[ASK] Caught Blue Handed
Location
: Nar Shaddaa
Description: The Hutts pride themselves on the power they have. Their knowledge is power and if they don't know something it is irksome for them until they change these circumstances. Go to Nar Shaddaa and see if you can inquire about the trade smuggling of items and see where it leads. Get as many details and use your wits. Santhe trading, Diamond Teeth activities, Sith presence, etc.
1st Objective: Get information of the transition of the plans.
2nd Objective: Stay out of combat
Participants: Shiro Yama Fett, Taomwata Carcharo
Risk: Moderate - Nar Shaddaa is a rough place but as long as no fights are started there shouldn't be trouble.
Walking down the stench filled street in an makeshift and an brown hood, a dark haired human looked kept calmed as he maintained a normal pace in the midst of the crowd, walking around him.

Nar Shaddaa is still the same old piss hole of the galaxy, despite everything. I should’ve be surprised, given who runs this world.

Shiro thought, shaking his head. Years before joining the Republic, he had been a bounty hunter and worked here for sometime before moving away. He turned a glance toward his companion on the left to him, the fearsome Taomwata Carcharo. They worked together before on a remote world, killing some Imperial staggers. The alien hybrid was a force of nature, someone you can count on in an firefight, but Shiro Yama Fett did wonder if the big guy was suited for this uncover op.

“So big man, ever been here before?”

The human warrior asked as they both took a right onto the next corner.

Theme

Nar Shadda, a planet filled to the brim with hut'uun. The putrid smog that permeated the air polluted only more by the noises of the cities and their bright lights. He reluctantly inhaled before exhaling in a sigh. While he was a humongous mass of muscle and teeth Taomwata was not necessarily out of place in such an environment. Thugs of all shapes and sizes came to this location for various reasons and as long as he acted accordingly the locals would be none the wiser.

To enucrage such assumptions he wore a studded leather jacket and simple combat trousers like many ex-military operators did in the private world. His attire was complimented by the weaponry he bore. A customized MD-12 as his sidearm with a bandoleer of ammunition to match. He did not bring his meteor heavy repeater on this mission, it was not meant to be a combat operation and his body itself could do enough damage. In addition the heavy repeater was a rare sight in these parts and people could pick him out as a mandalorian if they recognized the weapon.

"Once." he said simply. The crowd gave way a meter or so ahead of them as they pushed through. "I'm not a big fan." His dark, soulless eyes reflected little light from the city but took in the sights as well as possible leads. Most ecumenopoleis had places to look for information, it was just a matter of time before the duo found what they were looking for. "You?"

“A few times. Easy to find work here but like you I wouldn’t want to live here.”

Shiro answered, appreciating the distance that their appearance had caused from the surrounding populace. Such an effect made it easier for them to reach their first destination within several minutes. Opposite from the sidewalk they were on, the ex-Republic soldier spotted a run down three story gray building that seen better days. Most of the widows were closed up with metal bars, except for the two down below, flanking the door in the center. There was a sign board, written in both Huttese and Basic with the words ‘Clovi’s Wares of Wonders’.

Chuckling for a moment, Shiro turned again to his comrade and explained.

“Let’s just say I’m quite familiar with the owner...surprised that his shop is still running after all these years. Just a heads up Clovi Ve is a greedy and whiny bit of shit. Despite...his nature, Clovi does know a good deal about the smuggling business, since that how he gets most of his goods. It will take some effort on our effort, but we can make him talk.”

With a single wave of his right arm toward Toamwata, Shiro made way across the street toward the shop.

The hybrid took lumbering steps making no effort to dampen his tred. One could feel his steps from meters away even with the bustle. It was not long before Shiro had led them to a possible lead for this mission. The building they went to did not look very structurally sound so he made a mental note of that for future use. Taomwata probably could just breach the door without any explosive assistance if he wanted but he might cause part of the building to collapse.

Before going further the human spoke about their contact. Taomwata's black eyes just looked at Shiro as he spoke. He did not really have a mental picture of the contact though he seemed like the sort of fellow that was in quantity on the planet. The mandalorian giant would simply nod and they would resume towards the building.

Simply walking in Taomwata looked around. Everything within view was either gaudy or unimpressive. Bootlegged commodities and dressed up normal items lay about the place. They were meant to attract the eye and swindle the gullible. Taomwata was more likely to trust a 'pet me' sign next to a rancor rather than any of these products. Looking over his shoulder he waited for Shiro to lead the way since he might have an inkling of how to approach or where to find this Clovi character.

Clovi still seem to be cheating folks with crap like before.

Shiro noted at the merchandise, walking in the store with his parnther. Moments later, they approached the counter in the center of the establishment, awaiting them was an old Gran male in greesy stained brown jacket and green pants. The subject in question was messing with a holoprojector, viewing speeders and ships of various types. On closer examination, the two Mandos would noticed one of the Gran’s three eyes(right side) was missing and an envious expression fixed firmly on his face.

Hearing the footsteps at last, Clovi looked up in startled realization at the two arrivals. Raising both arms up and begged pathetically.

“Listen guys I told Morga I would pay up later, just give me more time.”

Rolling his eyes at the display, Shiro removed his hood and replied.

“Jumpy as ever Clovi. I’m surprised your shop is still standing after all these years.”

Confused Clovi narrowed eyes to look at the human before exclaiming in utter shock.

“Hutt spit, Shiro?! I thought you were dead.”

“Sorry to disappoint ya old man but I’m kicking.”

Rubbing greasy hands in nervousness, Clovi then asked.

“So you’re back in the business?”

Shiro shrugged his shoulders in respond.

“More or less. I’m looking for some info on an business organization called Sathe. They just acquired some certain from mercs of the Diamond Teeth. Would you happen to know anything about that?”

Clovi, sensing a new opportunity crossed his arms over the chest with a greedy smirk.

“I may know something about that for...a price.”

“How much?”

“Thirty thousand cedits, no less.”

Snorting at the outrageous demand, Shiro turned toward Taomata.

“He’s all yours. Make him lower the price tag.”

The former republic soldier smirked, knowing the scare fest that Clovi was in for with Taomata.
