With the combined efforts of many Jedi across the Deep Core, together they had managed to bring together the leaders of many worlds across their shared sector of space in order to discuss something far greater than themselves: an alliance.

Many worlds mean many allies, the chance to support eachother and grow. The very thought of it brought a smile to Vollen's face. While it was not always possible to solve a crisis with words alone, it was truly the Jedi way, and to be here today, aboard the Redemption in the galactic core, with so many worlds here represented, it felt like truly this was something right.

Not that at all meant it would be easy.

Alongside him stood Master Fennex Zeerda, between the two of them they meant to offer these worlds not only an alliance with the Jedi Order, but with eachother. Hopefully they'd have the skill to pull it off,

"Welcome, everyone, to the Redemption" Vollen announced warmly as the last of the representatives was gathered before him,

"It's an honour today to speak with you all. I have the greatest of hopes that the topic of today, the Core League, will be something that all of us will be able to look back on as an important move for all parties, and something that will help all of us in these trying times" his initial remarks concluded, he looked to Master Fennex if there was anything the Amaran wanted to add, but otherwise, the floor was open. Time for debate.

To be totally honest, Fennex wasn't sure this would work, or even that it was a good idea. Councilor Shai did though, and by extension the High Council did, and that was good enough for him. A lot of people had put a lot of work into this effort so far, but it was up to the Councilor and himself to seal the deal. While Fen had never been the best at pure diplomacy, he was well aware that his diminutive furry appearance was often disarming to humanoids. As much as he grumbled about that, it was an advantage he'd learned to put to good use, and he was curious if it would come in handy today. The Order could really use a win right about now...

"Thank you all for coming. I know that navigating the Deep Core is one of the many struggles we all share, so the effort is not unappreciated."

It was all Fen really had to ad for the time being. He'd studied upwhat he could on the leaders they expected here today, but he was still feeling and probing them, trying to get a read of his own before he spoke to much or pushed too hard on any set agenda- some cultures could spend hours exchanging pleasantries before any business started at all, he knew. It was wise for the Jedi to proceed carefully and, besides which, Councilor Shai was the lead here anyway. Fennex would let him fully occupy that role and jump in to help offer advice, expertise, or a quick bail out only when he was particularly needed. A sense of timing- it was something that Fen had learned the hard way years ago, and something that many Jedi seemed to lack...

There were many people within the little meeting that the Jedi had called together but, in the end, there were only really five people who mattered at all. Each of the five main planets yet to join the Core League (Kalist, Ojom, Khomm, Pollillus and Constancia) had sent representatives empowered to make a deal.

A human man from Kalist known as Caleb.

A zeltron female from Constancia named Shrevin.

A besalisk from Ojum, going by the name of Joseph.

A Kommite from, of course, Khomm named Ryant.

And a pair of heads on a Troig called Logant and Alext.

The representative from Kalist looked like he was barely even present, looking out the window and not paying any attention to the proceedings at all. Joseph was sampling three different drinks at once from his different hands while Ryant was playing with a knife in one hand. Logant and Alext were passing a pipe back and forth between the two of them and were, it had to be said, looking very relaxed for such a serious event.

Shrevin looked to be the only one who was ready to push things along and looked, if anything, rather resigned to the whole thing it had to be said. Like she was rather used to being the one to push people forward... odd for a Zeltron but less uncommon than people would think.

"Yeah - we're all here and none of us died from the journey." she waved it off with a hand, crossing her arms as she looked at the two Jedi, appearing remarkably unimpressed, "Alright, you keep mentioning this Core League and we're all intrigued enough to be here but you've got to start talking about what you actually want out of it and what we need to do - otherwise these guys are going to sleep and I'm leaving."

Well then, not a perfect start, but dialogue was open, and that was all he could really hope for today. Better than nothing he supposed. Shaking the mild concern from his mind, he smiled back at Shrevin, and began to walk over to her and the other representatives to try and gather some focus from them,

"And fair enough that would be too. In which case, business then. The idea for this Core League would be to collectively establish both economic and defensive partnerships between the worlds and parties of the Deep Core, yourselves from Constancia opening up to greater trade with the partner worlds here, as well as the Jedi Order, who all in turn will look to eachothers shared defence. It's an alliance, of proximity and practicality. And with the state of the galaxy one in which we could all use more friends" he opened broadly, laying out the benefits the league could grant them all,

"The Order itself would again be part of this defensive pact, while also being able to be more active as emergency responders on your worlds, and act as mediators for any disputes that might arise. We'd be there to help the whole thing run more smoothly" he added, clarifying their role. As the only non-state party to the agreement their role was somewhat different, but Vollen hoped they could act as the glue that kept the worlds together. Perhaps Fennix would have more to add, there were more points to add, but the representatives likely had their own questions. With the basics out of the way he'd be interested to see what they were.
