Chatbox Suggestions - The answer is "no"

The staff cannot begin to relay to you how many times it's suggested that we get a chat box, also known as a "c-box". If you're thinking of posting that suggestion, please be aware of our answer: it's a resounding "NO".

Chat boxes are totally counter productive. And, let us tell you, anyone that says "Cbox gives your website an edge over the rest. It attracts visitors and keeps them coming back for more." are feeding you a bold-faced lie. Chat boxes are site killers, and don't tell us that it's not because we've been around long enough to know that and witness it happen dozens of times. Here's the order of events:

1. Chat box is installed
2. Chat box is used more and more
3. Chat box is used so much that OOC gets neglected
4. Chat box is used even more that RPing gets neglected
5. Site dies because there's only a chat box and people realize they can just use an instant messenger.

To make this long story short: it's never going to happen. We will lock any suggestion thread regarding this because even though the members of this site could discuss this until they're blue in the face, the staff will never approve it. If people want to chat outside of the main discussion boards, we recommend Discord. There are SWRP channels there, as well as the ability to talk to people one on one.
