CB-13 Assassin Rifle
Description:
Corval Bardok had this weapon custom-made for him when he was an assassin, and Avlin took it as her own when she fled Eriadu. It is made of durasteel in almost all parts except for the stock and grip, which are plasteel to slightly reduce weight. An integrated scope with 80x magnification is located at the top of the weapon, and there is a hardpoint for attaching a bipod on the front of the weapon. What makes this weapon special is its ability to be broken down into multiple parts for easy storage, concealment, etc. The blaster bolts are red, and the weapon's discharge sound is similar to that of a wailing creature. Another unique trait about this is its high damage and low rate of fire. Although the blaster has the ability to punch through most standard burn-resistant clothing and armor (depending on where the shot lands), its punch comes at a cost, which is its low rate of fire required to cycle through its processes and be ready for a follow-up. The idea behind it was that whoever was using it wasn't going to miss and have to worry about a follow-up. The blaster also has a precise laser rangefinder, though neither Bardoks that used the weapon have bothered enabling the function, as they prefer doing their own calculations.
Intent:This weapon was created with intent to be used strictly as a one shot, one kill sniper weapon, powerful enough to render most armor ineffective, provided the shot lands on target. I also wanted to create something that was a more personalized weapon than many weapons that can be bought. This is also made to show as one of Av Bardok's only few personal possessions, and help expand upon her personality IRP.
