*Camulos walked through the halls of the Sith Academy. There was something different about the air. It wasn't anything like he had ever inhaled before. It was thicker...colder. Though it may not be quite as easy to breath, he welcomed this new air. As he walked, he thought about the many other people who have been trained here. Many of the greatest Sith have probably been trained in the very halls he strode through. As he approached a door, he saw a sign next to it reading "0183". Yep, this was it. He walked forward and the doors slid open automatically. He took caution upon entering. Sure it was a Sith training room, but it was training. He had to be ready for anything. He hadn't seen anyone in the room, so he stepped to the left of the door and leaned against the wall, awaiting whoever might be training him. From previous knowledge of the Sith, Camulos had one thing on his mind: absolute obedience.*

Rogal entered shortly after, he didn't have much to do, but punctuality was never his strong point.

He strode into the room, not his normal terrain. He preferred either outdoors, or down in the forges. But here was fine by him...

He looked around, and saw his next trainee by the door, more or less human, fairly tall. Hopefully not useless, naive or stupid.

So, why are you here?

He walked further into the room, looked around a bit before saying,

Oh, and your name?

He didn't really like his demeanour at the start of training, but it tended to help to figure out the pupil before being less formal and so forth...

*Camulos followed the man with his eyes. Not exactly suprised, but not exactly expected. His new master looked wise. Looked like he had seen and done a lot. It wasn't exactly physical. It was more his motions and attitude. Camulos was very observant. And he knew what people wanted to hear. However, he was not a suck-up by any means. He bowed his head slightly towards his master, his eyes on the floor.*

"My name is Camulos Abistus.", he said, before raising his eyes to look at his master directly.

"I am here to do what you ask."

Rogal smiled, he liked the way this kid thought, bu the wanted to know more than that.

But, [why/i] are you here, why did you wish to join our ranks?

He always enjoyed the answer to this question, and it was always good to know a person's motives.

So, Camulos, what do you know of the Sith and our code?

*Jace was glad that Rogal wanted a serious answer. He wasn't just some sap who would except flattery. He wanted to know why he was here. Jace really had one mission.*

"I wish to join the ranks of the Sith to rid of any light that has been bestowed on me. When I was born, I was weak, and my birth-givers didn't think I would live. They washed me in the water of Kashyyyk with the Force to heal me, and make me as healthy as a normal baby. But they are weak. And I wish to prove to them and myself that I do not need the light, weaker side of the Force to survive. I will substitute it with the dark side."

*Jace searched the back of his mind. He had a fair knowledge of Sith lore and history. And as an initiate, he had to know the code.*

"Because there is so much history, I'm guessing you don't want me to recite it. But the Sith code is: Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall set me free."

He paused, taking in what he had just said to a deeper level.

Rogal smiled. Ridding himself of the light, huh? Not too disimilar an idea to him. Though sometimes, the light was a useful tool. A fantastic trick, and an even better disguise...

Well, he certainly seemed intelligent, and he already knew the code, which was perfect.

Another simple question. What does the code mean to you? What do you understand by it?

He paced slightly, thinking over what Camulos had said, bathed in the light? Interesting. He could, in that case, be easily hidden from those who walked in it. Regardless, now was the time for training.

While my mind is on it, do you carry a weapon?

He grinned, if he did, then good. If he didn't then a trip was required. Rogal loved trips, new things to see, tricks to try out and people to play with. Great fun!

Having trained Camulos in concert with one of his other apprentices, he was ready to begin training him again by himself.

He was waiting for Camulos to turn up, so that they could begin fashioning his weapon, the lightsaber, that so epitomised the Sith and Jedi alike...

*Camulos walked through the automated doors once again into a room that was rather familiar. It was nearly identical to the room he had had Force training in, except he saw something that looked like a craftsman's work bench. He smiled and bowed to his master, an arm full of parts in hand. He motioned for his master to wait a moment for him, as he strode over to the work bench and dropped all of the parts to the side of it. He knew that one of his tasks as a Sith was to build a lightsaber. He had read about it at the Academy.*

"Hello, Master. I have some basic parts for a lightsaber, in case you're running low.", Camulos said, anxious to build and use a lightsaber.

Well prepared I see! He laughed, then continued, I like it!

Constructing the basc lightsaber was easy, it was the crystal, and everything to do with it that took time, and effort.

You should know the basics of how to construct a 'saber. In fact, it should be easy for you to build one, it's the crystl you'd struggle with.

He laughed and continued, Unless you intend a curved handle, or anything special, such as a dual phase function, or specialised core it could be built in around half an hour.

He strode over to the bench, Well, do you intend any special function...?

*Camulos couldn't think of anything like a special modification he wanted to add. He had thought about dual-wielding a pair of lightsabers, or maybe even a double-bladed lightsaber, but he thought something traditional would be best. Seeing how he had heard many rumors of his master's excellence at the form of Ataru, he wished to ask his advice.*

"Well, Master, I hope for you to teach me Ataru. Seeing how you are of master of said form, I will accept your advice. Whatever you see fit for Ataru, I will build.", Camulos said, once again making a slight bowing motion towards his master.

Ataru... Easily his favorite form, based simply off of it's style; speed, fluidity, acrobatics.

Well, for Ataru, I use a curved handle, but many other use straight handles. It's simply aesthetic when it comes to it. Other forms the curve affects reach, btu with Ataru, reach is never an issue. Neither is position. Of course, dual phase is ever an option, very hard to get working right, but the ability to add a foot of extra blade is always a good thing...

He chuckled a bit, remembering some of his best fights, before the armour. Good times...

So, what's it to be, master Camulos? Curved, or straight? Simple, or very very complex?

"You are a great Master. I put trust in your selection. Therefor, I will build a curved lightsaber.", Camulos said, smiling.

*The feeling of his master calling him master was odd. Camulos wasn't used to it. He walked to the work bench and started putting together various parts of the lightsaber, but only the most basic. He, of course, needed a crystal. But he had a marvelous idea. An idea that would insure that no one could use his lightsaber but him.*

"Master, I do not know how to construct a lightsaber with a curved handle, nor do I have a crystal. But, as a security measure, I have a curved fingerprint scanner I wish to imbed into my lightsaber. This way, only I can ignite it."

A clever move, though, in fairness, if you are without your blade, you are usually in a lot of trouble. He laughed, and continued, Though i have enough faith in you to say I expect that to be a very very infrequent event!

It wasn't long before the weapon's curved handle was complete, with only a few aesthetic modifications befoer it was complete. Of course, there wa the crystal to attend as well.

The crystal won't be that hard to find, provided you don't seek any fantastically rare one. Like mine, for instance! He laughed, Any preference as per the colour?

*Camulos laughed with his master, feeling a little more settled now that he was somewhat knowledgable with the Force. During the break he had had between this weapons training and his Force training, he had gotten a lot of practice with the Force. He already knew he wanted to learn Ataru, so he made sure he could especially perform physical aspects of the Force with ease. The amount of work he put into practice had obviously paid off, for he no longer needed to focus to use the Force. It had become second nature to him, requiring less thought. He knew this was needed for lightsaber training, for it would be much better if one could use the Force to aid him in combat.

As he perused through the color wheel in his mind, one color stuck out at him. He looked at his incomplete lightsaber and closed his eyes, envisioning a blade. Yellow seemed to go very well. He imagined himself sparring with the yellow blade. The color was simple, basic, and traditional, but had sort of a personality. He had seen many blue, green, and red lightsabers since he had enlisted into the ranks of the Sith, but he had not seen many yellow blades. With a smile, he opened his eyes and suggested to his master,*

"I would prefer a yellow blade, master. I will go the distance to get said colored crystal, regardless of what may stand in the way.", Camulos said, doing the final touches to the finger print scanner and the basic components. All he really needed now was the crystal.

Yellow huh...? He wanted a yellow one... Where were yellow crystals these days...? Though the Jedi were coming out of Exile they hadn't yet moved back into their old homes... Like on...

Ossus. He grined at Camulos, maybe he knew that was the site of a great Jedi temple, maybe not. Either way, There are the most amazing caves there, with crystals of almost all colours, except those most rare ones, like silvers and purples. But it should be no problem finding a yellow. Getting to it, maybe, but not finding it.

He laughed, and said, So, you need to travel to Ossus. If i were you, i'd take something to defend yourself, just in case it gets sticky.

((OOC: don't bother making another thread, just post a mini thread in here, like what mrun did in his.))

*Camulos nodded to his master with a smile, picking up the unfinished lightsaber on his way to the door. He turned his head towards his master behind him, though not looking at him.*

"I am confident in my abilities with the Force, my master. I have gotten a lot of practice in."

*Camulos boarded a transport and flew to Ossus. He walked onto the surface with pride, looking at the abandoned buildings. He had hoped no Jedi were there. Sure, he was quite capable with the Force, but he wasn't sure he was ready for a Jedi. He saw a small crevice in a cliff, and snaked himself through it. It was dark inside, but the little bit of light that came from the crevice shined upon the walls, giving a slight sparkle as it hit crystals. They each had their own color, some looking blue, others green. He even saw one that looked slightly pink. As he saw the color yellow sparkle in the corner of his eye, he grabbed a nearby pick-axe and hit the wall of the cave, right beside the crystal. The crystal dislodged itself from it's place on the cave wall, and Camulos grabbed it from off the ground, marveling at it's beauty. He grabbed the incomplete lightsaber at his side, and opened it up, knowing exactly where to lodge the crystal: just before the focusing crystals. He focused the Force in the hand that held the crystal, and engulfed the crystal with the Force from within himself. Securing it in its place, he closed the lightsaber, and made sure it would not reopen apart from the crystal's chamber. He put his hand around the hilt, and the blade sprung to life from the feel of his unique Force signature which was embedded in his fingerprints. Satisfied, Camulos boarded the same transport he had taken on the way over, and flew back to Korriban.*

*Camulos stepped through the doors of the training room, holding his lightsaber in his hand. Luckily, it would only ignite if he focused the Force within his hand, so he could still hold it without it igniting. After some thought, he realized he didn't just want to be another Ataru user. He was going to meld it with a more elegant style.*

"Master, I've studied up on both Ataru and Makashi. I wish to meld the principles of these two forms together. I am an experienced acrobat, but I wish to overwhelm my enemy with lightning-fast, precise strikes of the lightsaber. Could you accomidate this training?", Camulos asked with hope.

He grinned as Camulos re-entered, glad to see him alive, and with lightsaber in hand. Clearly he had found what he wanted... Under any other circumstances, Rogal would have killed him, or at least, moved to defend himself. Walking around with a lightsaber in your hand, ignited or not, was not a wise move in any Sith academy, least of all here...

So, you finished it without me? May I see it?

He held out his had to receive the lightsaber, and replied to his request at the same time;

Certainly, I know enough Makashi to teach it, and I'm easily good enough with Ataru to merge the two together quite nicely...

*Camulos noticed the alarmed look on his master's face, and followed his master's eyes to his lightsaber. He realized that a lightsaber was a weapon, and should not be wielded unless there was a plan to use it. He showed an apologetic expression, before slowly handing his master his lightsaber. He was quite proud of it. Rather than blocky, decorative lightsabers, he prefered sleek, curved lightsabers. He found it gave him more freedom to spin it in his hand, and he didn't have to settle his grip in any one place, for he could grip it anywhere.*

"Yes, my master. I apologize for completing it without you, but I think you will find excellent craftsmanship in it's construction. I suppose I was a bit anxious."

After hearing his master's words, his eyes lit up with glee. A combination between Makashi and Ataru would be perfect. The wicked-fast acrobatics of Ataru and the precise strikes of Makashi would impose a threat upon both groups of enemies and single enemies.

"Thank you, Master. What I intend to meld is the body movements of Ataru, with the lightsaber movements of Makashi.", Camulos added, eyeing his lightsaber.

Rogal took the lightsaber in his hand, and laughed, when he realised that he would be unable to inspect it...

Two of his students now did this dna scanner thing... He would have to watch for that mistake in future...

Tossing the blade back to Camulos, he said, In that case, we may as well begin. I'm gussing you're already good at the whole acrobatics thing? Well, just to make sure, perhaps a brief sparring session is in order?

Reaching into his robes, he withdrew the sleek black curve that was his lightsaber, and ignited the blade, it's black blade blending perfectly with the handle, and almost seething with energy...

So, attack!

*Without hesitation, Camulos leapt towards his master, the Force propelling him. With a barrel-roll motion, he slashed downward to his master's head. The Force flowed through his veins, and enhanced his movements. However, he would have to get used to wielding the lightsaber. A sword has counter-weight, which is the blade. But the blade of the lightsaber has no weight, making it equally lethal to the user.*
