"SCREW YOU!"

Kobar answered back with venom but Adun's punch hit him square the face, forcing him back in the process. Yet the warlord pounce right back at Adun, meeting the padawan's fury with his own. He violently slashed back and forth, aiming for the upper body area. Meanwhile a few feet away, the rebels with Raya watched and ready their blasters to fire. Yet they couldn't do it, concerned they would hit Adun as he and the pirate chieftain were too close toghether to make a clear shot.

At the other escape pod section not too far away, Forim was about to head into one of the pods, when he sensed a storm of dark emotions close by. He paused and looked down the hallway to his right, and saw flashes of lightsabers clashing with one another. Looking to the others already in the pod, he said.

"I'll catch up with ya all. Need to help out our friends."

Before they can object, Forim closed the hatch between them and pressed a button to launch them away. With that done, he ran as fast as he could toward direction of the duel.

 

[Algarus]

Adun parried the blows with his new found power, but could see the others were still nearby. "GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!" he shouted.

While Adun was distracted for only a moment, that was all the pirate leader needed. He grazed his side with his blade causing the padawan to grunt out in pain. Adun stumbled back and tried to block the following attack, but failed as again the pirate cut into part of his leg.

Adun fell to his knee as he brought up his saber to block an overhead strike by the pirate leader. He managed to hold it back, but could feel his strength fading, the fatigue and injuries from the previous battles were beginning to catch up to him. Slowly, the golden blade of the raider inched closer and closer towards Adun's face as the padawan was starting to falter. Everything was hurting, his arms were shaking as he could feel the muscles in his right arm begin to tear, as his cybernetic arm was trying to make up for the rest. All he could do now was buy himself time. Is....this....how it ends?

Ray turned towards the escape pods to get away with the others but turned back again to listen to the clashing of lightsabers. She was hoping Adun was a formidable swordsman enough to defeat this guy. Well she knew he was a good fighter and was almost going to go through with escaping, but she could sense something still wasn't right. Deciding she would act on it she let go of her broken arm and used the other to un-clip her second lightsaber. She had little experience in using her left hand independently and she would struggle to fight with it.

She ignited her lightsaber and but never took up a stance. And then it happened and Adun was nearly struck down, until Ray forced jumped right next to him and stuck out her blade to block the warlord's lightsaber. She flipped over Adun and kicked the warlord in the face with all her might.

The warlord shriek animalistic scream of rage at being denied his kill as he fell from the kick dealt by Raya. He got back up was about unleashed another Force push when suddnely he was struck by a blaster bolt in the back forcing him to his knees. The rebels and the Jedi could see it was Forim with rifle in hand. The other rebels opened up as well, forcing the pirate leader block the shots from different angles by Forim and his comrades. Wounded and exhausted, a few bolts hit in different spots across his body yet still Kobar refused to go down.

Of course, being forced to defend against the rebel blaster fire left him distracted from the Jedi, who can expoilt to finish this fight once and for all.

 

[Algarus]

Adun was in angish. He felt as if every muscle in his body had been tore, and felt a sicking cold starting to take him over. He saw that the pirate leader was distracted by the burst of blaster fire, but he felt as if he couldn't even lift his blade to strike the man down. He slowly raised his weapon up, his cybernetic arm shaking as he did so. He must have damaged some of the curcuitry during the fight, as it wasnt responding like it should. He would need help to finish this fight.

Seeing that Adun wasn't able to strike back, Ray lifted her saber up, drew it back and pierced the warlord in the back with it. She watched as he stood in shock for a moment before he collapsing on his knees. He slid right off the blade and fell onto the floor. She stared at him and shut off her saber to help Adun up,"You alright?"

Kobar finally laid dead, much to the relief of the small and exhausted band gathered together. Forim while pleased they did it, he grew sadden seeing the state Adun was in and the dead body of Hark who saved the Jedi earlier. He will have to break the bad news to the Zabark's sister and her family back on Bespin, who was expecting him to visit next shore leave there. Suddnely he and everyone still onboard felt the ship slowly collapsing downward.

"Get to the pods now!"

Assisting Raya in helping Adun onto his feet, they followed the others into an escape pod. Shutting the door behind, one of the rebels pressed the activation button and the pod launch out of the ship down toward the surface below.

Adun felt his consciousness fading as he felt his body being lifted up. His back was wet with blood, as the wounds from earlier opened up during the fight, and his newest wounds were not helped the process at all. The level of pain he was in was something he had not felt in years, since he was basked in fire during his youth. He swayed as he felt himself being set down, his eyelids flickering to stay open. He swayed forward in his chair before the safety harness kept him in place. It hurt to breath, or do anything for that matter, but he had to make sure she made it. He pushed himself to raise his head as he looked about the pod for here. "Rayla?" His voice was barely above whisper, but he needed to make sure. "Rayla?"

Ray put her hand on his shoulder, "I'm here" She smiled at how panicked he looked, and how quiet he was,"You're an idiot, Adun" She gave him a gentle and friendly hug, as if she had forgotten why they were uneasy around each other in the first place,"...I'm always saving your ass" Every mission they took part in one of the two always needed rescuing, and 70 percent of the time it was Adun,"But nice duel though...I wish I could've taken part"

Forim didn't join in on the Jedi conversation out of respect, but he turn his focus on his men with them. They did it, all of the , rebel and Jedi alike took down a hostile vessel that threaten Ione. The freedom fighters just sat and soak in this victory but also sliently mourn for those who gave their lives to achieve those goals. Sure only a few men died but for the Corusca crew any death among them was treated like the loss of close family member. Yet they will ceberate nonelthess, as a way to honor their memory.

Just as they were about to hit the surface, Forim received word from the comms channel, that rebel reinforcements had arrived and the remaining pirates at the spaceport were being routed. Even with this win, Forim thought back to the two Jedi's behavior during the mission, they greatly helped indeed and he was grateful for it, but that didn't change the fact that they displayed dark side attributes that need to be addressed.

I'm gonna make a call to the Order, they got some explaining to do. Forim told himself quietly.

 

[Algarus]

Adun smiled weakly, relieved to feel her embrace as he slumped forward unconscious. "Thats...good..." He mumbled before he slipped away. The stress of the previous battles and his blood loss having taken it's toll on him. The doomed vessel began to plummet to the ground below; thick trails of smoke pour out of its now destroyed hull plating as fire streaked across entire decks as the once massive ship neared its end. The last few members of the squad managed to board the few remaining escape pods, and shoot back to the safety of the ground below. The former raider ship slammed into the earth, creating a massive explosion that was heard for miles as tons of rock and stone fell into the air, taking the pirates and the captain with it. Dark pillars of thick smoke covered the sky above the crash, signaling to scavenging teams, the point of impact.

Ray smiled, rolled her eyes and caught him before he hit the floor and pulled him up and let his head rest on her shoulder. It was uncomfortable at first but that feeling quickly slipped away as Ray began to feel happy that Adun was finally with her. Even in a way that was totally expected and odd. But she didn't care. She just smiled and closed her eyes,"What a mission"
