Xath watched the young man sitting across from him, refusing to say anything for quite a bit. It had been a while since that cantina run-in; still, he owed it to him. "Listen, boy, I can't say that I especially like you, and I'm confident you couldn't say the same about me...nevertheless, I owe you an apology." He paused to think about his next words.

"What I was saying in that cantina, I understand it was 99% jargon, Sith propaganda. 1% fact. I understand that's why you didn't want to listen, and that's a respectable reason...neverhtless, I believe I owe you a firm, steady...explanation of the Dark Side." He stared the kid in the eye. "You can listen if you want, you can ignore me if you'd like, or you can leave if you so feel...but in my opinion, it'd be well worth your time."

"And one more thing; you're obviously a capable young man. I'd like to stop calling you boy...but I'd need a name to do that."
He laughed; now it all depended on the kid's response.

Laeonas was half paying attention when the Sith had begun talking. He was distracted by a Twi'lek clad in a dancer's outfit that had been... staring since he had entered. Normally he just wouldn't pay attention, but between everything, the boy wasn't exactly acting how he usually did. Putting pressure on his temple, Laeonas turned to pay attention to his dark robed drinking partner, and he quietly sipped from a plane cup of water.

He remained unaffected when Xath offered an apology, and he pursed his lips when there was an offer of understanding; which the boy had to admit was surprising, considering Xath's... preferences. It wasn't something Laeonas had much experience with either, but to him, that applied to almost everything on Tatooine.

As Xath finished, Laeonas took a gulp from his cup. He hadn't shaved in the past few days due to his little escapade into the desert, which combined with his newly purchased desert garments and shoulder length hair made him look like significantly different.

"Right, Ai should introduce maeself," he muttered, resting his hands on the table. "Ai'm Laeonas of 'ouse Tannaras, son of some rich shitehead and an armorer's daughter. Ai'm 'riginally from Brentaal, and Ai'v spent near mae entire life wonderin' if me bein' able to lift things with mae mind made me one in quin'tillion." Laeonas finished quickly, sitting up. "Now, what's yer name, yer Great Sithiness?"

Xath shook his head and laughed. "Not Great Sithiness. I know it might surprise you, but you're about 1 in 100 instead...there are a lot of people like you." He paused.

"Name's Xath, Xath Skous. Parents died by pirate raid when I was little; a Sith secret organization, which I won't reveal, took me in. Taught me how to fine-tune these abilities that I have."

He noted the boy was distracted by something, but hey...couldn't be much worse than what they'd already gotten out of. "As to the dark side...it's not the strong preying on the weak. That's old Sith Order philosophy, something that we Eternal rejected." He rested his head on his hand.

"You're right. The Empire was awful--as was the Emperor and whatever other Sith lived during that time. The Eternal is different; we rely on the Dark Side, but we believe in a cycle, not a rule."

"The battle between the Sith and the Jedi--it's cycle, like life and death. We wish only to continue that cycle; with our logic, were it to end, so would the galaxy."
He didn't know if the kid was even opening to learning any of this, but it was worth a shot.
