Character Sexuality

On a PG-13 Star Wars website. It might seem like there is no place for such a sexy word. Yet, I think we all know that sexy and provocative things can make a nerd's world go round. From choosing looky-looky avatars to writing out prose that sizzles with sex appeal. Fan writing has a ton of charged themes just waiting to be explored by the most naughty of imaginations. Still... The bar remains. Keep it clean for the kiddos people. So we make due and try new things. We allude or we restrict ourselves. We fade to black or we shift the thread to Email. We mark our character's preferences on their profiles or we abstain from dating threads altogether. We get creative. Yet. We keep the spirit of the rules intact.

So with that in mind. Here's another question for ya SWRP,

  • Q: In a PG-13 environment, how do you as an author prefer to navigate or explore Character Sexuality?

Usually just fade to black. It's usually pretty clear to anyone reading what's about to happen and the naughty details don't really need to be there, nor am I really interested in RPing that with someone. XD

I'm not ashamed to admit that finding out you were a dude IRL was part of the reason for that. Writing some sexy lady times with a lady is different than writing sexy lady times with a dude who may or may not... *ahem* You know.

A lot of members use 'fade to black' or may skip ahead and have the character 'wake up' with their partner, or imply something more happened.

As long as you don't go into explicit detail, you should be fine.

I think:

Innuendo,
Fade to black
Wake up next to partner

That way Disney is happy, and by extension, we are all happy.
