Where do you people find pictures of your characters? Because, for the love of god, I cannot ever find anything remotely science-fictiony that looks any good!

Also, if you link me to a bunch of porn sites, I shall be cross.

Most of the character pics I have for my characters are screenshots from games where I make my own character(Mass Effect, Kotor, Oblivion, The Movies).

From what I can tell most people just use pics of their favourite actors, musician, and pornstars. If your character's alien though I guess you could take a camera out to your local swamp.

Some articles on wookieepedia have links to an 'image database' of the subject. I used one of those pages to find pics of my Jawa char back in the day. Would be good for alien chars.

As Sabre said, if your char is human, pick a celebrity or something.

Other than what has been said above, I look for video game artwork and wallpapers of characters that suit what I'm looking for in a character.

Anyway I use the star wars art website thingy (name and url escapes me at the moment but you could probably google it with starwars art

I usually draw mine, but otherwise I use google.

planet renders, deviantart, swag, google, concept art from games, shots of celebrities from fan sites, and the site as a last resort.

I also strongly suggest getting photoshop if you don't have it. Even minor edits to an image make a big difference as to how the character is initially percieved when reading their profile.
