NAME: Carth Renz

FACTION: Sith Empire

RANK: Sith

SPECIES: Human

AGE: 27

GENDER: Male

FORCE SENSITIVE:
Force Sensitive; his backstory will explain a lot more. The force is the only thing he has. He has minimal saber skills (due to his injury, see below) and relies solely on using his force ability. His anger after everything that happened to him is what fuels this. He is extremely powerful, but not as powerful as he possibly could be.

APPEARANCE:
Carth was once and athletic man; slim built, tall (roughly about 6'2). His skin was once a pinkish colour, with his hair being shoulder length and very dark brown. His eyes were piercing blue, until his turn to the Dark Side. To the human eye, Carth now looks like a man that has ligament problems. This is because his appearance has been altered heavily. Whilst still slim-built and athletic, his whole body is out of proportion. He lost both is arms and a leg in a huge battle several years ago which caused severe damage to his body. His arms and a leg have been replaced with robotics; which aren't perfect. Carth doesn't have access to a top-notch medical droid; he has a loyal Protocol droid, who was happy to help Carth repair his body. However the protocol droid didn't specialise in robotics in anyway, shape, or form. The robotic leg was longer than his human leg, meaning that Carth continuously with a slight limp. He wears black gloves over his robotic arms, to stop any enemies of his seeing the weakness he harbours. Carth's body wasn't the only thing that was destroyed in his battle. His face was damaged also; having part of the skin torn away from his body, Carth suffered a major set-back. He now wears a white mask, which conceals his scarred face from people he comes across. It makes him a more intimidating foe; however his battle abilities are limited due to the damages he sustained.

ATTRIBUTES:
Carth's abilities are a complicated discussion. The way he presents himself and the way he portrays his weaknesses, strengths and everything else depend person, to person. He strives for main goals and sticks to them; he very rarely gets sidetracked by anything or anyone and this makes him a determined foe for anyone. Following his injuries; his only strength's rely on his use of the force. Being damaged in battle has hindered his ability to become a full force user because it requires a lot of energy. The energy that Carth has is now channelled into his use of the force and in some ways, that makes him an incredibly powerful asset for the Dark Side. One of Carth's biggest flaws and in fact, the reason he turned to the dark side in the first place, is his ability to hold onto grudges for long periods of time. If someone wrongs him, he will never forget and will continuously seek revenge, this means that despite the fact he doesn't get sidetracked from anything he does, his sole purpose is to exact revenge on people who have wronged him. It's only as he experiments more with the dark side that he starts to want more, however. Power is addictive and Carth's personality is obsessive to say the least. He obsesses to get what he wants; he obsesses to complete missions; he obsesses to learn more about the Dark Side and so on. Carth may have a huge draw back physically, but one of the areas he continues to exceed in is his ability to manipulate others. It's not something he would do for the sake of it, it has to have some sort of gain for himself - but if needs be, he has the ability to portray himself as weak. His current appearance gains much sympathy from people that don't know him; they believe he's just a simple cripple, which is exactly what Carth uses to his advantage. Because of this, people do tend to overestimate Carth, but it works to his advantage. When it comes to his strength; years ago when he started training, Carth found his strength was simply above average. Average because majority of what he was taught, he often failed because his pain tolerance wasn't all that strong. When he went into battle with some Jedi, he was more confident, but the injuries he sustained caused his strength to weaken. Since his robotic replacement limbs were fitted, with no help for pain or anything to make the suffering he endured better; Carth's strength and pain threshold have only increased. He's simply learned to live with his pain, which means any kind of injury, depending on the severity of it, wouldn't really affect him as much as it would do.

PERSONALITY:
Cold, calculated and extremely bitter are the only words that could describe Carth. He blames everyone and everything for his own set-backs and remains arrogant about his abilities of the force. Having suffered from being very young, hatred and vengeance are the only thing that fuels his feelings. Carth is extremely obsessive and he doesn't get sidetracked from his main mission, no matter what it is. His path for vengeance is what makes him strong with the Dark side, but the love of his Mother is what made him want to defeat his Father in the first place. He is extrmely loyal to his companions though, his protocol droid is always protected by Carth as he believes droids can be better companions than humans as they lack human feelings and emotions, which means they can't let you down in any way. In many ways, his feeling for his protocol droid is the only display of humanity Carth has left.

BIOGRAPHY:
Carth Renz was a talented child; his family were the perfect example of happiness on their home-planet of Alderaan. Many people saw the Renz family as the perfect family; hard working Father, Mother who's only ambition was to care for her child - but this was a lie. Behind the closed door of their small home on Alderaan, Carth's Father, Kandori Renz, was a violent man and often mistreated his wife and son. He wasn't a force wielder by any means, but there were many times that he appeared more frightening to Carth than any Sith possibly could at the time and this is what initiated Carth's draw to the Dark Side; he wanted to defeat his Father. Still only a teenager, Carth eventually turned to one of his neighbours on Alderaan; confiding in them about his Father's abusive ways and actions, he believed they would help Carth and his Mother; but it was not meant to be. The neighbours simply saw Carth as a trouble maker and informed his Father, causing him to beat Carth once again; by this point, Carth was emotionally disturbed by everything that was going on at home, he saw his Mother cry every night due to his Father's abuse and this was the ultimate vision that fuelled Carth with hatred and anger. Eventually Carth ran away from home; he believed it was his only choice to avoid his Father's grasp - he left his Mother a note, explaining that he would one day return for her.

Whilst homeless, Carth continued to fend for himself, often fuelled by hatred against his Father, he made it his mission to discover a way to defeat him. He had learnt of the extraordinary power that the Jedi had, so he became to research everything he knew about them and gain as much knowledge as he could. It was then, however, that Carth discovered that the Jedi operated in peace and that giving into their anger was something they didn't want to do - this was no good for Carth; he didn't want to let go of his pain, it was the only thing that fulled him. Carth spent many days mixed amongst the villainy of the Alderaan system - it was here that his life would change for the better, which was something he was deliberately seeking. He discovered a middle-aged man who had promised to teach him the ways of the force; he had explained to Carth that the Dark Side operated solely on an act of anger and that they were superior to the Jedi in so many ways, he told Carth that it wouldn't be easy - he was right. Carth went through months and months of training; channelling his anger into his power, visualising his Father's death was the only thing that would help him use the force properly; his need to extract revenge was exactly what Carth required to continue to grow and it worked. He could feel himself getting stronger and stronger by the day; so much so that he was starting to see things differently; he wasn't just angry at his Father, he was angry at the people of Alderaan for turning a blind eye to his Father's antics and behaviour - he wanted revenge, not just on him, but on everyone that knew about his Father's behaviour; the only person that escaped Carth's wrath was his Mother, the thought of laying in bed crying every night was something that kept Carth's humanity somewhat in tact.

After almost five years of extreme training and hardly any contact with people beyond himself and his Master, Carth decided to return to his home to confront his Father - he had been provided with a lightsaber; the thought of the glowing red impaled through his Father's body made Carth fill with excitement. Upon arrival at his old home, he had discovered that it was now occupied by other people - it was then that he discovered that his Father and Mother were killed recently, they were caught up in a battle between a Sith and a Jedi that had entered Alderaan, there was a struggle near the centre of town and the Jedi accidentally caused an explosion, which destroyed the Sith but also everyone within it's area. After discovering his Mother had died...and his Father was killed...by someone other than him - Carth's anger went completely over the edge - he slaughtered the family that had moved into his parents home in anger and then proceeded to his neighbours, who had previously ignored his cries for help against his Father; he slaughtered them too. Carth's anger lead him back to his Master; his mission was to find the Jedi responsible for killing his parents - his Master taught him almost everything that he needed to know about the Dark Side, he learned to use his anger even more so, he learned more than three ways of lightsaber combat and ways to see into the future. Carth's Master continued to train him in ferocious lightsaber combat, this turned out to be a severe error in his Master's training as almost two years after returning to him, Carth accidentally killed his Master during training - he told Carth he'd made him proud moments before he died - Carth showed little remorse for his Master's passing, he stole his lightsaber and proceeded to hunt down the Jedi responsible for his parents death. Carth found the Jedi after months of tracking and searching; he was lead to a large battle between Mandalorian's and small group of Jedi - before the battle commenced, Carth requested to join the Mandalorian's for the battle so he could get to the Jedi he had been hunting; they agreed - during the battle, Carth made himself known the Jedi from afar, it was as the battle commenced that a thermal detonator was thrown by a Mandalorian, it was, however, blocked and sent back towards the Mandalorian's, causing a massive explosion which hit Carth from a far - it was here that Carth lost a leg and both of his arms, he crawled himself back to his ship and returned to his residence on Coruscant. Carth was installed with robotic arms and a leg to help repair his shattered body, he sported a mask and continued to wear his long flowing black robes to shield his injuries; Carth's journey has taken a turn for the worse, but he is still hellbent on destroying the Jedi that killed his parents, after all, this Jedi wasn't just responsible for his parents death, but also for his injuries too...

SKILLS:
Carth learnt a lot for him Master when training. His lightsaber combat was a real example of true mastery, although he didn't learn much until his 2nd year in training with his Master. He learned to master the Form VI: Niman ways of combat; which was taught to him first, it took some time for Carth to practice this style of fighting. Initially he was happy to practice this style only, however his Master informed him that the more combat style he learnt, the less chance he had at being defeated. The second form of combat was the Form VII: Juyo/Vaapad, the most difficult out of the three that Carth was taught; this took up majority of a year to complete and even now it's still a difficult saber-technique to use. The final style of combat was the Form IV: Ataru; this was perfect for Carth's physique as he found it easier to move quick and perform leaps. However, since his injuries, his lightsaber abilities have decreased rapidly - he no longer has the ability to perform large leaps as he once did. He can still fight, but his chosen fighting technique is the Form VI: Niman. Carth's mastery was through the Force. He was taught a lot by his Master; he had studied many abilities, these included using the Dark Side to see into the future; reading someone's thoughts and opinions and even studying the basis of Force Stealth to help conceal his identity from other force sensitive people around him. Most of Carth's Force abilities are now overused than his skills with a lightsaber; this is due to the fact that he now believes he can no longer rely on combat to see his revenge plan through.

GEAR:
The only gear that Carth has are his two lightsabers. Despite the fact he may not use them as much in combat any more, he continues to have them underneath his black cloak.

RELATIONSHIPS:
K-0B6-JE3: Carth's only companion and the only person he shares any humanity with. Carth acquired JE3 when his old master was used in a test prepared by Carth's old Sith Master. JE3's Master was destroyed and ever since that moment, JE3's loyalties have remained with Carth ever since. JE3 was responsible for incorrectly installing Carth's robotic limbs; despite this, Carth didn't blame JE3 for the error, instead he blames the Jedi responsible for giving him the injury in the first place.

Thanks @Cable

Just wanted to apologies for roleplaying early, I didn't know I had to wait for approval because a PM I received said I didn't have to. I won't post any more until I hear from @Malon. Apologies again.

The only thing that may be a minor issue is the droid. I would say that you can just pick something similar to K-OB6 out of the Tech Compendium, such as this one but I realized that we really don't have very many droids that match his description. Your best bet would be to do a quick tech submission.
Here are links to help with that:

There is nothing wrong with Carth's bio that I can see, but keep in mind that while he could have lived on Coruscant for many years when it was still under the control of the Republic, the Empire did not gain power over the city planet until roughly five years ago when a force of Imperials and Sith stormed the city.

You can indeed post in anything that isn't faction-specific, such as battles and missions and the like, even while you wait for faction approval.

Thanks for the replies guys;
@Dark child : I get what you mean about the droid. What do you think would be a suitable one? He doesn't have the a protocol droid, he could just be a service droid of some sorts. Carth hasn't lived on Coruscant for years, he lived on Alderaan and arrived to Coruscant some years later, but that leads up the timeline of me RPG now. Which would only be about a year or so. He's also living in secret, so no one will know he's there as Sith.

@Relent: So shall I wait for the overall approval now or has my actual character been approved? I can easily edit the droid situation in my posts?

So the only thing I see while reading it that raises any concerns is: "he learned to use his anger even more so, he learned more than three ways of lightsaber combat and ways to see into the future."

If you're talking about standard Force precognition stuff (not allowed in PvP, I believe), that's fine because it's a pretty standard thing. Not advocating you to remove it by any means, as it shows development. If it's more than the standard precognition, how so? Expound on it a bit more, though realize that seeing into the future by any means while in PvP is disallowed, or at least I believe it is.

The second bit or, rather, the first, is the lightsaber combat thing. I think it's allowed that everyone can have a limited knowledge of all forms simply so that a Soresu master can still mentor an Ataru-focused student, etc. That said, realize that a jack of all trades who dabbles in many forms will not have as much experience with any given form compared to someone who picks one and sticks with it. By that I mean if you have 20 years of experience and you learn 4 forms (giving them each five years), you will invariably lose some experience from the first forms by the end of that 20 years and will, at best, only have five years of experience with each form. At the same time, a person with the same 20 years of experience who has specialized in one form has likely attained mastery or is, at least, very experienced in their chosen form.

That said, this TL is all about how you write as opposed to stats, form matchups, etc. I brought it up simply because it stood out to me and, while most of my characters know a second form, it's more to counteract the weaknesses of their chosen form. Xene is a Soresu-focused person, though knows some Djem So (IIRC) to allow him to speed up a duel with offensive moves if necessary. Perhaps Carth focuses on Niman but falls back on Makashi (as the precise bladework, footwork, etc might suit his frailer frame) or Soresu. Darth Bane taught Soresu to Zannah due to her frame (that might be legends rather than canon now but eh) so it could allow him a purely defensive fallback form in the event he is in lightsaber combat but needs to conserve energy to flee, counter with the Force, etc.

Thanks for your comment @Fyston

The comments about "seeing into the future" were literally that he can sense danger when it's arising, so it is just a standard thing. He can sense when something isn't right and even occasionally see certain things before they happen. That being said, it can't be used in combat for him - he would have to sit and delve into the force for some time before he'd get any kind of response to something like this; if that makes sense at all?

Carth's Master was simply as you put it to be honest; he was a dabbler in everything Dark Side related. He taught Carth the different lightsaber combat styles, but he has by no means mastered them at all. He was simply taught the basics of them, but "Form VI: Niman" was his main form of combat. His main abilities are through the force though, especially as he hasn't got much left to combat with. So I thought it would balance out the two if he had the strength in the force, but lacked some skills when it came to actual physical combat.

That being said, he's looking for way to repair his dodgy limbs lol :p
