DESCRIPTION​

A unique weapon to the Gungan, the Cesta is fashioned out of wood, and hand carved, usable as both a melee weapon or a launcher to cast boomas at a target. Essentially a larger version of the atlatl the cesta was tipped with a cradle that was large enough to hold a single booma. When used, it could be thrown with far greater accuracy that an atlatl, able to yeet (technical term) a booma to around 120 meters.

Because of their warlike culture, these weapons were a common sight within the armed forces of the Gungan people. It was common for the carvings on the cesta to hold specific and special meaning to its user, with survivors of battles sometimes inscribing the names of fallen comrades onto their weapons.

The weapon is not lightsaber resistant, because it is made out of wood.

LEGALITY​

Illegal outside of the Gungan Grand Army. This is considered a traditional weapon, and its use is frowned upon outside of the Naboo.
