Yavin 4, many a legend surrounded the planet, at one time it had been the home of the rebel alliance, but before that it had been something far darker something far more intricate a secret was buried here a secret that one could understand by looking at the structures and architecture of the ancient temples, the sith had colonized this planet eons ago after Naga Sadow lost his fleet during the great Hyperspace wars, and the unavoidable betrayal of Ludo Kresh.

It was here on yavin 4 at one of the ancient temples that Kael Tavlek, Fleet Admiral of the High Guard, was sitting meditating feeling through the force for something, anything that would lead him to his target, it wasn't often that he found himself planet side, but this specific job, this specific item needed his direct attention, he sensed it close by, but there was something else, a ripple in the force, something he hadn't felt before, he knew the word it had been used before to describe someone skilled in the force but practicing a much different aspect of the force then what his people taught, they were called Jedi.

Jedi Knight Haloburner Lamb has always known her weakness- although she never verbalized it. Part of her weakness stems from the fact that her Master left her too soon. Oh no, it was nothing on Halo’s part that caused the move. Halo’s Master went awol on the order which left Halo master less after she was Knighted.

The female Knight tried to find suitable masters who can help her sharpen her weakness, but that never lasted. Knight Lamb gave up entirely on the idea of mastering her weakness, with the blade, until a fellow Knight of hers gave her a contact- Kael Tavlek, Fleet Admiral of the High Guard. The timing was perfect, as the blonde Knight was in-between the end of training her second Padawan, Andreus Makaryk, and acquiring a new one.

Her excitement about the impending spar/practice in a new combat form was dashed when the blonde Knight discovered she will have to travel to Yavin 4. Nonetheless, for the sake of combating her weakness, Halo did. She found herself maneuvering through luscious jungle of thick trees, filled with the harmonious sounds of birds. The symphony of birds chirping however was easily overshadowed when Haloburner had to maneuver around the much dreaded crystal snakes that Yavin 4 is known for.

“Anything to meet this Kael Tavlek,” Halo whispered as she levitated her body off the ground, away from the pack of snakes and through the luscious vegetation. Soon, she found her way to the final destination- one of the ancient temples. Lamb made her way inside the main entrance and allowed the Force to guide her to Kael Tavlek. She passed through what appeared to be sparsely occupied labyrinth temple. Alas, she saw her contact- sitting in what appeared to be a meditation position.

Quietly, Knight Lamb made a way to the back of the room while announcing her presence

“Hello, I am Jedi Knight Lamb…”

Kael stood up to his full height, the male Vedran wasn't overly big for his species but by human standard 2m was big he turned to face the Jedi Knight, his crimson eyes burning in the shadows of the temple, his red skin glistening with the sweat from his brow, the Jungle moon was hot this time of year, He bowed to her as was customary when meeting someone of rank and influence.

"Well met Knight Lamb, I am Kael Tavlek Fleet Admiral of the High Guard, what brings you to this pleasant little Jungle planet?"

Kael stepped out of the shadows, he wouldn't be surprised if his Appearance startled the Young Jedi, he had that affect on people, after all he had been informed that his race was descended from the ancient sith that were once enslaved by the rakattan eons ago.

His High guard uniform was form fitted to his muscular body, a Cloak was strapped to his uniform by a pair of Duranium Broaches a chain connecting the 2 broaches to each other, his Force lances (Lightsabers is what the Jedi had called them) were visible strapped to his belt, they looked old but it was obvious they had seen use over the years.

Halo had on her usual green pants, creamed colored tight top, and matching green jacket. On her hip were two lightsabers hanging on a belt clip. Her usual attire was however covered over with her brown Jedi Robe. The room she stood in was rather simple- nothing ornate about the room at all. In fact, the only thing pleasant to the eyes was the the sunshine permeating the room.

The man stood as tall as a giant- from Knight Lamb’s (5 ft. 9 in.) perspective. She knew that Vedran man of stature should be greeted with a warrior’s handshake, and a bow. Both in essences show a sign of respect and honor on the greeters part. Halo however decided against the former and went with the latter. Knight Lamb made a reciprocal bow.

“I hope I did not disturb you, Admiral Tavlek…”

Halo said, and then adjusted her lightsaber clips hanging on her waist. For the life of her, she can’t figure out why the stupid thing keeps wanting to fall of her hip. As she adjusted her hip clip, she added:

“Well, I was sent here by a fellow Jedi. According to my contact you are the man to help me. You see, I need training in mastering the area of combat forms.”

Halo went straight to the point instead of giving the man her entire life story. She figures the time will come for that, besides if Admiral Tavlek wanted to know he would have asked. The blonde Knight fiddled with her hip clip again while she waited for the man to speak.

Kael bowed in return, a proper greeting for a warrior.

"The sword is not your first choice of weapon is it Knight Lamb? but perhaps I can be of assistance, I am versed in a couple of Forms, my most prominent is the form of Jar'kai it utilizes 2 swords one to support the other, the other form I use is known as Vaapad it draws on the darker rawer emotions of the wielder, if you are willing I will teach you these forms, and perhaps in doing so you may be able to teach me something I don't know."

Kael smiled and bowed again drawing both of his Force Lances from their sheathes on his hips, igniting the Crimson blades he took up an obvious combat stance, the right blade aimed backward along his arm the left blade held forward and across his body.

Hmmm. Knight Lamb listened as the admiral spoke. She was however, surprised to hear that his assistance to the blonde predicated ‘something’ that Halo was not entirely certain. Perhaps the blonde was reading too much into what the man said. Perhaps his facial and outward appearance overshadowed what was been said.

At any rate, the young Knight un-clipped her lightsaber belt, removed the two saber and turned both sabers to the lowest setting. No need to injure anyone here, she thought. Quickly, Lamb turned her attention to the admiral.

“Teach me the form that you are most comfortable with. Be it Jar'kai, Vaapad or any other form. My mission is to master at least one other form that I am not familiar with before I leave. Now as far as the ‘something’ you spoke of, in return for your assistance, it depends entirely on what exactly it is.”

With that, the Jedi Knight took her stance and made to slashes in the air- not entirely certain what Admiral Kael will make of it….

The force started flowing through the temple, the air around Kael and Halo started to vibrate with the increase in power in the room, all at once the build up of energy stopped, time itself seemed to stand still as Kael flashed from where he was and appeared moments later in front of Halo, his forward force lance came across in a wide arc that would be easily deflected, as he swung he used the momentum to spin on his axis bringing his other force lance forward in a sweeping strike, the strike was low and aimed at the calf of the Jedi Knight, it would not be a lethal or even debilitating strike, it had just enough strength behind it to cause pain.

As she took her stances, the blonde could feel the vibration of the room changing progressively.

The change simultaneously aligned with the admiral’s sudden change of position. Seconds later, the Jedi saw Kael’s sweeping strike aimed at her calf. Seeing what the pending strike could do- if successful- Knight Lamb quickly levitated off the ground away from the admiral’s pending strike and into the air. Causing enough distance away from the Kael’s weapon, but enough room for her to make a retaliatory strike on her own.

Still in front of the admiral, Haloburner aimed at his arm- using her dominate hand, like an undercut strike. While levitating, she gathered enough Force wind in her and aimed that energy towards his arm, while striking at the same time. If successful her strike will knock down the man’s weapon off his hand.

Kael quickly repositioned his weapon spinning it n his hand so the blade aimed backwards toward his chest it would be enough to block the simply understrike from Halo while Kael spun again on his axis he flipped his other saber around and aimed his strike at her mid section.

Still levitating, the Jedi Knight watched admiral Kael’s weapon turn backwards towards him. Apart from the her witness of the admiral’s robe flip, her Force wind did next to nothing as far as physical damage is concerned.

As Kael quickly circumvented the blonde’s uppercut strike, Halo quickly turned on her second lightsaber. Like Trakata (which is not Halo’s preferred combat form due to it’s focus on deception) the admiral appears to be switching to Niman/Jar'kai, which utilizes dual blades. The only problem is the blonde’s familiarity to this combat form is zero to none.

Nonetheless, she improvised. Second blade now turned on, she used her dominant hand to block Kale’s aim at her torso/mid section. Simultaneously, Lamb aimed her left saber higher at the Vedran’s Collarbone.

Jar'kai was an incredibly adaptive agile form and Kael was a master of it, he quickly switched up the lightsaber in his left hand rotating it up so that it would block the strike to his collarbone, at the same time he let her block his strike to her midsection, he dropped down onto one knee and thrust his right arm forward holding the lance to the side along his body blade facing to the left, using the force he gripped her right ankle and pulled to the right intending on slamming her into the far wall.

Agile or not, Haloburner needed to block her right leg attack. Quickly she gathered the Force, enough to push the admiral of kilter and away from the blonde. While simultaneously using Force Push against the attack on her left leg, Halo levitated away from the rather tall Vedran.

Kael followed Launching himself forward and into the air, he spin mid air bringing both lances forward wrapping his arms around his body so that both blades would strike one right after the other, the attack was meant to keep Halo off balance, Kaels second combat form was Vaapad which pulled on the darker emotions of the combatant, it's main secret though was to continually attack and to force your opponent into a defensive posture offering them no chance to attack.

Seeing Kael’s pending and approaching counter attack/attack gave the blonde two options. Knight Lamb when compared to the tall Admiral was merely a scrawny little thing. As such Halo thought about counter attacking the tall Vedran by absorbing his attack then striking him at the torso. The second option was to use her Jedi telekinesis powers to strike down Kael’s weapon. Both defenses relied not on agility but strength. The latter was something that the blonde did not have much to spare.

Knight Lamb had no room for error, not this time. As such, she quickly span her 123 pounds body the opposite direction, while simultaneously drawing on the Force, and Jump up to the ceiling. She finally rested her legs on the beam while peering down to Admiral Kael.

“Sorry, I just didn’t have the strength to take the pending attack.”
She panted rhythmically, though in need of fresh air as she waited for the tall Vadren to respond.

Kael came to a halt landing, he stood up and deactivated his Lances and then put them back in his Sheathes, turning he bowed to Lamb.

"Mastering Jar'kai is a mastery of one self, the form requires focus and agility, you Knight Lamb have taken your first step down the Path of a Jar'kai practitioner."

 

[Padmé]

Haloburner watched from above as the Vedran turned his weapons off, then tucked them away. She herself did likewise, excerpt she used telekinesis to manipulate the sabers back to her hip clip. Next, she jumped down to face the Admiral, followed by a quick bow to marking the end of their spar.

“Thank you sir. You are a master of Jar'kai combat form indeed, as I was not expecting to delve deep into it upon my arrival. Nonetheless, you good sir, are the one that I need to practice with...”

… At least for a while, she added in her thoughts.

"Knight Lamb would you care to accompany me to my ship? I would like to give you something as a gift."

 

[Padmé]

Haloburner heard her name, followed by a question.

…give you something as a gift.

Said the admiral. A gift? If anything the blonde was suppose to be the one giving gift. However, she pushed aside her curiosity and fell in step with the Vedran.

"Certainly, although I should be the one giving the gift..."

 

[Bad Wolf]

Kael escorted her to his shuttle, it wasn't an overly impressive vessel, but it was obvious that it was from a military organization, as the Shuttle departed Yavin IV, the Command Carrier came into view, this was an impressive ship, the shuttle docked in the starboard hangar, and Kael and Halo were greeted by a contingent of personnel all saluted as he exited the shuttle.

"Knight Lamb welcome aboard the Gungnir, command carrier and flag ship of the Systems Common wealth, I mentioned a gift."

kael spoke as he walked across the Hangar bay, his arms folded behind him, he stopped in front of a very sleek fighter craft, obviously a single pilot craft.

"The Valkyrie Mk III stealth/Air-space superiority fighter, not highly armored, but it is fast and capable of faster then light travel on it's own, My gift to you, I noticed you did not have a ship of your own."

He tossed her a Holo Communicator as well, not of a design she would be familiar with.

"I would be interested in training with you in the future, and maybe some day sitting down for conversation."

 

[Padmé]

The female Jedi was surprised by the generous gesture of the Admiral. Not only had he taken time and effort to train Lamb in Jar'Kai combat form, he was not willingly giving her a very generous gift.

"Thank you sir."

Knight Lamb gladly accepted Admiral Kael's gift, and bowed to show her appreciation.

"Certainly, I'd love to sit and converse with you when the opportunity presents it self. As far as the training, I am currently in between Padawans so we can potentially work something out."

Moments like these made the blonde glad that Andreus helped her overcome - albeit forcefully- her pteromerhanophobia, and trained her in flying.

Knight Lamb had the sudden urge to hug the Vedran, but she decided against it, as there were other lower ranking attendants in their proximity.
