few moments later, Eice and Henric were making their way to the far side of the building. It took almost no time for Henric to defeat the cheap, consumer-grade locking system, and Eice slipped in behind him, looking around furtively at the dimly lit hallways; it looked like any backrocket spaceport, really, but Eice knew there might be guards prowling, in spite of the sudden commotion she had heard just as the door had slid closed.

At Henric's comment, Eice closed her eyes, trying to stretch out her mind in the way Jedi in holodramas always seemed to be doing. The effort did not produce any appreciable result; unlike Henric, Eice was not trained in the ways of the Force, either Jedi or Sith, and though she had discovered she had at least some small sensitivity to it, she could not yet exert much conscious influence through it.

"Good idea." Eice agreed with Henric's suggestion. "You keep an eye out, too. I don't know much about these droids, only seen them once or twice back on Corellia; I just know Blackrow is supposed to use them much more freely out here."

The Tintinna un-holstered her little KLR blaster pistol, holding it at the ready as she jogged from corner to corner, waving Henric forward as she cleared each one. The pair were closing in on the landing pit itself, where the starship would be parked.

 

[Allard Keever]

Eice asked them to be careful but... well he and Vilkas weren't really being very careful right now. Sure, they weren't in too much danger themselves but that just meant that they were free to be even less careful than they had been when Allard sent his friend soaring through the air into a group of guards.

He was sure Eice might object but hey - they were keeping the guards busy and they were being a very big distraction.

Tearing into the unprepared guards with his TS 2-Shot, Allard gritted his teeth as he blasted for the throats purposefully, wanting to blast them once each so that they died quickly both for their sake... and for the sake of his ammo counter.

With the level of surprise that they had achieved, Allard ran out of shots in his weapon before he ran out of enemies... which was exactly why he had a carbine on hand as well. He hugged to a wall for cover, shooting around it at the guards who were beginning to try and retreat.

"How you doing Vilkas? You alright?"

[Henric Antilles]

Working together with Eice, it didn't take long for the two of them to reach the hangar of the Blackrow facility. That was where they stopped, as thanks to their caution they were able to see the guard droids waiting around the ship as the other organic employees had been moved elsewhere thanks to the distraction. Spying a mirror on the corner of the hangar, probably used by maintenance techs to make sure no one was coming around a corner before moving something heavy, Henric reached out to the Force to slowly tilt the mirror to get a good view of the entire room, even the other side normally obscured by the freighter that was their objective. There looked to be around five of the droids, two of them on the other side. If he could get to the door, he could get inside and slice the information they needed. He looked down at Eice, having moved the mirror slowly so that the sentries wouldn't notice. "There are five sentry droids surrounding the ship. If I can get inside without being seen, I can slice the information we need. Maybe even put a tracker in their system so that we'll know if other ships come by this planet, in case we might have anyone trying to catch us from behind." He wasn't sure he could pull off the latter, as he wasn't sure of what kind of system they used yet, but if he could, he'd do it.

[Vilkas]

Standing next to opposite wall from Allard, was his Nelvaanian comrade. Vilkas fired shot after shot back toward the guards before drawing back to reload the pistol. Suprise had been achieved now they will have to survive the consequences of this act. Long enough for Henric and Eice to complete their work. When Allard called, asking if he was okay.

“I had worse, trust me. Much better than our foes now.” He replied back then looked out and fired anothe round. “We have certainly earned their attention.” Vilkas added, impressed with the chaos they were making.

[Eice Frex]

Eice nodded to Henric, gripping her blaster and taking in a deep breath before letting it out.

"Understood." She replied. "Alright, one of us will have to distract them... the other will go on board and extract the data from the first terminal we find."

With that, Eice dashed out into the open, wheeled, and blasted one of the S1 infantry droids standing guard. It went down sparking, but from around the hangar, 4 others looked up from their rounds, running toward their fallen comrade while raising their arm-blasters.

"Halt!"

Eice immediately booked it back into cover, moving behind the rows of cargo containers and other items that lined the hangar walls, occasionally popping up to shoot.

 

[Allard Keever]

Allard laughed a little bit as he pulled out one of his grenades, priming it with his thumbprint for three seconds before throwing the grenade after some of the enemies that were trying to duck behind cover. The grenade startled many of them but only managed to actually catch one of the guards. It was fine though considering he was mainly just trying to keep up the chaos and destruction.

They weren't trying to kill everyone - they were trying to continue being an effective distraction.

"Well now that we've earned it, I think we're going to have to do our best to make sure that it stays on us, yeah?" he grinned over at his friend, "Don't suppose you have any grenades too?"

He took aim and hesitated for a second... before firing, clipping one of the guards in the shin. He purposefully wounded the young man, leaving him screaming in agony and trying desperately to have his friends come and save him.

One guard rushed to assist him and Allard put him down with a shot to the face.

The injured guard carried on screaming.

Injuring the enemy was... effective. It took down one man, the injured party, and tied up at least one other man - the medic that tried to help him.

[Henric Antilles]

With the diversion, Henric was able to make his way over to the ship's computers to start slicing in as requested. He downloaded everything he could find as time was of the essence, they could parse through the information later. He DID quickly encrypt some of the data in the computer with a custom algorithm, to slow down Blackrow being able to access it again, and left a couple of other digital traps that would slow down their pursuit. Once he was done he motioned to Eice, when she could see, for them to get out of there. Hopefully their friends outside were fine, though using the Force he could feel that they should be just fine. Their adventure was only just starting, though. He handed the information to Eice in the form of a datacard, willing to let her do the honors.

[Vilkas]

Vilkas reloaded his rifle and continued to lay out suppressing fire keeping, the guards back and their focus squarely on him and Allard. Soon they would receive word from their comrades they achieved their objective. With this confirmation Allard and Vilkas would start to withdraw not before the Wolfman hurled a concussion grenade to blind any would-be pursuers as it ignited. Once in the clear the duo would hide in a secluded spot, letting Henric and Eice know where to find them.

[Eice Frex]

Eice put a pair of blaster bolts into yet another droid as Henric worked, keeping three more pinned down as the human swiftly sliced into the ship's systems. She had dropped a third droid by the time Henric came running back out, slipping her a datacard as he passed. Nodding, she popped off a few more shots at the droids, blasting the hangar door control as she ran and dropping it down between them.

"Good timing!" She called, waving her blaster. "I'm nearly out of charge on this thing!"

As the two ran, Eice fished out her comlink and keyed it on.

"Allard! Vilkas! We've got it! Pull back and let's get out of here!"
