For much of Chena’s early life, her feet never truly touched the ground. High in the apartment complexes of Ro Station, she would admire the elegant solemnity of the skyscrapers. They were more beautiful than the muggy swamps of her home, perhaps even the rolling mountains of Naboo she had seen in the holo-documentaries when she studied for her scholastic medal. They were the product of someone's mind, and the intelligence and efficiency built into the city made it a work of art. Having never seen the seedy underbelly of Ro Station, Chena was unexperienced in the way of the streets.
Since little was more motivating to the pantoran than working a high-stakes, high reward, high profile job, recruiters from Pantoran City Security picked her up quickly. At twenty-two, she graduated with honors from the Pantoran Security Officer Academy. The officer has more textbook information than she could ever use, but had little practical training other than how to distribute parking tickets, which she got bored with incredibly quickly. Little was more dangerous for the pantoran government than an understimulated and overthinking specially trained officer, so after several unwarranted arrests, overreach of jurisdiction, and creative use of allocated funds, PCS issued a reassignment to the Sector Rangers simply to get her out of their hair.
The Ranger's numbers were dwindling, especially in the upper ranks, so Chena enthusiastically stepped into her new position as replacement Captain. Her incident report from the first few weeks was remarkably clean, indicating that perhaps the job might keep her healthily occupied, at least for the time being.
PERSONALITY
Years of schooling and training made Chena cut-throat, and she struggles to see her peers as anything but competition. However, she thrives in positions of power and works efficiently and fairly. Additionally, she is loyal to those she believes want or need her. When given a something to do, Chena reliably not only does it, but does it well.
Much to the shock of many of her professional acquaintances, the pantoran works hard and parties harder. Climbing the ladder of corporate success is stressful, and while caf and adrenaline are what keep the woman running at maximum efficiency, she prefers to unwind in good company with a drink in hand. Rumor has it that in her early twenties, Chena would entertain the cantina-goers with drunk calculus lectures.
In short: ambition first, fun second, pride third, and everything else falls somewhere behind (unless, of course, it affects the most important things).
