Clan Eldar Battle Hym
History
Clan Eldar was formed during the First Crusading Era like many clans, though the clans story differs from many others. You see as many clans can trace their lineage back to a single house, clan or group; Clan Eldar cannot. Their story begins in a single calling, to be the first chosen to sit foot on Concord Dawn as advanced scouts. Many clans put forth warriors to accept this honor. Though these scouts still needed a leader. One rose to the top, Tulk'va Eldar, a women who at the time held no clan allegiance but had proven herself time and time again to be true Mandalorian at heart.

With a commander chosen the scout ships were deployed and set about their duties. They spent months on planet relaying valuable information to their fellow crusaders, though tensions were high among the soldiers. Many clans still held to their old rivalries and seldom fights among the men and women would break out. Tulk'va would not stand for this. She would work tirelessly to insure her mission was a success and worked to quell these squabbles as she truly believed in Mandalore the Conquer's ideals of a united Mandalorian people. She would eventually succeed and bring her troops together by repeatedly showing her troops what they could accomplish as one people, united in a single cause. By the time the bulk of the army had arrived many had taken to her ideals truly to heart and began to renounce their old clans. Once Concord Dawn had come to heel, they would truly unite under the name of their commander and Clan Eldar was born.

Over the years Clan Eldar would begin to continue to act as scouts and forward operators. The clan would also begin to produce some of the finest hunters and trackers in the Mandalorian army and fell even more into their niche as the first to have boots on the ground. They would also begin to become adept at guerrilla warfare and used these tactics to further destabilize planets before full invasions. Their armor would begin to take on more natural colors to help blend into the wilds and wilderness of the planets they invaded. Though the choice of these colors would later have deeper meaning for the clan.

After the crusades however, Clan Eldar began to suffer. The still young Clan Eldar would help during the Shogon uprising, but would suffer heavy casualties in the conflict. These deaths would include their beloved leader Tulk'va. This loss along with the death of Mandalore the Conquer devastated the morale of Clan Eldar who would limp back to Concord Dawn, their birthplace, and rebuild. The civil war would then ensue and Houses Kryze and Vizla would approach Clan Eldar and appeal to them to join their respective war efforts. The ideals of their previous Mandalore and Tulk'va still held a firm grasp over the Eldars. The staunchly refused to become involved and remained neutral. The clan believed that the civil war was a waste of Mandalorian lives, lives that could be used in furthering the cause of the Mando'a as a whole.

The other clans would honor Clans Eldar wishes for the most part as sometimes other clans would think to try and absorb the smaller clan. Each time these Clans would be reminded of the ferocity of Clan Eldar. Their neutrality would also be helped by the fact that the clan still held to the old ways of their nomadic ancestors and never stayed in the same place for more than a few weeks. Thus the clan was a bit difficult to track down.

As the civil war waned and Sith rose to power over the Mandalorian people, Clan Eldar would join their people in battle against the Jedi. The clan like many others didn't care much for their new Sith leaders and of course saw them as outsiders meddling in Mando'a business. The clan did however see the effect their new "Mandalore" had on the people and the Eldars knew that their people had been united in a singular cause in over a century. Thus they would fight for the Sith, kill for Sith, and follow their new laws. As long as it meant their people would be united once again.

The years following the purge saw Clan Eldar mostly returning to business as usual. Many members of the clan continued their work as scouts or hunters for hire. Even including bounty hunting. As time went on the clan would begin to adapt, producing far more standard foot soliders than scouts as the Sith began to utilize Mandalorians less and less.

This pattern would continue of course until the whispers of revolution would begin to spread among the Mando'a. The glassing of Medriass being the final push into full blown revolt. Clan Eldar as always would fight with their brothers and sisters and hoped that this would once again be another time their people would come together and fight for a single cause.

There actions however would not go unpunished. The small clan would be hit hard by a raid of Imperials as revenge for the clans actions. Many died, but hope would come in the form of Clan Solus. The Clan would help the Eldars evacuate to a safer location. Clan Eldar had no formal leaders but one man Vax Eldar would strike and accord with Clan Solus, the clans would be allies as the war moved forward. Many of the Eldar protested but Vax would assure them that now was time to come together with their fellow Mandalorians. Glory and vengeance would soon be upon them, and fighting beside their brothers and sisters was the only path to it.

Culture

Typical Eldar Scout.
Clan Eldar is seen by many other clans to be idealists. Eldars do not see this however. They simply believe that the Mandalorian people have always been nigh unstoppable when united. They still understand however that conflict is the Mandalorian way, just that said conflict should always come from the outside, be it the environment or an enemy. They detest the spilling of fellow Mando'as blood unless necessary and strive to be an example of what a united Mandalorian people can be.

Clan also differs as they have no assigned leaders. They feel that no one person can ever live up to the ideal set by their ancient founder Tulk'va. So most matters among the clan are decided democratically with most members getting a chance to voice their opinion on the matter at hand. Though the voice of older more experienced members tend to carry more weight.

The Clan also strongly holds to a more nomadic lifestyle than even your typical Mandolarian clan. Only remaining in the same area for a few weeks. They believe this keeps their senses sharper and it always them to better understand their home Concord Dawn on a more intimate level.

The clan is also renowned for producing some of the finest scouts, hunters, and trackers in Mandalorian space. In recent years even producing fine foot soldiers trained in wilderness warfare and guerrilla tactics.

Roster
As stated Clan Eldar does not have formal leaders. After the events of the start of the war however has risen to essentially be the voice of the clan, Vax Eldar. The man was reluctant to take such a role, but after what his people had been through he decided it would be an honor to be the speaker from his clan. Though the old ways still held true for some with some beginning to refer to his as their Alor or leader.

Speaker(Alor to some):
Vax Eldar

Members:
Corrine Eldar
Gilum Yorix Eldar (NPC)

Color and Sigil

Clan Eldars colors are Green and Black, though many choose to add some more color for a personal touch or wear colors they prefer. These colors reflect the clans ideal of duty to the Mandalorian people as a whole and their willingness to bring justice to any who would threaten them. These colors also hearken back to the clans roots as scouts and hunters.

Their Sigil is that off a strill, chosen long ago to represent the clans ferocious loyalty to the Mandalorian cause and their skill and ability as trackers and hunters. Though many also say that Eldar's tend to have a rather "overt" odor much like the strills that the sigil is based on.

Assets: Nothing but a few freighters and fighters as the clan still staunchly holds to the values of being as nomadic as possible and not setting down roots.

Relations
Allies with Clan Solus due to Solus' aid early in the war.

Neutral with most other Mandalorian clans and houses.

Enemies of the Sith Empire as whole, but far more likely to go after Imperial Republica.

Intent

To act as the official site write up for Clan Eldar as there is zero information about them elsewhere. Also to provide a home for any Mandalorian players who wanted a clan identity but not necessarily the rivalries that come along with other Clans. I plan on keeping track of any players who decide to roll Clan Eldar here as well.
