Okay, I've been wanting to create my characters, but I have some things I want to make sure I have cleared up before I go about posting them.
1. I heard you can only have one character in a major faction at a time. Does that mean I can have two Siths, or two Jedi? What about a Jedi/padawan or a Sith/Sith Acolyte? The reason I ask is from observing other's profiles.
2. I saw somewhere there seemed to be a post that said if your character is a Sith, they are not encouraged to have a past as a previous Jedi. (Padawan) So if I create my character with a Jedi past, and turn her Sith, would that be aloud? And if so, am I able to begin her from an Independent Faction, and as she grows, update it to the Sith Brotherhood?

1: It's true, unfortunately. You are only allowed to be in one faction at a time. You can have any two of your three characters in one, and yes you can go with a Padawan/Knight or Acolyte/Sith combo. Some people like to have that lower ranked character so they have something to play around with just in case their Knight/Sith might not be clicking with them.

2: I have seen a few instances where Jedi backgrounds aren't encouraged by members of the Jedi faction leadership. Other times (for example my Sith Lord), the idea seems to skate by with little issue. In either event, it's probably best to check in with @Bauren or @Elijah Brockway before moving ahead too much father with that idea.

So far as starting your character in an Indie faction goes, I've seen very few problems with that. Just be sure to contact the leaders of said faction to get their approval beforehand.

Hope that answered your questions.
