ILUM: THE SACELLUM OF THE SITH
1100 Hours
@EmilyHuene ; @Doomfingers [/fancybox2]
There comes a time in every Sith that they must decide what the Code means to them. The Code was made when the Sith were first born and separated themselves from the Jedi Order many centuries ago. Peace is a lie, there is only Passion. Through Passion I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory, my chains are broken! The Force shall free me. This was the Code of the Sith that every new learner was brainwashed into learning.
But what does these words mean? Scholars might tell you different opinions, if such a thing existed in the cut throat universe the Sith lived in. Those that lived long enough merely had their own ideals built in and they stood fast to those ideologies. But ask any Sith and they will agree that Strength is the only way to raise up. That is another inner mantra within the Dark side: The Rule of the Strong. Here, only the powerful can rule and those weaker must bow. Sadly this way of life is why the Sith betray one another.
Time and time again the Sith mutiny against one another. It was unbearable to watch as one by one they are dethroned and taken up by someone who believes they have the right to lead. But how did they determine that they had that privilege to begin with? This is where Eriana Fox knew she was better than her brethren. She believed the Force, specifically the Dark side, was like a loving parent. It gifted them with wondrous abilities and allowed them to change the very universe for their own desires. But, such a gift should not be taken lightly.
This is what the Sacellum was built for. It's main goal was to spread the Word that the Sith were using their gifts wrongly. The Force was not some thing meant to be chained and stepped on to make one's self higher. It was a blessing. And we should be thankful. When we tug and tug at the hand giving food we soon find the connection broken and withered. We are nothing more than spoiled children begging for candy. Yet, realizing good behavior, the rewards come more often.
In this unity and devotion to the Dark side, Eriana believes she will find a greater peace. Her life has never been determined by hatred or rage. She had kept a calm demeaner and in her upbringing come to pray to the Dark side of the Force on a daily basis. Always in the morning; always at night. Occasionally she sought more from the mystical energies when she had questions or doubts, and so she'd pray more often that day. But one thing was for sure, she was always thankful.
Her journey had taken her to Ilum. It was a frozen wasteland that had once houses a terrible battle between the Jedi of old, and the ancestors of the Sith: the Exhiled. But a terrible tragedy occurred there and thousands of lives were lost. And for the past five centuries, all that pain and suffering had been accumulating in the icy caverns. Here, Eriana built her church. Made of stone and rock amid the ice, the Sacellum stands tall and opens its doors to any who seek knowledge.
The Confessor as she had come to be called, was the Head Priestess of this church. She had an arch-priestess as well, a devote soul who protected Eriana in times of danger. Eriana had her personal Apprentice in that church too. Neither of which were currently in the large sanctum of the church on this cold morning. Eriana Fox was wearing her usual Sith marauder gear only hers had been tailored to fit more as a corset than a heavy chest plate. Her torso, arms, and legs were covered in a thick black leather which helped keep out the cold and would also shield her from rough combat. Around her waist were two curved lightsaber hilts that showed off as much elegance as Eriana gave off just being her. Lastly, she wore a thick white cloak over her body that was decorated with the Old Empire emblem on the back.
Eriana had come to love her church. It was small, but meant more to her than anything else. Well, there was someone out there that was working his way up. She enjoyed her time with him, but she wouldn't say he was that special. Not yet anyways. It warmed her heart thinking about the Sith crusader, and she wondered when he would come to visit her on this chilly planet. For now though, she had new initiates to welcome. Speakers, she called them. For they would go and speak her Word to other Sith.
