Character-Faction Approval

I'm sorry if this has been answered somewhere or if it's as obvious as just wait for it but how does one go about requesting approval for a character(profile) or applying for a faction? I'm just a little hazy on whether I'm supposed to do something or if the staff automatically gives you the good-to-go, a-okay, riceroni-macaroni.

Posting the character profile is application enough. The Character mods will get to it in due time.
