In the dead of night Lauren Pete's ship landed in the grain fields of his farmstead where he had spent his childhood. He came rolling out of the shuttle in his wheelchair and quickly made his way to the front door of his home. His mother had been waiting for him in the doorframe as he made his approach waited patiently for his son's return. Her hair was a mess and her eyes where bloodshot from the stress. She had sent Lauren mutliple messages that his father had been abducted after his ops mission behind enemy lines. She bent down to give her son a long hug. This had been the first time they saw each other in years. since his depature and never got the chance to say goodbye. Finally, she broke out into tears. "I'll find him and bring him back." Lauren whispered before prying his mother off of his shoulder then turning away in his wheelchair and pushed forward trampling over the grain and back to his shuttle.

The Jedi Knight knew his duty and the Sith responsible would be punished for his crimes. He took a shuttle to his father's last whereabouts of Ord Radama where he was on an espionage mission. He had thought his father was involved in petty crime stopping, finding out he had been activily fighting the Sith weighed heavily on his heart. The Sith were ruthless and could only imagine the horrors he was going through.

Once touching down on the industrialized world, Lauren needed information and knew where to find it. On the planet was a prominent crime syndicate of humans and devlikks that illegally export minerals and bypass imperial tariffs. Someone must have had contact with his father, the syndicate being a reliable source of information in regards to knowing how the empire choses to export their goods. But first Lauren needed to contact them and the most reliable way was to join their ranks in the prison system.

Leaving his specialized wheelchair behind on a rented ship on the outskirts of the city, Lauren propped himself up with crutches and began to travel to the nearest bank hundreds of miles away. Opening the door inside of the large crowded bank, he brandished a blaster rifle from underneath his robe. Before he could even lift it up into the air he was quickly taken down by three muscular security guards. The three of them cuffed and beaten him with electrical batons beofre taking him away.

Lauren appeared infront of a judge, pleaded guilty and was sent to three years in a correctional facility. All planned of course, Lauren already had plans to escape. Before hand he watched from orbit security blind spots in the central courtyard and escape routes . He was allowed to keep his crutches and was issued a cell the next day. Fifteen days in prison passed, Lauren was sitting crossed-legged in his cell meditating when a guard slipped him a letter where normally he had been recieving his food. The lettter read simply: Meet us in the laundry room at dusk fellow patriot. A smirk appeared on the Knight's face as he whispered to himself that night. "Just as planned."

"Ugh"

Fiyero groaned as he splashed a toss of water from his canteen to his face. Luckily the hot weather was forgiving, a slight breeze picked up. On the downside, science teaches that heat rises. From his position perched on the open roof of an apartment building, Fiyero could confirm the science personally. He scrambled to perch himself in a squatting position, balancing on the tips of his toes since the pavement of the roof apparently absorbed enough heat from the sun to be felt through his pants. If only he had on his robes. The thick fabric of the standard Jedi-wear would've done the trick nicely. However, today rendered the necessity of a stealth mission. So he just wore utilitarian clothes and stared downward at his feet in patience until he would he would receive a com-link call.

The waiting game shouldn't be that much longer, once Lauren got the information necessary...something he promised wouldn't take more than a day...he would organize an escape and meet Fiyero at the front.

For now it was just a waiting game. The padawan looked up into the distance, the correctional facility not far. This apartment is really placed terribly, the padawan thought. So close to a prison...the rent is probably cheap.

For nearly two weeks Lauren patiently waited for that letter. Everyday his father's trail grew even more cold, but now was his time to strike. Through deep meditation and concentration, LP toyed with the locks and tumblers of his lonely cell, fashioning himself a key from the odd assortment of objects he had found in the prison courtyard. Held together by wire, twigs, and toothpaste LP slid the makeshift key into the ancient cell. The cell door creaked open as Lauren slid his slender body through and like a clumbsy shadow made his way to the laundry room making sure he was not seen. Placing his hand on the cold metal doorknob, the Jedi stumbled through the crowded laundry room, finally tripping on his sagging pants and landing face first into the ground.

Two extremely large and husky men picked him up by both arms and lifted him off the ground putting him back on his feet. A small funny looking alien approached the Jedi, handing his crutches to one of his henchmen. A look of terror appeared on LP's face when the Devlikk male motioned to his men, once again lifting him into the air, sitting him down once again in a rolling chair. They tore off the upper half of his prison jumpsuit. The Devlikk grabbed a long branding iron from the furnace with a small insigna on its end. Pointing the smoldering peice of metal at Lauren's face the Devlikk asked, "Are you willing to join the Red Iron Sights? To free us from slavery and to abide by our tenants?"

"Yes, yes sir."

Lauren said trembling in fear. "Good." the Devlikk man said codly before pushing the branding iron into the Jedi's face slightly below his left eye The searing pain coursed through the Jedi's body as another man held his face in place. The pain was enough to send the knight unconscious. When he awoke LP found himself in an unfamiliar cell across from a rather fat man enjoying a succulant steak and fine wines. The cell had to be three times bigger than the average cell with armed security just outside its bars. "Mr. Pete, I'm honored to have you on our team. I am aware you are trying to escape. Tell me about that."

"I have all exits and guard routines scheduled and mapped. Me and about twelve others can make our escape unnoticed. All we need is a distraction."

The crime boss nodded his head as Lauren explained the details of his plan, in exchange asked for information on his father. The boss explained that he couldn't access who came to and from the planet while locked up , but once they were free he would contact him. Lauren returned to his cell and awaited the signal.

As the knight sat crossed-legged in his cramped dingy cell, he jumped up as he heard several alarms go off at once, LP watched as he saw several guards run down the hallway as multiple fights broke out. Assuming this was the distraction the fat man was talking about, Lauren opened the cell door and slid back out. As fast as he could , Lauren limped past the gaurds and brawling inmates towards the rally point, a blind spot in the courtyard between a lone guard post where the fat man and a few other inmates were waiting. The fat man motioned towards Lauren to hurry up before squeezing through the hole with his henchmen following suit.

Running as fast as he could without tripping over his own crutches a prison guard quickly spotted the escape attempt and tackled Lauren to the concrete ground before pulling out his shock baton and beating him with it. The Jedi tried his best to resist, but was quickly overpowered. LP caught a glimpse of the crime boss looking back at Lauren before fleeing. All he could do now was hope his contact realized what was happening and come to save him.
