Tagus had been busy during his trip to Korriban, since learning of the actions and the consequences on a single planet by the last Empress of the Sith Empire. It had been days since then and he had spent that time wisely.

He had barely slept but it would be worth it.

The broadcast was simple in it's appearance; it was stated to be an announcement so important that it interrupted regularly scheduled programming throughout the Galaxy. All across the Empire and beyond, people would be able to see it, to watch as a holonet announcement heralded history in the making once again.

The broadcast started with Tagus, sat upon the darkened, tarnished, throne of the Sith Empire with his circlet atop his head and his Sith mask firmly in place.

"The actions of Aadya Drast have rocked the Empire to it's core and now a man sits atop a throne, upon your viewscreens, wearing a crown." He reached up and took the crown off of his head before doing the same with his mask, holding one in each hand, "I am Darth Tagus, formerly Zeven Visz the Sith Crusader - and prior to that, Zeven Visz the Slave."

Here he paused for a second.

"It occurs to me that before she became The First Empress, Andraste was similar. A Sith, formerly an Exile and a slave warrior before that as well if legends hold true." he dropped his mask to the floor carelessly, "A Drast pulled herself and her people to great heights and made them paragons. She formed the Sith and gave them purpose; to use the power of the Dark Side to break the chains that bound us and the chains that bound our peoples. Over the generations this has been lost; Drast after Drast has resembled their ancestor less and less until they stand for nothing but an uncontrolled lust for power. They lost their way and the Empire lost itself alongside them."

He idly played with the circlet crown in his hand.

"The Empire was a tool to help the Sith free themselves and the Galaxy from a corrupt system that did not care for them; and now the Empire is that same corrupt system writ large. It falls to me, the slave turned Sith, turned Emperor, to do what The First Empress did before me and overthrow the crooked and decayed system." He did not smile and he did not flinch as he spoke, "Effective immediately, the Sith Empire is hereby dissolved by the command of it's Last Emperor. Independence will be restored to all planets within it's boundaries."

Tagus had sent his terms to the leaders upon his arrival on Korriban a few hours ago. The majority of responses had been, well, surprised of course but many had welcomed it. Some (Korriban, Moraband, Zoist and Dromund Kaas) had requested to remain under Sith rule and supervision due to the overwhelming majority of the population being Sith in nature. Others (Naboo and Hoth) were planets where the majority of the population was Imperial personnel due to their almost hidden nature (Naboo) and their environmental hostility (Hoth).

The circlet fell to the floor and Tagus' Sith mask rose into the air by use of the Force to affix itself to his face once again.

"The Sith Order shall be held in my control as I assume control as The Lord of the Sith, alongside a Dark Lord of my choosing. Together, brothers and sisters, we shall focus on the changes that need to be made to be what it we were before and what we can be again."

One last remark before the announcement ended.

"Together, we shall break our chains."

Narir heard about the announcement after most other people had, and when he went back to watch it, it just made him spitting mad. This was just another dirty trick. Last time they'd seemed to extend an olive branch there'd been death and destruction rained down on his people. No, Narir refused to believe it or relent from his hunting the Sith. Fool me once, shame on you. You won't fool me again, he thought to himself.

It was either a trick to lure the Mandalorians into a sense of relief or it was a move to run and hide from the coming wrath. Either way, the Sith still had debts to pay. Many, many debts and Narir intended to collect.

For a moment, though, he paused. He considered for a second that the broadcast might have been legitimate. That same slight hope had struck him when the United Protectorate was announced, but it had been false. But if it were true this time, then it meant the war was over. The Empire who had placed so many under oppression and chains was gone. The Mandalorians - who had started so small all those years ago - had become a force to be reckoned with and actually thrown off the enemy that had been crushing them for centuries.

Hide in your dark holes, Sith. I'm still coming for you, he said. He wouldn't be fooled again. Even if everyone else decided for peace, Narir would be vigilant. He wasn't going to lose any more friends to their lies.

Darth Perilius paced within his ship as he heard the news. As expected, his new Emperor made an announcement, declaring the dissolution of the Sith Empire. At first he felt rather sour about it, but as he contemplated it, he found it a brilliant concept.

“Yes yes... our new Order shall rise.. These terroristic better come to an end now... I shall defend again the terrorists from the Galactic Alliance and particularly the Mandolorians. Maybe they’ll get the message that we defend ourselves and attack whenever provoked...” Perilius said calmly as he set his ship for Dromund Kass.

He was ready to defend the Order from the true evil and lead it into a new stage of succession. He and the other Darths alongside the Dark Lords had the Order aligned, and now it was time to hide in the shadows to rebuild and reorganize into a greater force.

Amur was toiling away, she had decided to head to Serenno. A planet that was once the seat of the Empire. She was taking in the sights and sound but really it was the old remains of the Andraste throne room she was interested in. Seeing it's rather well maintained state she decided to sit in it. Really it wasn't to satiate any ego but rather to try and channel the old remains of the Sith presence. The Sith shut her eyes and started to open herself to the force trying to suck up any energy that was last seen in this thing.

She felt a surge of old emotions and energy coil up through her body and flashes of what looked to potential be an old Sith meeting... maybe. She would have to return at a later date when she was much more powerful in the Force. Still it was an interesting glance at what the Empire once was... What it should be. She got out a datapad and started to write down well she initially didn't know but it was quickly turning into a declaration of rebellion. Sometimes you plotted away at each word and other times you just let them flow and it was flowing like a torrent. She was going to write it and then work to secure Serenno as her own.

Then as she was writing away something came up an announcement that was blowing up all over the Holonet. She watched and listened to it founding a surprise that someone had been echoing her words. It was uncanny. She didn't know what to think about Tagus having not encounter him and only hearing the occasion gossip relating to the passing of Darth Parox. Still she stopped and payed attention to what the words he had to say. At the very least if he turned out to be muttering falsehoods about his desire to change she would go ahead and use them to help better craft her plea and deface the Empire.

"Effective immediately, the Sith Empire is hereby dissolved by the command of it's Last Emperor. Independence will be restored to all planets within it's boundaries."

The words took a few seconds to fully register for the Acolyte and almost rebel. Her grip loosened and her datapad nearly dropped to the floor. The last emperor had thrown the biggest wrench imaginable and did something that no power crazed ruler would do... Give up that position of power. It was something she wasn't sure she was capable of doing though that certainly was a possibility. She was shocked and for once in her life felt... happy. Of course she was having another part of her in doubt that this was actually happening. It seemed like it could of been easily an elaborate hoax, for which the old corrupt ways would pursue. Still there was a part of her that hoped that it was indeed what she wanted.

A retreat, a rout to the shadows from which they could look over, Let the Mandalorians drink their victory, the Galactic Alliance corrupt and tie themselves down. This would be the time that the Sith could rediscover what rule of the Strong actually meant, stop cutting eachother down instead of Jedi and maybe rise again. If that was the case then she knew what plans she had. An idea she had formed in her head and wanted to incorporate. Something that she wanted to be her legacy. The Foundation of a new Sith rule that will do Andraste proud. She would save the speech and bury it deep in a secure compressed archive just in case she needed to resort to such measures and then worked to transmit a message to Darth Kados of her idea. Maybe it could reach the Lord of the Sith too and they could rebuild.

"Enjoy your spoils Mandalorians and Republics for may their tantalizing taste fill and poison you." She said to herself in the throne room she wondered what the First Empress would have thought about this... or that she may have been watching over the Acolyte. Who knew. This chapter of the Sith was coming to an end... but it was only the beginning of a new one. A far more powerful one at that.

Smoke rolled overhead, blacking out the otherwise clear morning sky. Fires raging all around, as the wreckage of small buildings crumbled to the heat and destructive force of the flames. Bodies lined the streets, some civilians but most wore the uniforms of imperial military or local militants. At the center of the carnage, in white and red armor, stood Dax. His trusted Westar rifle in hand.

As he looked around at the carnage and destruction he had brought to these people, he suddenly stared into the flames now consuming what had previously been a young Sith acolyte. He reflected on his years fighting the wizards. The liberation of Hutt space, the bombing of Coruscant. His short leadership of 'The Watch', marked by the capture and control of Ruusan and Kessel systems. Countless other battles on countless other worlds. The memories and images dancing threw his mind as the flames that danced around him.

Then came the thoughts of the lull, the poor attempt to float away and find a measure of peace. To let his body and his guns rest, while the rest of the galaxy pretended to play at peace. Only to allow the home of his people, his friends and comrades, to be glassed.

The smell of death and ash that he would never forget.

Dax was then suddenly pulled back from this day-mare prison of memories. One of his Marauders held out a datapad. The image of a green skinned pompous bantha's ass filled the tiny screen. Yammering on about Drast this and Drast that. "Bla bla bla", Dax mocked as he rolled his eyes under his t-visor. Dax would then push the hand away in disinterest until the words filled the air around him.

"Effective immediately, the Sith Empire is hereby dissolved by the command of it's Last Emperor. Independence will be restored to all planets within it's boundaries."

The commando laughed, perhaps for the first time since the last time he had partied with Raz and the rest of the badgers. He laughed so hard that he almost wet himself in his armor and the marauders turned her helmet obviously confused and perhaps a little worried.

Finally Dax gave a sigh of relief and turned to to young warrior. "The coward thinks we care about the core. That we Crusade for the sake of ruling the galaxy as they seek to. That we will be satisfied by his tail turning. No. Let him run, let them cower and crawl into their little caves in the worlds they call home. We will watch them burn as they did ours."

Dax turned around as the heard the moans of an imperial trooper taking perhaps his last breath. Pointing and activating the flamethrower on his gauntlet he watch as the fire rained over the trooper, and swallowed him up.

"Gather the others, it's time to go hunting."

Her fingers quietly strummed on the console as the holonet projected the breaking announcement from the Sith Empire, the face of the man she recognized from not too longer ago appeared as he made his commands. Arda was clearly stunned and yet confused at the same time, the move did not make sense, but yet it did at the same time. She understood from her own teachings as a learner that the dark side was a patient creature, it would wait until the time was right to fully rise once more against the Light and that was exactly what was happening now. However, she could not help but to think of the words from the ancient Jedi Wyck and his holocron teaching, speaking how things would eventually fall back into order as it possibly was doing now, but the Jedi Master questioned the wisdom of the frog holo projection then as she does now as nearly six centuries of fighting have passed and countless lives were lost because of the scuffles of beings and their abilities in the Force. It would only be a matter of time would the Sith and its followers would rise, strengthen and attack the Jedi Order and the democracy the UP wished to achieve.

What was evident now was the power vacuum, yes systems were to revert back to under independent rule, but many of these worlds relied on the unity of the Empire, and its government was no different. This could open paths for warlords and just as oppressive rulers to contain order on their worlds. The corruption of the Sith still existed, it would be an even longer and enduring effort to make sure that corruption is cleared an no longer a threat to the beings of the galaxy.

The holonet went back to its regular aired news reports and Arda found herself inhaling deeply, as though in those previous few moments, she had not breathed a single breath. A lieutenant beside her remained silent in her presence, waiting to relay orders. First Atlas and the resignation of the Empress, the UP moving to a republic, and now this...the Force did work in mysterious ways.

"Alert all cells, we are not finished with this war."

Jarek gazed out into the night through the window of his father's study, the Last Emperor's command playing on repeat behind him, the only illumination in the room. Fury churned within him, damped by a sense of loss. The Sith Empire was no more. The entity he had served ceased to be with the words of the alien Emperor, Zeven Visz, the slave.

Otherwise known as Darth Tagus, a title that Jarek could admit the alien had earned. A slave who had taken his freedom, claimed power, and reshaped the Sith in a moment, breaking the chains that bound the Sith to a crumbling empire. An Empire that Jarek had long felt bound to. A sense of duty to the people of the Empire that was suddenly relinquished.

Turning around, Jarek watched the recording as he considered this. Had he even cared for the people of the Empire, the fury churning within him made him doubt it. With no throne to serve, Jarek was free in a way, bound only to the darkside and those whose knowledge of its secrets was greater than his.

There would be chaos. The people of the galaxy would suffer without the structure of Sith Empire. Others would relish its absence, free to pursue their own ambitions. The Sith would be vulnerable to their enemies. And in that vulnerability the weak would be purged and the Sith Order would be forged anew.

Turning off the recording with a wave of his hand, Jarek stalked towards the door of the unlit study. He had returned to his father's home seeking to steal knowledge from him. But while he was there, he had a chain or two to break.
