Lyra stopped, surprised to hear the girl's voice behind her. She didn't believe she would have followed her, unless she was working with the guys in the home, now figuring out they were outside the tiny apartment. The redhead was uncertain why she was taking this in as her problem too; she had every opportunity to leave and head in another direction, but she did not. The Dathomirian asked why she was running instead of just killing them all.

The teen shook her head, "They don't want you, they want me, I can't take on all of them on my own." she said seeing one of the men begin to hoist themselves onto the roof. Lyra quickly pulled her blaster, aiming and firing several shots; it was enough for him to release his grip, letting out a yell before it was followed by a crash.

"I don't have those fancy magick moves like you." she explained, unable to comprehend how that was not obvious to the woman. Another goon started to climb up from the front and Lyra started firing again, trying to keep them from ascending to the roof.

Renfry wasn't sure she believed that if they just "found" Renfry in the woman's room they would just let her walk out like nothing had happened. They hadn't even let her walk down the street without issue. Though the comment that it wasn't Renfry's problem certainly struck true.

She paused a moment to consider just flashing on out of here when a blaster shot rang out, tearing over the rooftop, and hitting one of the thugs.

Well, then I'll kill them and we'll call it even, she said. It was better than giving the woman a ride off world, and it was clear that the redhead wasn't interested in keeping them alive. The guy who had just been shot and fell to his death was evidence of that.

Well, I do, she said, her hands already beginning to glow green again as she marched angrily across the rooftop and toward the men climbing.

Another flash of green and lightning was tearing through the men who were coming after them. Screams, cries of pain, and the smell of burning flesh wafted over the rooftop followed by silence apart from the crackling of the lightning that came to a stop several moments later.

She turned around and marched over to the redhead.

There, done, she said, as casually as if she'd just cleaned up a spilled drink.

Lyra raised her blaster, readying for the men to reach the rooftop when Renfry declared they would be even if she killed them all. The teen was taken off-guard, lowering her blaster ready to object to this new contract, but the woman was already on it. The green glow returned to her palms as she struck out against the men who suddenly seemed confused as to what was attacking them. Lightning, screaming and the smell of burning flesh quickly overtook the redhead's senses and her arm relaxed to her side, feeling slightly defeated and useless.

The woman would spin around to see the redhead standing with her mouth agape; she couldn't tell her own feelings if she were impressed or jealous. Possibly both.

"Done?" Lyra snapped out of her daze and shook her head, "Wait, hey, now, I did not know this was a deal..." she paused, her eyes flickering to charred marks on the roof and she sighed, "So, can I still get that lift off-world?" she asked putting away her blaster and shoving her hands in her pockets.

Renfry frowned as the woman seemed unhappy about the fact that the Nightsister had just cleaned up all her problems in one fell swoop. People were so unappreciative.

Well, what do I get out of it? I'm not a taxi service. And where do you want to go? she asked, clearly unhappy about the fact that this woman wanted more out of Renfry. What kind of scam was this? Force someone to take your help when they didn't ask for it and then expect lots of other things in return. Renfry may have been relatively new to the wider galaxy, but this smelled real fishy.

What are you even doing here anyway? Why are they after you? she asked, not entirely sure she cared about the answer. Part of her said she should just walk away now, but there was still the off chance that the woman had something to offer for Renfry's time. Were they going to be pursued by even more armed men on top of everything else?

The woman's reaction told Lyra that she was not interested in helping her any further and Lyra felt her heart sink and expected for the sorceress to leave. She didn't though, and instead asked what she would get from further helping her with a ride off-world. Lyra was uncertain how to answer that question or if she was supposed to answer it; she had noticed along with her peers, some questions were not always meant to be answered and that has gotten her into unneeded trouble...quite frequently.

"I'll go wherever you are going, I just have to keep moving." she told Renfry even though she seemed fairly upset at the idea she was asking for something. To be fair, Lyra thought she did not do much to help the woman, and she didn't ask for the woman's help just moments earlier. The redhead was puzzled, finding this person to be absolutely difficult to interpret. She would not be able to fret on the thought any further when she asked more questions about her purpose on this world and who the men were.

The teen pursed her lips and her brow furrowed while she looked for the best words to describe what had happened. She slid her hands back into the pockets of her jacket, "A simple misunderstanding." Lyra started to explain.

"I forgot I was in the middle of completing this job when I saw you and I did not deliver..." she pulled out a crumbled piece of paper from her pocket and started to unfold the corners, "It looks like coordinates, but with how nice him and his pals have been," Lyra gestured to where they were coming over the roof, "I don't think I want to give it to them." she explained looking down at the note and then back at Renfry for her response.

"You wanna see what it is?" she tried to hide an excited grin, biting her lip, "Pleasesayyes..." she quickly and quietly added.

Renfry was still all kinds of skeptical of this entire situation, but how difficult was it to just take someone along with her? If she was already heading out into the Outer Rim, then surely it wouldn't be that difficult to just let someone hitch along. It wasn't like Renfry couldn't take care of herself if the woman decided she wanted to rob the young Nightsister.

Before she had to give an answer, the redhead started telling her about the job she'd done and apparently seemed very excited to show Renfry... whatever it was she was transporting.

Uh... okay? she said with a frown, waiting to see what it was.

You know if you come with me you're not coming back here? It's a one time trip, she said. She wasn't here to pick up long term passengers. @GABA

Renfry frowned, Lyra was certain she was acting a bit too excited knowing there was a possibility she was going to get to move on to the next world, wherever these coordinates would take them. The redhead stepped closer to the woman and handed her the slip of paper to look at for herself.

"I don't want to come back here." she stated, the thought of having to stay here any longer than needed sapped her of any added energy she just had, "This is not my home, I don't owe anyone here." she explained, "I just need a one time trip, you can take me here," she pointed to the coordinates, "Or wherever you were planning on going next. I don't take up any room, I will even sleep in the cargo hold so you don't have to see me."

Her heart pounded in anticipation for the woman's response, yes or no, Lyra did not care, she wanted an answer so she could if she needed to move to the next town over to find her way off-world. She hated to rely on others, she felt smaller and insignificant compared to the rest of those in the galaxy. At times she wondered how bad it would be if she went back, but she quickly dispelled that idea. Or maybe the woman was hesitant because, "Or do you not have a ship and I have made the wrong assumption?" she asked, frowning at her sudden realization, the lurking embarrassment rising from her chest and started to redden her cheeks.

Renfry was frowning as she looked at the coordinates... again. This was getting to be a theme with her, it seemed. Or maybe she was just uncomfortable with the idea of someone else trying to be... around her. She was too skeptical for that.

Look, I'll take you to where I'm going, but you'll have to get yourself here... she said, lifting the coordinates ...on your own, she said. Giving a ride along where the Nightsister was already going cost her nothing, but going out of her way... well, that was a taxi service.

I'm heading to Eriadu, that good enough for you? she asked, starting to head back to her ship.

And you don't have to sleep in the cargo hold, but the ship doesn't have many amenities, she said. @GABA

Eriadu? Where the Kriff was Eriadu?

Maybe she didn't exactly go anywhere the pilot was heading. Lyra did not say anything, letting the woman speak as she held up the paper with the coordinates informing this location was not an option. She slowly took a step forward toward the woman and plucked the paper from her grasp, not bothering to look at them as she slid it back into her pocket. Her features hardened to hide the disappointment she felt; she wasn't sure where Eriadu was located but if it were any place like this world, it would be just as difficult to get off-world and move on to the next.

She loathed that she had to rely on others to help her and it always came at a cost.

Lyra remained standing in her place, watching, and feeling, still unable to decipher what it was about her that drew her to the Dathomiran, who was already heading back to her ship. Doubts begun to fill her head as she took a step forward, but hesitated, instead withdrew her step. Back one step, then two, leaving Renfry to venture to her ship alone as she fell opposite in their path and disappearing into the maze of dwellings and junk.
