The following is an article taken from a Holonet Blogger for the purpose of this file.
It seems like each time the dynamic duo leaves their home planet of Naboo, they go from a well respected and wealthy Mother/Son Duo to a dual set of party animals ready to turn up! I am of course talking about Ravira Devva and her adopted son Thaddeus. Eight years ago, Thaddeus was adopted by the Devvas and ever since we've fallen in love with this beautiful young man. I was lucky enough to party with him recently and I was not disappointed at all with his character. He was rather polite but still knew how to make the party go from a one to an eleven real quick. Plus he downed shots like there was going to be a some sort of Galaxy Wide Shortage sometime soon.
What struck me the most was his charm. As you my followers know, Thaddeus has never once been witnessed smiling. Yes this is strange but looking into those pale blue eyes of his, I couldn't help but get lost in them and the way he speaks is just delightful! His gorgeous accent combined with such articulation makes you wonder why we haven't seen him out and about with a lover at all. Sure he's only young, but I gladly would have been the first to volunteer for an opportunity to get in his bed! He also has a habit of making complete eye contact whenever you're speaking to him of vice versa. Not saying I'm complaining though. I mean, wouldn't you love to have him stare at you!?

Above is an example of the persona Thaddeus portrays to the public. He of course learned from the very best how to fit into society and climb through the ranks of fame from his beloved mother. However, when he is within the walls of the Devva Estate or just generally out of the public eye he changes. The charm remains but on a whole he becomes more cool and calculating. His intelligence shines through and he changes from flirtatious party boy to driven, perceptive young man. Above all else, he is ruled by logic which was brought on by his apathy. For some reason, he finds it extremely difficult to find within himself emotion or relate to the emotions of others. Yes, he can understand them and portray them when necessary but this is on a purely cosmetic level. It is because of this the wedge between him and his brother is so solid, because Thaddeus cannot relate to Antonius' emotional and hot headed personality. His apathy has damaged some relationships with others simply because he brushes off their concerns if they do not make logical sense to him. Despite this he can read other people like a book and can usually avoid offending them.
He has also developed an uncertainty of his self worth over the years. Not remembering his childhood, forming an intimate relationship with a male and being exiled by his brother are the key causes for this trait. He is not entirely sure where he belongs. Yes, he is intelligent and attractive. Yes, he has money. But where does he belong? Is there some grand destiny waiting for him or is he simply supposed to fade into obscurity? His only goal in life is to discover what he is meant for, to find a purpose. Not out of an emotional longing but rather a logical conclusion that everyone has something they are created for and therefore he must find what he needs to do.
In the very few opportunities Thaddeus has had, he has proven himself to be a capable leader and strategist. He knows exactly how to motivate those underneath him and see's combat as an intriguing game with many possible outcomes. While he does not enjoy fighting himself, he does like the opportunity to use strategies and see what works and what doesn't through trial and error.

On the way back to their home from a trip across the Galaxy, Quentin and Ravira Devva decided to land on the planet of Tattooine briefly to refuel and resupply. Along with their young son Antonius, the wealthy family traveled to Mos Eisley, one of the settlements where they entered a Cantina. It was there, Quentin and Ravira took pity on the boy known as Carbon. A small, bruised and sickly looking human child being used as labor to clean up the messes of the establishment. After inquiring, the two wealthy humans were appalled to learn the boy was a slave who was regularly beaten and abused by both his master and the patrons. Without a second thought, the charitable Quentin approached Carbons owner and bought the child. Leaving the planet soon after, a story was fabricated. This boy was an orphan from the Devvas latest humanitarian mission, adopted into the family due to his deceased parents having been good friends to their family.
Upon arriving on Naboo, Carbon was taken before a woman by the name of Yivo. Yivo was a Force Sensitive and an old friend of the Devvas. Upon request from Ravira, Yivo placed blocks on the childs mind to suppress his memories of his first nine years of life. Presented with a blank slate, the identity of Thaddeus Devva was crafted.
Thaddeus was raised in luxury with only the most elite of instructors. The Devvas being one of Naboos most wealthy families ensured that each and every convenience was at hand not only for the pale, blue eyed boy but also his black haired older brother. Quentin was usually away on business, keeping his lands fertile and well worked as well as busying himself with various humanitarian and charity missions which left the parenting to Ravira. A well known socialite across the Galaxy with radical political views, the woman hosted many functions and parties throughout Thaddeus' remaining youth giving him ample opportunity to pick up social skills and bury any remaining hint of his old self under a charming and well adjusted person. And while he did grow to become a well spoken, charming young man he never once smiled.
By the time he turned sixteen, Thaddeus was intelligent and quick witted. He had grown extremely close with his adoptive mother, to the point where clear favoritism was shown. His brother Antonius was being groomed to take over from his father but also showed great interest in the state of the Galaxy, stating his interest to pick a side in the brewing war between the Republic, Jedi and Sith. Thaddeus meanwhile was being taken to various social events alongside his mother, meeting well known faces and becoming something of a socialite himself. The mother/son duo quickly rose to prominence on the Holo Net, becoming some of the hottest faces among the online community. Needless to say, a rivalry bloomed between the brothers. Antonius was hot blooded, attractive and respected for his combat ability as a soldier. Thaddeus meanwhile was calm and collected, known for his mastery of words and subtle strategy when it came to combat. Antonius lived through his heart while Thaddeus took a breath and lived with his mind. Emotion vs Logic.
During this time, Thaddeus also discovered something about himself. He suffered from an apathetic personality but one of his friends suddenly began to draw his attention. He found himself more invested in this friends needs and emotions but struggled with the idea that his friend was a male and Homosexual relations were frowned upon throughout the galaxy as unnatural, even being almost as Taboo as Interspecies relations. Despite this he grew closer and closer with this friend until one day they became intimate on the balcony of a Hotel during one of Raviras social trips. After that, they became inseparable and yet even with this budding romance Thaddeus still found himself unable to smile.
That was when his first flashback occurred. Entering a Cantina one day, Thaddeus fell to his knees as images flashed through his mind that he couldn't understand. Of a boy being struck, thrown against walls and violated. Antonius watched his pale brother intrigued but in a rare act of kindness, accompanied him to Yivo who restored the blocks on the boys mind. During this, she informed both that she felt the Force awaken within Thaddeus. Yet another thing he had that Antonius did not. In a fit of anger, Antonius fled Yivos home and kept away from his brother for a year to come. Thaddeus meanwhile began to experiment with his abilities. He could summon a pen to his hand from across the room and soon found that he was able to offer a calming influence to others around him. He shared this with his lover who was intrigued at this.
Tragedy struck the Devva household during Thaddeus 18th year. During a humanitarian mission, Quentin was taken from the living world through a sudden Heart Attack. With this Antonius rose to the head of the Household, gaining a majority of the wealth and influence his father had held. After a month of mourning, he turned on his brother. During Ravira's birthday function within their own house, Antonius revealed a series of photos. They were of Thaddeus and his lover in various positions. For the first time in his life, Thaddeus felt anger overtake him and he struck his brother across the face. With a smile, Antonius looked down at his adopted brother and exiled him from the family despite Raviras protests. Thaddeus' lover was taken from the room and before Thaddeus could act in defiance he was escorted from the Devva grounds but not before Ravira could set him up with a considerable credit balance to access. With a kiss to the cheek, Ravira tearfully said farewell to her son. The incident overtook the Holonet like wildfire, tearing apart Thaddeus' reputation among the gossips and fame chasers of the Galaxy.
