Character arc quick suggestions?

I joined a couple days ago and want to get started on some characters as soon as possible, anyone have some cool suggestions? Just quick, who they are, what they're doing and where they hope to end up at. Such as, escaped hutt slave surviving on petty thievery while looking for a way to take revenge. Or a pretty young boy/girl searching for their older brother/sister who was a Jedi and went into hiding. (both ideas based on impending timeline plans, at least what I've read so far.)

Any advice will be considered, kind of want to do two characters that are close to each other and role play them as a team, perhaps writing from one or the others point of view depending on the thread, or both in the same thread! This is intended to be a collaborative brain storm on characters since there seems to be a lot of us new guys/gals who could probably benefit from this as well :D
