Together with Mand'Alor the Chosen, Rud breaches the chamber where the government is at that very moment holding session. Here they will kill any and all Imperial representatives of the new Emperor and force the government to capitulate to Mandalorian rule.

Attackers: @Rud Solus (@Ecclessey) & @Raz Solus (@Sreeya)

Defenders: @Ilyra Visz (@Nefieslab) & @Zarya (@christhebarker)

A lightly elevated circle of sixteen bolted chairs was lighted by a glass ceiling from where the proud ruling body of Corellia could admire its own shipyards. They hadn't been threatened in centuries and the Empire, recognizing its worth, even turned it into a fortress world. Corellia was a proud member of the Imperial Core Group. They had no doubt their world was secure, for no one, not even the Mandalorians, were crazy enough to risk getting bombed to kriff like those foolish rebels were on Hoth. No matter what they did on Coruscant. Corellia would survive a mere terrorist thread just like Coruscant had. In fact, the council was sure it would only grow stronger...

"Ambassador Vane-" the Imperial ambassador stood in the middle of the circle as all members of the ruling council looked down upon him with greedy eyes of hopeful imperial favor. "-you will be pleased to know that we have another frigate ready to be delivered into the custody of the Imperial Fleet. We've named it-"

Meanwhile not far away in a small commercial freighter approaching a nearby dock, Rud once again checked his gear and while he knew that his rifle and pistol were loaded and the two extra magazines per weapon were secured on his person, what worried him more than he wanted to admit to Raz (@Sreeya) was that although his new cybernetics lower legs were less heavy than earlier versions, he still felt handicapped whenever he entered a ground skirmish. Just when he finished his check and put the rifle against his shoulder the white lights in the small cargo bay they were standing in died and were replaced by bright flashing red lights. "Showtime-" he said over the commlink he shared with the Mand'Alor as the ramp lowered. "-follow me."

Rud jumped from the freighter and activated his jetpack for a short twenty second flight before he was right on top of the government building. Below he could see the council in session, his scout HUD confirmed that all eyes were on the Imperial ambassador and his were on the one councilor that was speaking. If there were guards or Sith present they'd be in the adjoining room, separated from the discussion by durasteel doors.

Just when the new frigate's name was revealed, the glass ceiling was shattered by a blaster bolt from Rud's rifle and a mere second later he landed next to the ambassador. "Hello-" he pulled the trigger of his rifle again and the ambassador dropped dead with a blaster bolt in his heart, "-there."

Most councilors, both male and female, uttered high-pitched cries of terror as they jumped up to hide behind their chairs. With sixteen bolted chairs completing a full circle there was small cover from blasters and line of sight, but those chairs were also the only cover in the room and aside from the glass ceiling the durasteel doors that separated the councilors from potential guards was the only way in or out.

While their aim was to convince the councilors to capitulate to Mandalorian rule, Rud chose to focus on the durasteel doors next. His rifle aimed at the sliding door he walked slowly to his left to put one of the chairs between his body and the direction of potential hostiles.

Map.png

While I wrote that Rud could see all councilors through the glass ceiling, the image above does not seem to support such a line of view. That's merely because I found it to be visually distracting to enlarge the blue circle to the point where they cut the squares (bolted chairs) in half. Blame paint.

Raz followed Rud to the top of the building, having activated her jetpack. She had her usual gear, though she didn’t bother bringing the PIPE or her disruptor - both cumbersome weapons that ultimately wouldn’t do her good in close quarters. She instead brought a saber hilt and two beskad, along with her rifle and quickdraw. The quickdraw was a gift from Leandros, and it meant the world to her. Her grenades were on her person, hidden as always, and she had extra clips for her weapons.

For a moment, they had nothing to do but observe. Raz took the moment to fish out her comlink and type a quick message, Don’t die. Love, R, She put the comlink away shortly after. Leandros was on her mind even during such an operation, and she fretted over him far more than she would ever admit.

As soon as Rud crashed through the ceiling, Raz followed suit, dropping down below into a crouch. Her armor was unmistakable, the red and black trademark sign of a Solus. She was once again the faceless warrior that had become a thorn at the side of the Sith. Raz rose to stand, positioning herself against the back of the room and keeping her gaze on the doors ahead. She knew Sith weren’t foolish, and her attention was up on the ceiling as well.

Raz had no interest in killing anyone that surrendered, though the politicians certainly posed a problem by trying to cram out of the doorways.

Well Wookie's Whiskers this looked like a bad day now didn't it?

Ilyra had already not been too happy with being stationed on Corellia because it was normally seen as something of a "nothing" assignment and now she wasn't happy because it was the opposite... maybe she was just one of those people who was always unhappy unless there was something to complain about?

Maybe.

Either way, she spotted the Mandalorians breaking in through the roof from her position outside the capital building, which prompted her to move in. She left her fellow Sith to cover the low road however, instead using the Force to help herself scale the capital building. She approached the edge of the glass dome with her lightsaber ignited in her right hand and her quickdraw blaster pistol in her left hand.

The dome's bottom edge was stonework, effectively meaning that it acted as a wall that came up to her bellybutton. It did limit her view of the chamber somewhat, meaning that she actually only had eyes on one Mandalorian (@Sreeya ) while the other one she'd saw enter was out of her immediate view.

She could handle one mando... right?

Once again she had been stationed to defend Corellia, the last time she was here the jedi had revealed themselves to the empire alongside the Mandalorians.

The report of smashing glass at the dome was immediately suspect since all access to it had been guarded, she suggested her fellow acolyte check the roof out while she went to secure the conference room. she arrived with a single blade of saberstaff ignited, her view was blocked by fleeing politicians, she set herself up on the right side of doors, waiting for the politicians to clear before entering, she knew who would be brazen enough to attack the Corellia, the Mandalorians.

Maybe today was the day she would avenge her friend, Eddard.

When the doors slid open and the first councilors ran for the lift, Rud spotted the unmistakable sight of an ignited red lightsaber. A Sith's weapon and one he had seen before when the practitioners of the Force fell before him. Adrenaline started pumping and his mind regained the sharpness it had missed during his long rehabilitation, "Sith spotted-" he said in Mandalorian to his Mand'Alor over their shared comm as he watched the Sith move to cover to the left of the durasteel door.

Moving forward and to his own right, Rud put a different chair between himself and the durasteel door, which provided him with some cover and kept him from line of sight of the Sith that, unbeknownst to him, was above him. His rifle was aimed at the side of the door he knew the Sith was hiding, ready to fire a barrage of lethal shots the second the enemy would show himself. The councilors, who didn't run passed the Sith as if he was invisible, confirmed both his locations to Raz in case she hadn't spotted him, but also kept a large enough distance on their way to the lift that they couldn't be used as a living shield.

Barely two seconds after he told Raz about the Sith, Rud abandoned cover and dashed towards the door shooting twice towards the Sith's position to suppress him. He left just enough space to his right for Raz to come alongside him and even pass him by if she was so inclined.

Raz didn’t exactly plan to hang around in her position forever. She watched a few politicians cram through the doorway and activated her jetpack. Raz saw the Sith beginning to emerge on top of the ceiling, but she didn’t bother with her for now. Her quickdraw was already out, beskad in left hand. Raz jetted forward across the room in one fluid motion, zooming into the refreshments room. She moved past Rud on his right to circle around and face the Sith there.

If the green woman attempted to shoot or use the Force, Raz would adjust accordingly. She was positioned to quickly react and fire shots at the woman if she attempted a push, and any shots from the Sith’s quickdraw would be addressed depending on what the woman did.

Granted that the woman couldn’t intervene, Raz would be in the new room and firing two rounds with her quickdraw towards the Sith Rud targeted. She was slightly diagonal and facing towards the refreshment room corner and glass dome room to ensure visual on the second Sith from the ceiling. Her shots were aimed at Zarya’s legs.

Time to earn her stripes and hopefully not die!

There was still only one that she could see so that was the one she was gonna do her best to un-alive! Leveling her quickdraw blaster pistol, she pulled the trigger once, aiming for Raz's chest/upper body as she rocketed forwards, two bolts leaving the barrel for the one squeeze of the trigger. She led her shots so that they would impact the Mandalorian even if she continued forwards, hopefully forcing her to disengage from her charge and focus on her.

She wasn't exactly excited about being the centre of attention for a Mandalorian but she would be fine with it she supposed.

As soon as she fired, Ilyra was moving to her right, along the rim of the dome, keeping her blaster pistol trained on those below. She would move around the dome in an anti clockwise direction, keeping her eyes peeled on the people below her to either react or act as needs be.

Hopefully she would have attracted some attention because gods knew the pink lady didn't exactly need more of it.

Still, she was prepared to engage again, beginning to draw on the Force as she moved, pooling it into her body for now.

Zarya took a concussion grenade from her belt just after she arrived at the right side, preparing for her breech, as the blaster fire began she armed the grenade, counting it down for two seconds before throwing it at the door frame and open door on the opposite side at the angle so it would bounce into the meeting room and detonate.

While this happened her lightsaber was facing towards the doors ready to deflect any attack that might come past the door. The shots that were fired towards her, one hit the door frame while the other went wide and landed in the wall above the refreshments leaving smoking scorch marks. After throwing the grenade left her hand she drew one of her throwing knives from her belt, prepared in a throwing position.

Rud had just about reached the doorway when a grenade came his way at shoulder-height. There wasn't much he could do, so he hit it back where it came from with the butt of his rifle before crossing the threshold proper and looking right at the Zeltron Sith. Kriff..

Before either could act the concussion grenade detonated with both of them caught in the blast. No one would be able to tank something like that, not even a battle-hardy Mandalorian, and like the Sith, Rud would see the blinding flash from up close. Anyone standing in the conference room wouldn't be affected as the wall negated its effects.

Disorientation was not only total, but immediate and the only thing Rud's brain managed to process was the very loud ringing in his ears. With his ears affected it was impossible to keep his balance and while he tried to stay upright, his struggle moved him a few steps closer to the table with refreshments before he finally dropped to his hands and knees.

Raz had eyes on the Sith on the ceiling, and she clearly saw the woman level the gun. As the shots came, she reacted with lightning speed, dodging to her own left as the incoming bolts whizzed past her. This meant Raz cut clear to the left and towards the left wall and far behind the chairs, completely out of line of sight of the woman. She landed in the corner before entering the refreshment room, no longer having a straight trajectory with her jetpack.

The green woman would have to shift all the way around the dome to get visual and angle on Raz again, but the Mandalorian wasn’t waiting around after she landed. The sound of a grenade going off could be heard in the next room. Raz spun around to face back towards where the green woman could be and flew into the next room with her jetpack.

The Mandalorian leveled and fired her quickdraw at the Sith woman in the next room - who would no doubt be reeling from the grenade blast - and fired two bolts to take her out of the fight entirely. Even if the green woman managed to jump down or do anything else, Raz would be able to prepare a defense. The woman had no visual on her, and by the time she circled around to see her, Raz would be in the next room and attacking. If the woman jumped down, she would have to do that first before launching a viable attack, by which time Raz would still be in the next room and firing at the other Sith.

Kark... who was this Mandalorian chick?! She was like greased lightning or some shite! She managed to turn on a credit chip and evade Ilyra's shots like it was nothing! Though, to be fair, Ilyra would be the first to admit that fighting a Mandalorian with a pistol was probably a bad move - it was like playing a board game with the creator of said board game. You could be good but they would always have a little bit of an edge.

Unless you got really lucky of course.

Okay so maybe the high ground wasn't that great because now she had a problem.

All the action was happening downstairs!

She really hoped that her ally wasn't going to be pink paste by the time she got there... holding her lightsaber in her right hand and her blaster in her left, she made sure the blade was in front of her but not in a position to be used against her at all by a rough landing - and immediately stepped off.

The Force had been building up around her and inside of her and Ilyra used it now, used it to make her landing nothing more stressful than stepping off a slightly too-large step. Well she was the cat amongst the birds now... or was she the bird jumping down into the cat enclosure at the zoo?

Whatever.

She raised her pistol at the ready and started to move closer to the door to the other room. She had stepped off to the right of the door so she wasn't fully in fight and her landing had been quiet, all things considered. The Mandalorian knew she was here but she should have no reason to suspect that she had jumped down... except that staying up there might not make any sense.

Kark okay so maybe she was in for a fight.

Zarya threw her throwing knife as Mandalorian crossed the threshold, she saw he had hit back her concussion, this was her last chance to do something before the world would disappear in bang and a flash of white.

It was blinding, she had never experienced what it was like to be on the receiving of a concussion grenade, she couldn't hear anything except the acute ringing in her ears, she could barely keep her balance, then she felt it, that familiar burn of a blaster bolt hitting its mark, she screeched as her legs clasped under the pain, deactivating her blade as fell, the burning spread across her legs, I'll she could feel was pain, she didn't know what happened, she couldn't see what caused pain, she couldn't even hear her own cry of pain. until her sense came back, she didn't know what the world had installed for her.

There was no up or down, left or right for Rud as his world swirled around and around inside his helmet. Deafened by an intense ringing in his ears and the mother of all headaches, the Mandalorian did all he could to stay on both hands and knees. He knew, through the internal cries over the pain and disorientation, that he had fallen with the Sith to his left and thus he, with considerable effort, was crawling slowly forwards. He knew that the closer he was to the refreshment table the easier the Mand'Alor could protect his sorry ass.

Kriff. Barely back in the field and given the great honor to accompany Mand'Alor the Chosen and he gets hit with a concussion grenade before he can even put an aimed shot at a target.

As he crawled forward he noticed another pain. Just before the grenade's blast hit both Rud and the Sith, the latter had managed to throw a knife that had scratched the armor on Rud's shoulder. Somehow he felt it, but it was only superficial and it wouldn't restrict his movement once the effects of the concussion grenades wore off.

The other Sith was down and completely out of the fight, smoke rising from where her blaster bolts had hit. Raz knew there was one Sith remaining, and she had nothing to do but jump down. Even so, the green woman purposely stayed out of view, learning quickly that Mandalorians were rather dangerous. Rud was proof that Mandalorians could be obnoxiously stubborn in battle.

Raz wasted no time, whizzing across in the blink of an eye towards where the Sith was slumped on the ground. From green lady’s vantage point, this put her left of the door. Both women were out of sight of one another. Raz casually punched the terminal to close the doors, shutting them in green lady’s face. The durasteel doors slammed in place, blocking the woman from entering. Raz punched into the terminal, jamming the doors so they couldn’t be opened via terminal anymore. The green lady would have to cut through or jump up through the ceiling and take a very long way back inside.

She stepped back from the terminal, her gun and blade still at the ready. Raz was more than ready for the green Sith depending on what she did, and if there was no immediate threat she took a moment to collect all the weapons the red Sith carried on her. Raz kicked Rud on the side with her boot, “Get it together,” She grumbled.

She also realized she was in the refreshments room. Raz walked over to help herself to a bag of chips, lifting the visor to pop a few into her mouth. Of course, all assuming there wasn't someone trying to barge in through the doors.

Did... did that Mando missy just slam the doors on her?

Ilyra was fuming.

Who the hell did that badger shagging piece of shite think she was?! Slamming the door on her - how rude! She stared at the door for a second in utter shock before feeling with the Force. Her ally was... dying? Waning? Either way, her ally was down and wasn't going to be any kind of help to her.

Which left her facing down two Mandos if she managed to break down that door. Even with all of her anger at being snubbed... she wasn't stupid.

"... my brother is gonna be so mad at me..." she muttered to herself as she gathered the Force to her legs and hopped up onto one of the bolted on tables, "But screw this kark, I'm not getting killed over a bloody door... Sorry pinky but I'm bugging out."

Unless something stopped her, Ilyra would use the Force to power a mighty leap to bring her back up to the rooftop and she would start to head on off to her ship to escape the planet.

the first sense that came to her was hearing, the ringing was still prominent but she could hear outside of it and she heard the punching of the terminal and shutting of the durasteel doors, her sight partially came back to the view of the other Mandalorian that had shot her disarming her, she thought about resisting her but she didn't want to give her an excuse to end her life and not that she able to put up much of a fight anyway. so she sat there and waited for her to be done, looking at the two wounds in her legs while sensing through the force for her comrade.

Sensing out she felt her gathering force in her legs, she knew what she was doing and she didn't blame her, she would have likely done the same, the sith way was self-preservation.

"so what happens now, is this where you kill me in cold blood, as your people did to my friend, or this part where you regale to me about how you're superior to me, and then kill me in cold blood," she spoke it between deep breaths behind a pained expression looking at the female Mandalorian.

"If you are going to kill me, at least do me the honour of putting a weapon in my hand before you do, solus verd at a'uym." The mando'a at the end was rough and most likely mispronounced as she wasn't a fluent speaker and the pain wasn't exactly helping her memory.

The moment Rud began to reclaim some of his senses was coincidently also the moment Raz decided to kick him, causing him to lose balance again and fall to his side. If they hadn't been wearing helmets she would've seen the betrayed look on his face, eyes bulging and mouth open to ask that one word. "Why?"

Rud now slowly got back up on his feet, using the refreshments table as support, and turned to face the Zeltron Sith. "Look at the Sith-" he managed a small grin, despite the headache making it slightly painful to laugh. "-They murdered millions on Medriaas in cold blood. Men, women and children. But this one dares to claim the moral high ground?" He wasn't about to mention that he was the one who killed the Imperial Ambassador in cold blood, like he had once killed innocent bystanders on Onderon and that the moral high ground was something he had personally lost years ago.

The moment they had dealth with the Zeltron he would make sure to reconvene the Corellian government to council and demand their capitulation as intended. As if the Sith hadn't even tried to stop it.

Raz was still crunching on chips when the Sith came to. She realized by now the other Sith fled, and she couldn’t blame her. The Mandalorian was reaching for some cookies when the Sith woman began to talk, and Raz simply sighed. She walked over to the woman and didn’t listen to a word she was saying. Without a word, Raz drew out the woman’s own saber, ignited and sliced it towards her. The gesture was smooth, quick and efficient and would cut off her left arm from the shoulder down.

The Mandalorian switched off the saber and would leave the woman in agony, stepping back, “You talk too much,” She turned to Rud and jutted her chin towards the door behind them so they could leave the area.

If the Sith woman tried to put up a fight or retaliate, Raz wouldn’t hesitate to kill her.

With her senses fully restored, Zarya finally noticed who the female Mandalorian, her red and black colour scheme and pattern along with the sigil on the left shoulder it was unmistakenly Raz Solus, the Mandalore.

She watched as the Mandalore drew Zarya's own saberstaff, ignoring the other Mandalorian, she closed her eyes as the Mandalore raised the blade, not saying a word if she was going to die she would face Death with dignity, she screamed in agony as the lightsaber cut through her arm.

Opened her eyes to see her served arm slumped beside her, shaking both pain and shock, she tried to speak through quivering lips though nothing but whispered gibberish escaped them as she tried to process the loss her limb. Zarya just stared at her arm not paying any attention to the world around her.
