ILUM: THE SACELLUM OF THE SITH
1100 Hours

@EmilyHuene ; @Doomfingers
[/fancybox2]

There comes a time in every Sith that they must decide what the Code means to them. The Code was made when the Sith were first born and separated themselves from the Jedi Order many centuries ago. Peace is a lie, there is only Passion. Through Passion I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory, my chains are broken! The Force shall free me. This was the Code of the Sith that every new learner was brainwashed into learning.

But what does these words mean? Scholars might tell you different opinions, if such a thing existed in the cut throat universe the Sith lived in. Those that lived long enough merely had their own ideals built in and they stood fast to those ideologies. But ask any Sith and they will agree that Strength is the only way to raise up. That is another inner mantra within the Dark side: The Rule of the Strong. Here, only the powerful can rule and those weaker must bow. Sadly this way of life is why the Sith betray one another.

Time and time again the Sith mutiny against one another. It was unbearable to watch as one by one they are dethroned and taken up by someone who believes they have the right to lead. But how did they determine that they had that privilege to begin with? This is where Eriana Fox knew she was better than her brethren. She believed the Force, specifically the Dark side, was like a loving parent. It gifted them with wondrous abilities and allowed them to change the very universe for their own desires. But, such a gift should not be taken lightly.

This is what the Sacellum was built for. It's main goal was to spread the Word that the Sith were using their gifts wrongly. The Force was not some thing meant to be chained and stepped on to make one's self higher. It was a blessing. And we should be thankful. When we tug and tug at the hand giving food we soon find the connection broken and withered. We are nothing more than spoiled children begging for candy. Yet, realizing good behavior, the rewards come more often.

In this unity and devotion to the Dark side, Eriana believes she will find a greater peace. Her life has never been determined by hatred or rage. She had kept a calm demeaner and in her upbringing come to pray to the Dark side of the Force on a daily basis. Always in the morning; always at night. Occasionally she sought more from the mystical energies when she had questions or doubts, and so she'd pray more often that day. But one thing was for sure, she was always thankful.

Her journey had taken her to Ilum. It was a frozen wasteland that had once houses a terrible battle between the Jedi of old, and the ancestors of the Sith: the Exhiled. But a terrible tragedy occurred there and thousands of lives were lost. And for the past five centuries, all that pain and suffering had been accumulating in the icy caverns. Here, Eriana built her church. Made of stone and rock amid the ice, the Sacellum stands tall and opens its doors to any who seek knowledge.

The Confessor as she had come to be called, was the Head Priestess of this church. She had an arch-priestess as well, a devote soul who protected Eriana in times of danger. Eriana had her personal Apprentice in that church too. Neither of which were currently in the large sanctum of the church on this cold morning. Eriana Fox was wearing her usual Sith marauder gear only hers had been tailored to fit more as a corset than a heavy chest plate. Her torso, arms, and legs were covered in a thick black leather which helped keep out the cold and would also shield her from rough combat. Around her waist were two curved lightsaber hilts that showed off as much elegance as Eriana gave off just being her. Lastly, she wore a thick white cloak over her body that was decorated with the Old Empire emblem on the back.

Eriana had come to love her church. It was small, but meant more to her than anything else. Well, there was someone out there that was working his way up. She enjoyed her time with him, but she wouldn't say he was that special. Not yet anyways. It warmed her heart thinking about the Sith crusader, and she wondered when he would come to visit her on this chilly planet. For now though, she had new initiates to welcome. Speakers, she called them. For they would go and speak her Word to other Sith.

Ah the cold! There was something truly enthralling about the clear and cool air of Ilum , as much as it shook Janiph to his core. There was simply something thrilling, perhaps even therapeutic about the cold, dry air against his face. Pale hands rubbed together to get warm, his eyes just as cold as the world he found himself on. This temple, this place of worship complimented the icy planet quite well, he couldn't think of a better place to build a shrine to the dark side. Korriban was a hot, desolate wasteland, a dead world for dead people, but this, well this something different entirely. The chill of low temperatures was that of the darkness, indeed, the cold and dark were one in the same, one needn't look further than the insidious void of space for that comparison. To be cold was to know the darkness, to shiver was to be given but a taste of death's cruel yet peaceful embrace.

In truth, Janiph was hardly religious at all. The acolyte viewed the dark side of the force ultimately as a tool, not some all-powerful deity. That and the idea of worshiping anything disgusted him, having no wish to submit himself to any save for the Empire, and yet he had come here anyway. The sith had only recently unified, the whole of their power divided in to two simply to see just who deserved to lord over the lot of them, how ironic both rulers had met their end?

As much as he loved the thought of more power and the prospect of god hood, he knew a divided Empire would not last long against the jedi and the savage mandalorians. If the sith were to survive, the sith NEEDED to reform. Control over the masses was necessary and what better way to control the masses than with religion? Try as he might, he could not think of a single better way to keep a leash on the ever troublesome 'politics' of his order. If he must feign zealotry so be it. History was filled with zealots who ruled and governed under such institutions, untitled by their common belief in something higher, it was a useful method to manipulate civilizations. Yes, this church would be a great asset to the state, and would quite possibly earn him a number of allies a long the way. In his short time as a sith Janiph had been set for failure from the very start. With so many defecting before the war's conclusion, the acolyte had no proper training, nor did he have any acquaintances, save perhaps for that pesky Milo, oh how Janiph wished to throw that loathsome little man out an airlock.

Bursting with adrenaline, he was thrilled as he made his way into the church, anxiously looking over every inch of his surroundings. His footsteps were like that of a mighty black serpent slithering across the floor, hungrily seeking more to look upon. At last, a proper initiation into his newfound family! He would finally be given what had been denied him for so long, a chance to grow in power, to blossom like a freshly grown flower in the field of darkness and decay.

It was then he saw her, the woman in the white robe. His pale eyes met her own and he somehow knew that this was who he had come to see. She was beautiful, the most beautiful woman he had likely ever seen, yet there was so much MORE for him to lose himself to. This was a true sith standing before him, not some overseer at the academy, and certainly not that bastard Milo. Standing before him now was POWER made manifest! She was glorious, a true champion of darkness.

Janiph immediately took to his knees. He would not be just another body for her to gloss over, he would be a forgettable gutter rat for her to smile upon and promptly forget moments after. She would ALWAYS remember this moment, she would ALWAYS know that he was the comrade, the student, the ally she had always yearned for. He would not waste this opportunity!

" In the years that I have salted the galaxy with my presence, none but you have ever brought to such humbling submission, madam. For 27 years the force had lead to this singular moment, preparing me for the day that I might look upon your majesty." Turning his head to the floor, the acolyte unsheathed his sword, one hand gripping the hilt, the other the blade as presented he it to his newfound matron.

" This vibroblade belonged to my father, it may be useless to one such as you but I offer it up as a sign of my complete and utter loyalty to you, to the Empire, TO THE DARK SIDE!" Ah he was becoming a bit too dramatic again, an old habit of his. His face kept facing the icy ground as a final sentence burst from his maul. "My flesh, my blood, MY VERY BONES are but extensions of your will! All I ask is for you to sharpen me into a weapon capable of serving to the best of my ability!"

The Dark side was ever present in these temples. As was the sensation whenever it bonded to someone. Eriana would turn as a new member of her church would come entering into her halls. His body a flame of his aura that bound him to the Force. It was the greatest gift he would ever receive in his life. The same gift that so many in the universe were blessed with and abused. It made Eriana weep. But that is why she was here to show them the error of their ways.

As the man approached her, she felt his conviction. He wanted something from her. There was no hostility, so she did not immediately go for her saber. Instead, she turned to face him completely as he came to kneel at her feet. Such a sight was welcome to The Confessor, but she would not ask this of him or any of her loyal followers. Here in this church, they were equals. Bowing to another meant complying to the Rule of the Strong. And while Eriana agreed that the strongest had the right to rule, she didn't align herself with believing in cutting down the one above them to rise up. Betrayal and mutiny is what had always been the problem with the Sith faction.

The man would then explain himself to Eriana, pledging his story as his allegiance to her. His humble submission of himself to her was a cummulation of all his years in the verse, all leading up to this moment. He then, brought out his blade from his side and offered it up to her. Eriana reached up and took off a glove from her hand, then placed the bare skin to the blade. In that moment, she read its history. The blade spoke to her through the Force and she saw flashes and tidbits of its past.

Meanwhile, Janiph would explain that the vibroblade before her had belonged to his father. A fact she knew instantly upon contact. It claimed it would be useless to Eriana, yet he offered it to her as with his loyalty. But not just to her, but to the Empire, and to the Dark side. His words became more and more dramatic as he spoke making a scene within the temple hall; all eyes would turn to fall on him. He expected to make a sight of himself, and he'd succeeded.

And while he was right, the blade was useless to Eriana, the motion and gesture of such was what was important. And though he carried a vibro blade, he would soon find himself another weapon. For these caverns beyond the halls of the Sacellum were full of Kyber gems. He would find a stone all his own and forge a saber within her guidance. But, only after being blessed in her ceremony. Only the Speakers could take crystals from her. That was one of the very few rules Eriana held over the church members. Do not take crystals if you are not a Speaker. Do not venture down beyond locked doors. Do not fight other members. And finally, treat every member like they are your equal.

Eriana would raise her hand and cup the man's cheek, "Initiate Balguir, do not bow before me. We are all children of the Dark side here. Please do not forget the rules." She would then crouch down along with him and guide his blade back down so that he could sheathe it once again. But, before she got back up, she'd lean in close and whisper to him and only him, "But this vow of fealty will not go unforgotten."

Standing up, she'd take away her cold and delicate hand before placing the glove back over it. She turned and would hold both arms out, calling to the other members around them. "My children. We go now to the caverns below for the Baptism. Come and follow Initiate Balguir for his fateful day."

With a smirk on her cheeks she would lower her arms and set them in front of her, clasping her fingers into one another. Walking slowly, she would make for the back of the temple to where the entrance to the caves was located. All the while, she thought about what Janiph had said. He vowed to serve her. She was his matron. And she served the true Empire, whomever would come to sit on the throne. Perhaps one day it would be her. But of all the things he said, this was the most crucial. He served the Dark side. The Force was not destined to one person. If the Dark side felt Eriana had served its purpose, she would fall and another would replace her. Same as the Emperor and Empress above The Confessor. They had fallen from their throne and another was to take their place. But all Sith obeyed the Dark side first and foremost. That was the unspoken rule. And Janiph understood that.

He would make an excellent Speaker.

He took to his feet the moment he was bid to. The priestess had surprised him, he needn't kneel? They were all children of the dark side? While he had heard rumor of how this organization was ran he couldn't quite understand, were they all meant to be seen as equal when they were clearly not? She had no doubt seen her fair share of conflict, and while Janiph himself had indeed caused his own fair share of trouble it had all amounted to petty nonsense compared to anything a seasoned sith had done. Well, if he didn't need to debase himself in such a manner he would hardly complain about such a thing, as he was loath to render submission in most cases.

As he followed her, he could feel his anticipation growing. This was not the common way for a young sith to find power, but it was the truly formidable that made their own path to greatness. Here he would find himself a powerbase loyal to more than just personal ambition, here he could find a proper force to one day bring order to this sick and disgusting world. The temple was deathly quiet, the only sound being their steps forward to the caverns, Janiph's arms were crossed behind his back as he carried himself with a military like discipline and sophistication to stand out amongst his peers as well as out of simple habit.

His cold eyes looked all around him, at his matron, at the others who had come to join the church, how many of them truly came out of pure zealotry? He doubted any of them would come here purely out of some selfless desire to serve, that was not the way of the sith, each and every one of these newcomers likely had plans and schemes just as he did, it would be ever so thrilling to out maneuver them all. This high priestess, however, she appeared to be around his age, leading him to believe she had been the victim of quite a nasty childhood to be in such a place of power at her age or perhaps she was simply taken by the sith so young that she never had one to begin with?

Oh what was he doing? These people would be his family to a degree, he doubted there would be a reason to guess who they were, he'd likely them all quite well soon enough. As they began to reach what he believed would be the passage to their destination he couldn't help but look upon the high priestess and think to him 'When am I going to get an outfit like that?'

Mid watched from the shadows as his High Priestess welcomed the new member. He certainly had quite the dramatic flare to him, that much was clear.

Since he joined the church he basically moved in, wanting to be closer to the Dark Side. He still had his room on Korriban within the academy but it was practically empty. All his personal effects and belongings were either on his freighter or in his personal room within the Sacellum. And just like every normal person he was protective of his home, though he didn't doubt for a second that Priestess Eriana would cut him down without a second thought if he tried anything.

His golden eyes glowed in the darkness as he leaned against a wall, his arms folded over his chest. He eyed every motion the man made. When he drew his sword, Mid almost grabbed at it with the force, but kept to himself as Eriana was completely fine with everything the man did.

She knelt down beside him after telling him one of the rules...one the pureblood still struggled with from time to time being the soldier he is...then knelt beside him, whispering something in his ear.

Finally she stood up, then announced that everyone had to make for the caverns for a baptism...that was quick. Mid relaxed significantly, trusting in the Confessor's judgement. All the other minor speakers and caretakers made for the caves below and he soon followed behind the group, the duraplast-plated boots of his heavy armour echoed lightly in the quiet, vast room as he followed.

Both his hands were placed on the pommels of the lightsabers on his hips, still keeping his guard up in case the man tried anything.

He was young, around the same age as the High Priestess. Didn't matter much, since both of them were significantly shorter and lighter than him just like everyone else in the church...an aspect he found more and more amusing with every passing day.

But unlike with the man, Mid still looked up to Eriana in times of doubt and need. Despite being older than her, he held the utmost repect for the true sith leading him and the church.

As the events unfolded within the central chamber of the temple, a door on the upper level slid open and several imperials walked out, carrying blaster rifles. These were not, in fact troopers, as one might expect. Their masks resembled them, but the tubes running from either side down to the console on their chests and their relative lack of armor marked these men as pilots. Nevertheless, they strode, armed, out onto the walkway that ran above the chamber and turned, clicking their heels together. Behind them, a blue-skinned, pink-haired woman strode out, walking to the railing to gaze down at the ground floor below. The woman's blue skin was adorned with colorful tattoos that glowed lightly in well-lit, and yet almost gloomy hall. Shikari Gale, Crusader of the empire and Arch-Priestess of the Sacellum watched as the new recruit presented himself to the Head Priestess below. As the back-and-forth drew to a close and Eriana began leading the man to the inner chambers, Shikari sniffed indifferently. "This acolyte seems to have an overly-enthusiastic flair for the dramatic. How tedious." She said to herself. As the party below headed towards the inner chambers, Shikari made her way down the walkway towards the massive stairwell and headed down. Her cadre of eight armed pilots formed twin lines of four behind her and kept pace.

Reaching the bottom of the stairs, Shikari headed towards the inner chambers behind the Head Priestess and the other Speakers following to witness the young man's baptism, her cadre in tow. She moved to a short distance behind Eriana and the Acolyte. She wasn't overly concerned with the Head Priestess's security, here in the middle of her Sacellum. This was probably one of the safest places for her in the empire aside from Korriban itself, or possibly Coruscant. But still, Shikari was aware of their surroundings and the situation. The Mandalorians had managed to conquer a huge swath of the galaxy, slicing between the two halves of the empire, and they had done so mostly utilizing espionage and covert military strikes from what Shikari had gathered. They were known to be shadows and terrorists and she would be having none of that here on Ilum. If anyone in the crowd tried anything, she would sense it and move to intercept. But again, this was the center of the Sacellum and she saw no faces that she did not recognize from the frequent security checks that Eriana's security forces sent to the Arch-Priestess.

As they reached the inner sanctum, Shikari's eyes shifted to their surroundings. The massive stone pillars and eerie greenish glow certainly set a mood in this place, and the huge stone statues, all of beings who seemed to stand straight and yet held their heads low in some form of bow of obedience made the place seem almost depressing at times. It was all a bit much for Shikari's taste. She wasn't as fanatical as Eriana frequently was (as evidenced by her responses to the dramatic Acolyte's advances). Sure, she believed in the cause, but she trusted the powers the dark side granted her and the curved s-shaped saber staff on the back of her waist more than some all-encompassing "will of the force". But, then, that's why she was where she was and Eriana was where she was. Eriana was the religious and general leader of the Sacellum. She was meant to be filled with religious fervor. Shikari was the protector of the Sacellum, the Head Priestess, and all of the Sacellum's holdings. It was her place to grow the Sacellum's military might and destroy their enemies wherever they may rear their heads. Eriana could delve as deep into the dark side of the force as she desired, because Shikari was here to safeguard the Sacellum from the real-world threats.

The caves of Ilum were something of a beauty. White and blue walls lines with sparkling gems. Not unlike the crystals used in a Jedi's weapon. This was once their treasure trove. But now the planet belonged to the Sith. As noted by the emanating air of the Dark side. A horrible tragedy burned this planet some centuries ago and has since been stewing with the sorrow and pain of those who'd fallen then. This was the place the Sacellum was built in, where it would thrive and grow. The agony of the Dark side against this planet would give them power unlike any other.

Janiph would follow behind The Confessor and so too would a few other of her patrons. Mid Samekh included. And of course her first friend within the Sith Empire: Shikari Gale. It was why she held the position of Arch-priestess. It was her job to help specialize the Church, while also fortifying it and protecting them all from danger. This allowed Eriana to focus more on its members and social practices so that their strength in numbers and power would all grow from within. The Arch-priestess would follow behind the entourage with her armed guards furthering the security of its Priestess. Not that Eriana felt any danger here from her fellow members.

As they walked, her newest initiate who'd proven himself willing to join would ask her about the outfit she wore. She replied calmly, speaking as if the two were good friends and not by any chain of command. "If you wish to know my tailor I can get you acquainted. Though I doubt you are asking to wear a corset like myself." She'd smirk a little at her own joke and then add a little louder so everyone could hear, "Though Lady Gale and I are considering uniforms of the sort for everyone. Though nothing so formal or restricting. Maybe just white cloaks with out symbol. It's on the list of things to do, though near the bottom naturally."

They moved deeper into the caverns so that only ice and the occasional lantern would great them. It was not nearly dark enough for anyone to draw their sabers out, but this was still part of the inner church. There was one cavern that descended deep into the dark which Eriana blocked off with a wooden door. No one was to travel further than that point. For their own safety. Terrible things were still turning up down there and until Eriana herself had scoped them all out she would not allow her Speakers to endanger themselves. But, they were not heading towards those pathways.

Instead, the path would open to large hallways and higher caverns until they came upon the greatest sight yet to be beheld on this planet. The sound of rushing water would be heard and once the walls opened up to the sight, everyone could see the waterfall. Eriana made her way down carefully through the steps carved into the ice and brought herself to the edge of the water. She turned and waited for all of her flock to join her. She'd then take off her long white cloak as well as both of her sabers and hand them to @Shikari .

"Initiate Balguir, please join me here and remove anything you wish not to get wet." Eriana would wait for him to do so and would address everyone once more while he disrobed. "My loyal subjects. We are here to observe the baptism of Janiph Balguir. He has been blessed by the Dark side of the Force but has since used it impurely. Here, today, we will cleanse him of his past and bathe him in the waters of Ilum. He will rise from these waters a Speaker of the Force, a loyal member of the Sacellum."

Slowly, Eriana would then start to back up into the cold and freezing waters of the pool. The water soaking her clothes up to where she stopped at her waist. She didn't seem bothered by the cold. The Dark side was meant to be cold. It was bracing and fortifying. But in this water of melted Kyber crystals yet to form into solid shape they would feel its raw power giving them strength and purity.

"Join me, Initiate Balguir. Join me and cleanse your soul."

Well this was certainly shaping up to be the odd affair. Never in his life would Janiph had thought himself a member of a cult, though he supposed the sith in of themselves were merely a cult as well, granted one with rather loose rules and guidlines. The opprotunity to cultivate his own power through Eriana's rabble would likely take little effort, once could always count on the devotion of radical extremists so long as the power that drove them was clear and ever present. He truly was excited, if not just a tad confused by the initiation. The Sacellum was as mysterious as it was beautiful, not unlike the sith who governed over it. In time he would see many more pass through these doors. This world would be the bedrock of his efforts to bring a lasting order to the galaxy.

It was when his newfound matron beckoned him to join her in the icy waters that his body tensed just a bit. The idea of suffering on this already frigid planet was hardly something he'd savor, nor was undressing himself as the others watched him like scavaging beasts. Perhaps he'd be more pre disposed if Eriana and himself were alone, but alas it seemed this was the way it must be, oh the the troubles he had endured to have but a taste of true power.

Without missing a beat he removed his armor and the dark robes that had warmed him, revealing his muscular chest for all to see, his pale flesh shining like a newborn star in the frozen temple with only his pants remaining upon his form. The water called to him, as if it had been waiting for him all his life, waiting for this specific moment to swallow up the infamous con man of corocant and vomit forth a true champion of darkness, one who's will would bring doom to lessar men and women. He winced once his toes touched the numbing liquid, muttering a soft grunt before continue his way forward, hopeing none had heard him.

If he focused only upon the water he would never make it through this 'initiation' the unpleasantness of the whole damnable affair overwhelming his spoiled and privileged mind. No, he would need to focus on something that he found enjoyable, or perhaps someone in this instance. Pale eyes would meet Eriana's again, oh what a curious creature she was, she who despite being sith had chosen to serve the dark side above all else. Despite all her power and fortitude she chose to serve, she was an absolute enigma to Janiph, and he rather enjoyed that. He made his approach, starring deeper into his matron's eyes with each step forward, she was in this moment the embodiment of the darkness calling to him, beckoning his soul to give himself to her in all things.

" I stand ready to become one with the lot of you! I ask, no, I BEG to be hollowed out and turned into a vessel for nothing but complete and utter darkness!"

As Mid followed the group, he took the time to once again take in the entirety of the cave. It was truly a beautiful sight to behold...and even though he firmly believed that 'peace is a lie', this would be how he would describe it if he were asked how he pictured it. The flowing 'liquid kyber', the ice, the snow, the gentle and soothing sound of the water was extremely calming and...peaceful to the Pureblood.

Mid stood tall in the back with his hands behind his back, trying to figure out the newcomer's angle as he stepped into the water after the High Priestess. He winced a little at the idea of being in that freezing water. He'd been in there before, and since then he made a point of staying out of the water unless ordered otherwise. Eriana handed her weapons and cloak over to Shikari, but Mid knew that if the "initiate Balguir" tried anything that he would be folded like a camping chair by the two women.

Once again the initiate showed his overdramatic side. A side that Mid also had but knew how to keep a lid on if needed. One thing was for certain, this 'Balguir' had enthusiasm and Mid was in no position to judge his resolve or doubt the fire in his heart...but there was something in the back of Mid's mind pulling at him.

"What is it you seek? What brought you here?"

The Confessor watched with patient eyes as the man undressed and then finally surrendered to the pool. It would be cold, yes, but the Dark side was born in cold. To embrace it was to embrace the true power of the universe. And doing so would give him that edge to grow in its power. He would stare at her as he entered, but the gesture was lost upon her gray eyes. She only saw his commitment and his fortitude. That was all she needed to see.

He would then speak to her once more, a grand spectacle for her, the Force, and those who'd come to bear witness. Again, The Confessor felt such an act was worthless. It would do no good to make a scene any more than it would to stay quiet. But Eriana couldn't help but smirk as he did so. It was a cute little act and it reminded her of a mutt begging for affection. She couldn't lie that the sadistic nature inside her really wished to use that to its fullest.

Janith begged the matron to hollowed out so that he might be a vessel for the darkness. She would do just that. Reaching into the water she collected some of it between her hands and then raised it up in the air for all to see. "Initiate Balguir has come before us wishing to be cleansed. His soul and body were touched by the darkness but he is merely lost in that abyss. Here, we give him a path and a destiny. Here, he will honor our code and our rules to cherish the Dark side and protect those who are its children. Here, he will spread the Word of the Dark side and unite all of its children to one power. Here, he will be reborn."

Moving her arms above his head she would then separate her hands and thus drip the water from her palms down onto his head. The cold water would feel much different from merely walking into it. Was it just because of the symbolic nature of the ceremony? Or was there someone deeper going on here that could not be explained by mortal means? Another mystery of the Force to be sure, but one they would celebrate. Either way, Janiph would feel rejuvenated. His body and mental state alike would feel fresh and restored as if he'd been given all the energy in the galaxy. He'd likely feel like he could take on an army or two. Eriana knew this because this is how she felt every time she stepped foot in that chilly lake.

"Janiph Balguir, I welcome you to the Sacellum of the Sith. You are now a Speaker. Go, and spread the Word of the Dark side. Protect its children and send those who stand against you to the Force."

Lowering her hands she'd bring them down to her front and clasp them together. She had a gentle smile on her face like that of a proud mother. While she did not see them as her children, she still treated them like such. Through her guidance they would do great things in the Force. She was sure of it.
